they just killed 2 of my dogs
Well, i have cameras all around my house and yard. If you do not know where your dog is then it seems you are letting the dog run around free in the neighborhood in which case perhaps the dogs need to be poisoned to stop them killing livestock or harassing people. Otherwise a camera could catch the person poisoning them and make charges against them.

Drunk tourist clashes with Phuket bikers over massage ride
Of course it is not sufficient. It was with a foreigner which means automatically larger amounts paid out. Netizens would say the same. If it was a Thai man doing it. They would have settled for a thousand and been happy. One has to wonder if everything being said is true. A foreigner doing something like this for no reason makes you wonder.

they just killed 2 of my dogs
I'm sorry for your loss. If true then go to the agency for animal cruelty and they will get the police to act if you have evidence. On another note. I have a 45kg Doberman that is outside always at my home. Everyone around is terrified of him due to the size and breed. Delivery drivers are the most scared. He is a great watchdog but he has gotten loose sometimes and when outside the gate he is passive and friendly to anyone. He only barks when someone is near to entering my home. His domain. But my dog is behind a fence. Perhaps the neighbor was terrified simply because your dogs were making him this way. Showing angry barking and making that they would attack if they have a chance. It is sad you lost your dogs. Sounds like they were not trained and had a way that made him fearful.. Only you would know this for sure. If you want action done I would suggest you go to that agency that protects animal rights. They are about the only ones who can make the police do something.

The New Covid Pandemic is starting
I read today in MSNBC that there is a new worry. They say that there is a new virus in China spreading like wildfire but not being reported by the news or to the world. The WHO is warning the world to refrain from accepting travel from China. They claim that currently a virus called HMPV is getting everyone sick and filling the hospitals and morgues https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/other/who-declares-new-covid-outbreak-in-china-global-health-emergency/ar-AA1wYAMZ?ocid=nl_article_link The World Health Organization, WHO, has declared the outbreak of a new coronavirus in China, a global health emergency. Has anyone heard anything about this new virus? My friend in China says that he is seeing more people wearing masks now and that the hospitals are full. He said he got sick by something last month and was sick with Covid-like symptoms for a month before recovering. i am also seeing this same story in many countries news services. Being Thailand will most likely keep it secretive to avoid stopping the Chinese from entering. I thought to tell the lot of you so at least can make some preparations to avoid people or take your own steps so you do not catch this new virus.

Authorities Raid Chinese-Focused Pattaya Nightclub After Violent Incident
The chinese ones with the drugs in their urine. Will face serious actions upon their arrival home. China does not take lightly to their people using drugs and even test them upon arrival from other countries for it in their systems. These Chinese will probably face arrests and/or travel bans for the rest of their lives. not just overseas travel bans either. But local travel bans as well.

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
Although this is what the doctor said... and showed me. There re many beetle species. This name may or may not be the one that got me.

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
Articerodes thailandicus is a rove beetle discovered in Thailand in 2008.[1] It was named for Thailand, where it was first discovered.[1] It is closely related to Articerodes jariyae and Articerodes ohmomoi, discovered during the same study. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Articerodes_thailandicus#:~:text=Articerodes thailandicus is a rove, discovered during the same study.

Well... Given it was first discovered in Thailand. And even has Thailand in the name. Perhaps can trust Thai doctor for this instance. Haha....Normally though, I do not.

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
Gosh, I hope it does not take so long to heal... It really hurts a lot and looks horrible. Let alone being unable to wear pants for fear that the white skin will be pulled off before It can scab... Doctor said 3 or 4 days to heal but everyone who has had experience with this says a month or month to heal

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
He only gave me a cream to apply to it. Unsure what is in it. It is not labelled with any English. And it needs to be refrigerated.

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
It actually spread by contact to the 2nd place when bending the leg sitting or in prone position..

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
This is the damage it has done to my leg... I would think the doctor knew because it matches other cases he has treated.

Bomb Explodes at Traffic Checkpoint Outside School in Pattani, Injuring Six Officers
The VDO shows a little smoke.. No big bmb for sure. Perhaps a small paper sack with some small amount of explosive. Too bad for the 6 police injured. Although, I am sure they will be ok. Yala is like the wild west. Anyone is a target if there is an opportunity. How many years now has the Thai gov been fighting there and never seeing any progress? Year after year the same old fighting.

