Highly recommend the Apple service center on the second floor of KSK. My mouse failed and they agreed to replace it telling me that they would order one from Singapore and it would take 10 days. Walking downstairs past their retail store I saw 6 mice just like mine on the counter for sale. Yeh, they have it together there.
thanks, but have used the apple service centre before for a problem with my mac/upgrade, got it back only to have it lock up crash and need a new motherboard in the space of a week. then when i took it back to complain they said they didnt do it, but they would happily sell me a new computer.. f*cking idiots.
anyway, not to worry about the phone, just went to GSK and got it replaced for 400 THB in a hour. lets hope the tech didnt go to the same school as the first.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to go to get my home button replaced on my iPhone 4 in CNX, preferably someone that has had this procedure done to their phone.
Many thanks

It's on SRidonchai Road opposite to suriwong book, available only on working day from 8-3.30 PM. You will be given a yellow book certificate then. As you might know you need to allow 10 days after shot for certificate to be valid. Oh there is no website, there is on number only speak thai so just show up during their hours. This vaccination is a strictly control one so only authorized government centers carry the vaccine.
Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect Thailand
Lovely, cheers for the extra info.
As long as its internationally accredited sounds like a winner. Any idea of cost for the pleasure?

Yellow Fever vaccine is given at a government center. The others can be had at RAM or other hospitals.
Here's a previous thread on yellow fever vaccine: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/622318-yellow-fever-immunisation/
cheers for that, I have found it on google maps, but any idea of contact details at all/website?
if my Thai reading serves me correctly its part of the Nakorn Ping Hospital?

you really think that the general Thai populace actually think any different to her? After being here for a long time, it is blatantly obvious that we are not welcome here, we are tolerated because we pay, we are just as unwelcome as foreigners are in our home countries... You will meet individuals that dont fit the mould certainly, but to Thais as a "collective" we are not welcome but our money is, perpetual paying guests, that is all we are and all we will ever be.
The sooner you accept that fact the better.

i know that there is a limit to the amount of currency that you can take out the country without "notifying" customs on your way out.
just wondering if anyone has had any experience with taking gold bars out of the country via the airport?
any problem with it in the hand luggage, scanner machines?
do customs treat gold bars like a currency even though it is a commodity and have to notify them?
any limit to the amount you can take out without them trying to get some tax out of you, even though gold isnt a VATable item?

Looked at them last evening. Samsung Galaxy tab 2 10.1 Third floor Airport Plaza. Nearly 19,000 baht. Only a 32gb micro sd card will work in it. Best part is the speakers are in the front not behind.
I think its the Galaxy note 10.1 I am after as opposed the 10.1 tab 2, should have had the added stylus? The tab 2 is a different model I believe. Although the price is similar to what I have seen online with dtac.

It has expandable storage through an SD card right? With that in mind (can swap in a 64Gb card), do you still need the larger internal storage?
Apparently yes expandable, although from what I have read only 32GB, reports of 64 not working. I thought the same, but would still like an initial storage bigger than 16, it soon ran out on previous portabel devices I had!

I know DTAC are selling the 16GB 3G/Wifi Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in Chiang mai, but what about the 32 or 64 GB version. 3G AND wifi needed. Any suggestions as to where to buy these particular models.

Cheers for the reply CMSteve, is that sold in very small bunches for very many bahts? Try to avoid rimping like the plague if possible.
Any more ideas if this is available at any fresh food and veg markets?

Genovese Basil...
-
not the thai holy basil (bai grapao) or the anise basil (bai horapaa) but the italian/farang style basil?
-
Just wondering if there was an update to this, if these are being sold in town here? If not Greenside is your party still selling them and accessories? If So shall PM you.

butter, marmite, cheddar cheese (or even a blue) on top back then under the grill. was going to make some crumpets today myself, might try these instead.

Anywhere in Thailand that sells these protectors? I have seen on ebay from overseas, but want to try to source locally ideally.

your not looking very hard are you ?
Been to the bike market on Sundays ?
where are the bike sunday markets?

+1 for jungle flight instead of the gibbon
very helpful, courteous staff, great day out, as mentioned above small walks between some stages, but they accommodate people of all levels, and you have time to catch up with the others whilst they are waiting to go down the zips. safety seems to be of high importance to them, hope they keep it up.
