Opening to other countries or opening for internal travel?
They should open up for internal travel in Thailand because the numbers are so low.
Only those hotspot provinces like southernmost Thailand (Patani, Yala), Phuket and Greater Bangkok should be lockdown further.
They should open the rest of the provinces for normal activities with this low number of newly infected cases.
Agree 100%

John Doe won't get the same .
That's life.
Get over it.
John Doe is not British so he certainly won't benefit from the NHS.

You seem to have developed rules to suit yourself rather than what is being recommended by knowledgeable sources. Your 1.5m seems short, and how do you determine a mask is not needed?
Are you deliberately trolling?
To be fair, it is all in here and the masks will not prevent a healthy person picking up the virus. That said, if the lawmakers say “wear a mask” then whether it is pointless or not doesn’t matter, I will comply. :-

The charm went a long time ago...it was wonderful until the likes of Sea Saran and all the other developers started building shoebox condos...how many now..20. The beach has all but gone and made way for parking..befor was great to sit on a mat and order food. The seafood restaurants that at best are only mediocre now are charging double to only a few years ago. How many 7/11s now...5?...CJ, lotus, big c...its ruined the place. What once was a wonderful fishing village is no more than Pattaya dark side with a bit of a view. One track pony town full of redneck pattaya rejects, its ruined....no bank, nothing...anything you want to do involves going to Sattahip or Pattaya such as Internet, water, electric companies. Go for a day..OK but live there...The op could look at Jomtien, vibrant nightlife, banks, immigration office, easy access to Pattaya..baht bus route, beach, foreign food supermarkets...yes and due to infrastructure easier to get around than Bang Saray.. Ample houses at 10k up in quite areas and yet one minute from everything..schools abound, either government or private within 5 minutes..
Jomtien is not a patch on the relative quality of life in Bang Saray................. unless you enjoy being swamped by Russians. It is becoming more western dominated than Hua Hin.
Rarely is there a need to venture into Pattaya; if your need is greater then live there, or Jomtien which is a lot closer. I agree about the traffic, especiaally at weekendss, but I wouldn't take my car out then whether I lived in Bang Saray, Jomtien or Pattaya itself. 30 mins on my motocy to Friendship or Siamsburys or my regular massage shop.
Big C and Makro at Sattahip are 15 mins away and it is useful having Utapao airport half an hour away.
They haven't spoilt Bang Saray for me yet, but I can see that it will not be too many years before they do.

Pardon? So why do people get arrested for not having their passport?
People don't get arrested. There have been VERY rare occasions of foreigners being detained at a police station while someone goes to get their passport.
As you are so cock-sure you will no doubt post the appropriate link to the Thailand Civil and Commercial Code that contains this legal requirement.

As far as I know, it STILL is an obligation for non-Thais to carry their passports at all times.
People have been held until their passport could be produced. Now? I certainly don't leave home without my passport.
Wrong.
As you are every time you repeat it.

Yes, I know there are probably more cases out there, but from the perspective that the government has been saying it would only ramp up restrictions if the figures got worse, we can at least hope for some sense of normality to return, as opposed to things getting tighter.
.... Or, you could be applying logic where none usually exists.

Johnson’s callous herd immunity experiment has failed.
Interestingly the government are predicting when the peak mortality will occur but have failed to give the associated estimate of deaths.
The widely touted figure is 20,000. I believe that a health ministry spokesperson said less than 20,000 deaths would be a “good result”.
I own a crematorium so I am aware that within the cremation industry those sort of numbers are being factored into current planning.

I had flights canceled for 23 April.
The website options are only for vouchers or rescheduling (despite the link being refund/change).
I had to call the number quoted, took 20 mins wait, but got through and refund processed.

AFAIK, he has to leave every 90 days under his (presumably Non-Imm 'O' visa ME based on marriage).
I am not aware that Thai Immigration have made any dispensation to overrule this requirement. It is not like an extension of a visa, it is the requirement to leave after 90 days.