Couple's Beachfront Frolic in Pattaya Sparks Outrage Online
supposedly they passed a law about this. But it appears to only apply to Thais. Posting any images or videos of foreigners without expressed consent is a free-for-all and apparently the law does not apply to them. Most likely that law was forgotten by the police until such time someone reminds the BIB with an envelope to pursue the poster.

Couple's Beachfront Frolic in Pattaya Sparks Outrage Online
On the Thaiger site. It clearly states this couple was engaged in having sex there. So my post is irrelevant.

Couple's Beachfront Frolic in Pattaya Sparks Outrage Online
The photo does not show much. But it does not appear they were having sex there. Intimate acts like holding her and kissing her? Thais need to stop with their nitpicking about public indecency. They are using it vaguely to insult any foreigner they can by posting it online when usually it was harmless. Couples touch each other... Get over it. Couples kiss and are playful with each other physically... Get over it. Unless they were having sex there standing on the beach, they did nothing wrong. Just because Thai culture thinks holding hands is an act of indecency and should not be done, does not make it so for foreigners. Making laws for certain types of behavior will only undermine the tourism as well as restricting couples showing affection. If i want to make out with the wife or mistress there on the beach, I do not see a problem as long as it is not showing body parts and is not sex.

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
The Dermatologist seemed to know immediately what was the cause based on the injury site. Showed me pictures of them that matched mine. I am trying a cream he gave to prevent infections. He said it gets bad for 3 days then will begin to heal. If i do not see improvement i will of course see another type of doctor. But what the Dermatologist said makes sense. This bug has acid on its skin that causes these burns. It has no need to bite. Just touching you is enough. Everything I read about it seems consistent with what is happening and what the doctor said.

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
no.. it is only on one leg... the bend in the leg allowed the one part to touch another part of my leg and it also got burned

Be careful during the rainy season for this reason
My new years eve was spent with my Thai family. It was relaxing. On New Years day I noticed a small red area behind the knee at the joint. I thought maybe i had gotten bitten by a sand flea that has happened to me many times before at the southern beaches. A day later the red rash double in size and spread to another of my leg behind the knee. 2 days later, then skin begin blistery and it appears there is a big part of the skin that is dead on both places. I did not see any particular sign of a bite mark consistent with this type of reaction. Today is the 3rd day. The pain is incredible now. I finally went to a skin doctor to see what was happening. The doctor said I had not been bitten by anything. But instead this tiny bug must had crawled across my leg at the afflicted area. The ROVO Beetle seems to be common in Thailand although after more than 13 years here I have never seen or heard about it. Apparently, the skin if this beetle is toxic acid. ove beetles are small, segmented insects with black heads and tails and orange abdomens. They are poisonous and can cause a rash or blisters on the skin if their venom comes into contact with it. The venom is acidic and irritating, and is known as Pederin. Symptoms can include: Fever, Nausea and vomiting, and Blindness if the venom gets into the eyes. So be warned and be careful. This thing can be attracted to light and is so tiny unlike a normal beetle. If you develop any symptims like I described, seek medical attention right away. The longer you wait the worse can happen to the afflicted area. Infections are common if you do not treat it.

FBI Uncovers Largest Explosive Cache in its History on Virginia Farm
Wow really? You use MAGA to support your theory? Yet, This has been happening with Biden at the helm. Amazing how you put your anti-trump into everything you read. How about looking at the facts of the story instead? The man had been collecting and making weapons all through Biden admin. Putting stuff up that was anti-Biden/Harris. That does not make him a MAGA supporter. It just makes him one of those men who saw the current admin for what it really was, a farce with a demented old man running the show and a twit who could not say anything political without a snicker as his sidekick.

Inexpensive clinic for sleep disorders in Pattaya
Siriraj let me rent a CPAP machine to test them.. I rented 4 different ones for up to a month for all of them... cost was like 50 baht a day... Unfortunately for me the CPAP could not push the air past the blockage so none of them worked. My mom uses a CPAP and swears by it. Claims once she began using it her sleep apnea disappeared. Siriraj ear, nose and throat clinic would be the ones you should talk to. They would most likely accept the test you had as well. They accepted mine from another hospital.
