    Hello SpokaneAl

The facts in my first post are self explanatory

They were aimed at citizens of the USA who were not conversant with these facts

An american friend of mine did not know but he does now

All he was trying to do was use his dual passport when exiting the USA to get a visa exempt entry instead of buying a visa on his USA passport

I simply picked on your post to quote because you said quite clearly that your wife entered and exited the USA on her USA passport

Then she did the same with Thailand with her Thai passport

Absolutely nothing aimed at you personally

I hope this makes it clear

    What's a 'dual passport'?

  2. the reality is that is represents a serious problem in the Thai medical industry that is equally likely t affect expats and visitors if they ever have the misfortune to need medical help whilst in the kingdom..

It also represents the same mindless greed that fuels the Ponzi schemes you read about regularly. You get what you pay for; too good to be true and all that.

Sorry, but that's just racist tripe; the fact is that all medical practices need to be regulated by governments - trying to blanket blame victims is just ignorant in the extreme

"Thai" is not a race, so how can it be racist?

  3. A URL link below from the RTP website should help.

    http://www.a-plusservice.com/1448124/1service-to-obtain-the-police-clearance-certificate-for-non-thai-applicant-residing-abroad

Why do you need three police clearance certificates from Thailand if only sponsoring wife's daughter?

Thanks for the links. One for wife (sponsor), one for me (sponsor's partner, lived in Thailand for longer than 12 months within the last 10 years), one for daughter (applicant over 16 years of age).

  4. Is anyone able to advise me on the most efficient way to obtain Police Clearance Certificates from Thailand for 3 family members (including me)?

My wife (Thai citizen, Australian PR, living in Australia with me) is beginning the process of lodging an application for Child Visa (Subclass 101) on behalf of her daughter (Thai citizen, 17 years of age, living in Thailand).

I've encountered contradictory advice thus far and am hoping someone can clarify the process for me.

    Thank you

  5. The "need" to over-take.

    Why ?

    The "need" is always there.

    Why ?

    Late ?

    Late for what ?

One of the safety jingle many years ago in Australia was something like "Better to be late and safe than arrive dead on time"

It something that has stuck in my mind and always pops up when ever I am driving and behind "schedule".

I always found that funny because "being late" is a euphemism for being dead, and thought it would be a good slogan for a funeral parlour.

  6. "after falling out of a taxi outside his Bangkok hotel"

    and

"Im not sure what it was, but I slipped on something on the ground and fell on the footpath, but Im OK, Meldrum reassured his well-wishers"

So what is it exactly, I personally find the second a tad more likely than the first.

How does one fall out of a taxi ?

"How does one fall out of a taxi?"

There is no answer to that question, but it happens to someone, somewhere many times a day.

    Gravity
