indeed, it was programmed in and is now happening; sadly, thailand may only be capable of military authoritarian governance

Not sure if this topic is still open but I wonder it jirapawat military hospital is still offering knee replacement surgery as I need one and live in Nakhon Sawan. I’m 68 and have osteoarthritis and my knee splays.
i have AIA insurance but won’t cover 82000 baht, at least if will cover a third though so insurance is worthwhile and necessary.
How is your knee after 9 years?

I'm assuming those who want to transfer their UK pension to Thailand from their own bank is because they want to retain a UK address. Otherwise the UK pension office can transfer the money directly to your Thai account which will show up as an international transfer.
Conversely my state pension, paid directly to my account, shows as Bahtnet (BTN) in my Bangkok bank account whereas when I send my private pensions via TW they show as FTT (foreign transfer).
DWP sent me a letter stating they send my pension directly into my Thai bank every 28 days. I hope immigration accepts it.

Not according to the original, linked news item in the OP.
"Police are waiting for doctors to give the driver the ‘all clear’ so they can question him about the incident and will bring charges against him."
Maybe there's a linkable update to confirm his demise?
It was stated on television but as it was channel 3 it probably was misreported

I’m using monthly amount of 40000 averaged over 12 months (480000) and send as and when necessary via TW although my state pension goes directly into my Thai bank

And Transferwise shows as foreign transfer. In bkk bank anyway

For an extension based on marriage it’s an ‘average’ of 40000/month from abroad going into your Thai bank so you don’t have to have 40000 coming in EVERY month.
I have a biannual private pension.

The Philippines requires an initial bank deposit of US $10,000 and it can be used as a deposit to purchase a property. The added bonus is that there are no greedy Thais and the Filipinos generally speak good English.
Plus U.K. pensions get an annual increase.
Looking more attractive after the latest immigration news

I was going to use combination method with proof of pensions, bank entries in bank book and bank statements plus the difference of about 390,000 transferred to my account 3 months prior to extension and transfer it out after extension is granted, is this not possible now Jo?

My U.K. pension goes directly into my BKK bank and sometimes the code is FTT but other times it is BTN. The same when I use Transferwise or Xendpay.
I will be using combination method (transferring the difference of income to 800k from another Thai bank for 3 months then back) will the bank letter accept the 2 different codes as they are both from U.K.?

I get that voyeurism is a thing, but I don't get upskirting. A poorly lit view of underwear is hardly interesting. In Thailand you are more likely to only see bicycle shorts and would have to imagine there is underwear underneath it. Must be some psychological thing.
