Now when the first problems arrive, the Brexiteers are crying and see that there are also negative sides of the Brexit (what everybody else saw before). Yes, that´s a kind of funny.
Cheap shot, Inaccurate - but predictable. This situation is NOTHING to do with Brexit.

Actually living here, I'm familiar with this BigC. (In fact the missus and I were there about 2 hrs. before this occurred.)
There are two actual parking lots/entrances. The front/main parking is on the main road leading into town. Around back, there is a second and slightly larger lot that actually abuts a large open field (sometimes used for overflow parking for the Songkran holiday shopping crowds). From the OP, my guess is that they set up the sting out back, where there are many empty parking spots at the edge of the parking lot near this open field. When he sussed out the situation, he must have run into the back entrance of the store and out through the front, hoping to shake the coppers in the crowd. From the photos I saw, it appears he tried to run across the main road out front and may have been shot on the opposite side of the road from BigC.
Yes, in Thai social media the Fortune hotel was mentioned.

No not saying that, it's one less to worry about, but if he was a known " famous" drug dealer they probably knew he could carry a firearm, so would be wiser to choose a less crowded place for their sting operation
Fair point but the 'sting' was set up in the car park. Whether they had considered a possible escape through the store is an interesting point.
I guess you can't set these things up in an open field - was Big C car park the best place? In hindsight probably not. Perhaps they didn't expect him to have a gun - or shoot it. Thankfully it was a good result I am happy to praise the police for ensuring that the general public were not harmed.

So you would rather they just left him alone ?

If they are NOT BEING TESTED it is recommended to isolate for 14 days as this will allow time for the symptoms to show.
If you ARE TESTED and clear there is no need to quarantine for the full 14 days as you don't have the virus.
What do you not understand?
I did not say that...you have the wrong quote !
What do you not understand about quoting posts ????????...

So why then is the WHO and other expert organizations saying quarantine should be 14 days?
In the case of Buriram's actions I would say that is a good thing.

Yes, but what about the reporting system? The T8 is not what we're talking about.
Crossed wires then...... -

Does the app actually contain the reporting system? I didn't look too deeply when I installed it (just to have a look) but as far as I'm aware it only had an electronic copy of the T8 baked into the old app.
yes. There was a link that took you to the TM8 form. Took about 2 minutes....if you have your passport details to hand.
The successful submission is acknowledged and it is recommended that a screenshot of that is taken and shown to the IO.

I would assume you will be given any and all info when intercepted and checked at point of entry.
You can prepare in advance and take a screenshot to show the Immigration Officer.

It is an app from the AOT website.
Doesn’t take long to complete.

Special quarantine areas will be introduced at hospitals in the province, while a local hotel will be used as a temporary hospital if needed.
I was just informed by my sister that Germany shuts down its borders and now I see Buri Ram shut down.
They don't tell us the truth. There must be many cases. Is anybody living there?
Missus has just had her car serviced and been to MAKRO. I went to Immigration and, as the IO there said (he is a bit of a wag) “Keep calm and go to KFC - it is business as usual in there”.
For Colinneil’s benefit, I am assured by a close friend that Mucky Street was still operational last week.

All joking apart, suspending 90 day reporting for 6 weeks would be a sensible message to send out - and help protect Immigration staff.- 4

I just changed my plans with news of this, i was going to BR tomorrow morning for a wedding... I already thought it's a bad idea to have a wedding right now. Girlfriend insists on going but im staying home. At what point do these large gatherings become irresponsible?
The thai way of thinking, i told her they banned large gatherings she said it wont be more then 50 people, Even worse we got news just today her cousin is seriously ill and on life support and plan to take her off soon already called the daughter to come from bangkok... So it will probably be a wedding and a Funeral in one trip for her family.. which basically double's your risk... These type of things have people coming from all over the country sometimes.
You should perhaps mention that the cousins condition is not COVID-19 related.

and as i said 10 days ago there will be a stop to inter province travel.
Yinn had a heart attack saying that would never happen.
i hope there is no one left who thinks this is funny or going away soon.
i would seriously consider taking cash out of the ATM now, maybe two weeks worth for now and setting it aside.
I don’t agree with you, but I took out 50,000 Baht just in case.

The obvious answer is that 400,000 have been tested in the UK and how many now in Thailand? 6000?
Do you have a source for those numbers ?
Mine suggests less than 30,000 for the UK:-
United Kingdom 29,764 12 March 2020 Department of Health and Social Care and Public Health England 12 March, 9.00 local time Estimates are updated every day, often more than once per day https://ourworldindata.org/coronavirus-testing-source-data

He can rent from the family. It all depends on what his wife's will says. She can will the property to the family, with the stipulation he can stay there until he dies or leaves.
Whilst that is true, I would still feel vulnerable with the family having control.
Far better, IMO, is the usufruct. The rights continue after the death of the donor and achieve the 'lifetime use' objective.
I also arranged the usufruct route with Isaan Lawyers. My missus wants her nephew to benefit on her death but has not made a Will yet; like many Thais she does not understand the rules of intestacy.
