Abhisit was the leader of the largest opposition party at the time of his election as PM. He was elected by a majority of MPs.

Current government don;t want to work on that case,because they probably still try to convince the democrats to let thaksin come back.A goverment is elected by the people not by MPs,the democrats did not get a majority at elections last 12 yrs i think.If A has the majority of votes Then B can't say "we are the government"if it is like that,then why people should go to elections?

There seem to have been many "threats" over the last few years from both sides to have international organisations investigate extrajudicial killings, institute extradition proceedings, impose bars and sanctions. However that is all they ever seem to be, "threats" that are never carried through or perhaps even thought through.

Also, Thailand positions itself carefully in terms of foreign relations, always comprising sufficiently so it never makes as powerful an enemy as China, NATO, The Muslim World, etc. By doing this, it dramatically reduces the chance of international intervention of this sort.

Grammy, 3,5 and 7 didn't do their homework well enough and even though they are trying to portray True as the baddies, True will win in the end. All Grammy has to do is switch on the signal and everything goes away. Someone is breaching an existing contract here and it isn't True, and attempting to say that a company HAS to pay for something, when there is a contract already concerning programming on that channel, is hardly legally enforceable. True can simply say, we are here, turn on the signal as it was just before kick off and the masses can have their opium. Or shall we have a whip round and go off and bid for the rights to the World Cup next time round, and extort some cash out of True?

Channel 3,5 & 7 do not have "sat signals" to encrypt. They are free over the air channels. Grammy is denying True access to these free channels unless they pay for them.

It seems that if Grammy has made an agreement for games to be shown on Free TV, then there is no reason to deny True visions customers as it is already on Free TV.

In Germany if a pay tv station buys rights for Bundesliga or Euro they must guarantee a minimum of view time for non subscribers,and on top games of german national team are free to watch for everybody,but difference between Germany and Thailand is,Germany has clear rules and laws.

Thats exactly what i thought, i managed to find through Thai visa that the password was 0000 found out how to change the language to english,got the channels working ok except the 11 premium channels which i thought were free for 1-3 months, found the 16 digit refence number phoned grammy-finally got through 4 hours latter entered 16 digit number and waited and waited-(nothing happened) phoned again the next day,got through after 6 hours!!! entered 16 digit number-20 minutes later,tv platform starts loading and when finished message says the 11 channels are prepaid channels-ie-not viewable....so phone true and ask at many shops how can i pay for these channels???? Answer-nobody knows and as grammy doesnt have operaters to take your call you cant ask them..admittedly i do have thai tv to watch the Euros but was under the illusion i would get English commentary....Think me and other falangs have been lead on a wild goose chase..i will watch the games free now in engish commentary on Paddy Powers site on my laptop, the last few days have been a mare!!!!!

I think True have simply played GMM, knowing full well that GMM had no platform (channel) to show the content on that True don't already have the right to broadcast.

In other words True knew that if GMM were going to bid, there was no point in True going in with them. UEFA won't care, they've been paid already by GMM.

Had GMM actually had their own channel to show the Euros on, there wouldn't be an issue and True would have had no right to dispute it (and I expect would have put in their own bid). As it is GMM have leased channels to air the Euros, but these are channels that True provides it's customers as a free service...

They are the free to air Thai terrestrial channels, so equally GMM have no right to prevent people watching them via standard terrestrial TV antennae. It just seems to be fairly naive business from GMM and shrewd dealings by True... although I'm sure GMM will make plenty from advertising anyway and reach a wider audience if the content does air on Truevisions.

GMM told me they will show the euro on channel 0[Zero] on their z-box,and if u have an antenna u can watch the euro on normal thai stations,but not via sat dish without z-box,I remember I wanted to see the champions league final on C-Band dish but could not,so for the time of the game my tv was black,but neighbor with simple antenna could watch the game
