I wish one of the heroic rescue divers would challenge him and run for PM in this so called "election". They know and proved how it is to sacrifice for the wellbeing of other humans.

From performing nationalistic karaoke songs, reciting pathetic poems, periodic costume promoter, and writing scripts of heroic soaps, to choreography of civil servants,- what's next in a nation where every parking lot attendant wears uniforms like a Korean Rear Admiral? When I was drafted they made the rookies wear training cloth for the first three weeks just to let them know where their place is among all these uniformed superiors.
Here the uniform craze starts in kindergarten, to schools, universities and does not even end in corporate life.
All affords to turn a population into a uniformed army of ants have to be seen as a psychological tool to establish and maintain a very questionable, unnecessary hierarchy. The same man told students to think critically. Why,- just to find out who may be a nonconformist?

It was not the media! It was probably one of these macho mama boys who never learned how to behave.

So when is the right time? We have the Death railroad and Auschwitz as a touristdestinations and as a reminder of life, war and death. So why shouldnt this village make something good for themselves, and make a future when they have the chance?
Auschwitz is not considered a tourist destination, it is a Holocaust Memorial not Disneyland.

Too bad there was no Chinese harbour master to blame who let the boats go out to sea under critical weather conditions.

In Phuket, they could offer the ultimate shrimp buffet for chinese tourists - no make that the ultimate chinese tourist buffet for shrimp.
Why do they always choose the bulb with the lowest light level in the chandelier, for the job as Sports and Tourism Minister? This kind of corpses tourism is disgusting. Will they offer a 14 day trip to the Tham Luang cave, Koh Tao, Koh He, and the most notorious balconies of Pattaya?
Here is an alternative idea, of which I think the Sports and Tourism Minister may find it a tad inappropriate for his distinguished taste:

The tourists have learned the harsh lessons of boat safety and need to stick to the roads in future for a more uniform dispatching.
...and don't forget, there are more chalk outlines of bodies on the tarmac than zebra crossings.

Relax all y'all. Why being concerned about a couple of drowned tourist? It's a matter of fate not responsibility! Even this couldn't hurt Thai tourism:

R.I.P. Hero! What I don't understand is, as a well trained professional diver knowing the difficult circumstances and the capacity of his air tank, why did he dive alone?

Exactly right! Anyone with a reasonable amount of seagoing experience should be able to recognise this scenario and act accordingly.
As the old adage says: "the right time to take in sail in such conditions, is when you first think of it".
The "captain's" experience and qualifications should be put under a microscope, as should the construction, modification history, maintenace and safety inspection records of this passenger vessel.
Of course, this being Thailand..............................
"Helplessly Hoping" should be considered as an alternative national anthem here.

Any opportunity to grab a dollar never gets missed does it? They had better hope they all come out OK then or it will be a morbid attraction, not a tourist one. I can't believe they are talking of tourism when the poor kids are still inside there.
Graveline Tours provided overview of LA's famous crimes history. This tour started out in late '90's as one guy in a hearse driving around a handful of riders in LA's famous neighborhoods -- focused on infamous crime scenes.
Can't be long and Koh Tao offers tours in an ambulance to all the places where tourists were killed.

After officials in Thailand already announced plans to promote Tham Luang cave to tourists, I wonder if they have any plans to make sinking, exploding and burning boats a tourist attraction.
