When are we going to get a
''Dislike this'' button?
There are various posts I'd like to use it on, I'm sure others will agree.

But, but, but doesn't everyone have the same problem when hurridly exiting the Bentley?
Now which box has the chicken curry pasties in?

'Ties are not required' obviously has a serious humour failure.
PS - I've never been banned in 12 years. A name (not acronym) change was due to computer error (spam).

They want a coup. Its very clear to,me. By giving a thumbs down to,the court they are inviting the army to,remove them.
That is the ONLY WAY they will be able to distance themselves from, the rice fiasco and financial tsunami about to implode upon them.
This way they can, point fingers at everyone else.

The army won't coup now...
So they won't get what they want.... What they really want is to spark a civil war and are pushing the buttons to stoke a retaliation just so that it riles up the red shirts even more.
They seem to be attempting to produce as many so called 'court injustices' as they can just to turn the screws and bait the thugs into all out violence against the courts.
The PTP would love nothing better than to see the terrorists storm the courts and the NACC and string up all the officials.
That is how that sort of people do their dealings.
Now, now. Steady on lad.
It's a normal Thai soap opera.
You've had some crying and screaming, bombs thrown and people shot.
Only trouble is there was real blood and guts.
Luckily now most of the baddies have been kicked out of the play so we await the turn of the 'goodies' to get the baddies to pay for their outrageous misdemeanours and atrocities!
This doesn't normally happen in Thai soaps though so the next scene will be the good guy, without a hair out of place, checking the numbers with the fortune teller and realises 999 is the right time to win the battle.

The Finance ministry, should first identify the police partners in loan sharks mafia.
Well said. It is not the few that advertise on FB etc but the vast majority that operate at the local level with the cooperation of the Police that are the problem.
Does this mean I might not see the two men who operate in my area on a m/cycle and wearing helmets with the darkest of visors again.?
Seem like such decent lads.
They get around a bit don't they - just saw them drive past here!

"Look at South Korea. Their leader resigns just because a ship sank."
Well I've read some dumb ass, insensitive comments on here but I think Khun Wirat takes the biscuit with this one. Of course a sense of honour is an alien concept to most
Thai politicians so perhaps I shouldn't be so surprised.
I agree.. I think this guy is a democrat.. what an idiot .. i support them but what an idiot.
Seconded with both sentiments.
Very tactless.

It's been posted probably over a thousand times but what does he mean by ELECTION COLLECTION ?? The EC?
I must be missing something extremely obvious as it's been posted ad infinitum.

Why am I not surprised ... I actually know of someone who gets his extension based on retirement (money in the bank) extended each year for about 20,000Baht ... he doesn't have the 800,000 Baht ... says it cheaper than a flight back to the UK! I don't think that I will see much change in this area in the not-too immediate future!!!!!!!!!!
20, 000 baht! It's 12 grand round our way ... Someone is being well ripped off.
How much do the money lenders charge for 800k for 2 months?
Should be about 16-20k.
12k is a good price.
Well, an agent only needs 1 lot of 800,000 baht. If he has more he can serve more clients per day. He puts in into the a/c of client number 1, nips to Immi with the passport and bank book, gets the visa, withdraws the 800k and goes on to client number 2.
Of course, he may just bung the Immi officer to 'see' a non-existent bank book ...
And/ or bank managers also on the take supplying letters 'confirming 800k has been seasoned'

No form was used, the amphur asked my wife to affirm I lived at the same address as her tabien baan.
He typed it out, my wife signed it and he officially stamped it.
I am in amphur meung NS and so is the amphur and DLT. Not sure if shopping around will work but it's worth a try to avoid going to the thieving British embassy who I think will charge 2500. Assuming you are a Brit of course :-)
Yes, it was the Great British Rip Off I was trying to avoid!
Do you mind me asking was you staying at her tabien baan address, the wife's t/b is at her mum's house & we're in a town-house rental in a neighbouring town.
I could check if our amphur would validate an address by rental agreement & call Meung DLT if they'd accept an outside amphur, hopefully get their soon! )
Yes we live at the address on my wife's T/B.
I'm sure you can have your rental agreement validated at the amphur.
Good luck.

I don't think 50 deaths can be described as "scores dead". Scores dead sounds like the black plague.
Two and a half score of people dead is 'scores dead'.

The girl I asked at Nakhon Sawan immigration told me her 'new' boss doesn't let her give the residence letter any more. I went to the amphur in Nakhon Sawan with my wife and they supplied me/her with a letter which was accepted at the driving centre for my 2nd 5 year licence.
Very interesting, thanks. Do you know what form they used, do you live in NS amphur?
NS Imm confirmed again today to my wife no residence letters and my DLT centre in my amphur (Ban Rai, Uthai Thani) just said they will only accept Embassy letter as the alternative (no ampjur/police confirmation).
I reckon the time & costs will be about 10k just for Embassy to look at the same rental agreement any local govt institute could!
Can I shop around DLTs/amphurs in the same province or does it have to be your local amphur per address?
Thanks.

Apologies to Lerm baby

Next time travel with a jet set monk he seems to have no such problems. At least not in Europe, the US Laos or Cambodia.
Yes I've not heard any reports about him for months.
What happened to him and his ill-gotten gains?

I went there last year also.
I hope it will be as easy when I go next at the end of April.

Still a couple of years to go but is it best to keep a UK address as 'home' rather than here?
