Lol! "Good" American! Most Americans are ok but this idiot is certainly not one of them. Yeah he should sue. It's not fair he's getting all this abuse because it isn't his fault he was born a wretched a person.

Singapore has always been a haven for rich fugitives.

What rubbish.
Gets a suspended sentence in 2015, commits another crime and doesn't get jail time? Did she commit the second offence after the 2015 ended or while still in effect?
Stupid cow. If she gets into a third drink driving offence, I hope the only people she hurts or kills is herself.

So sad. Not only extorted by the corrupt locals but also by fellow refugees.
-
Not a big fan of the police here but going to a police station drunk and angry, what the hell did this idiot think would happen?
-
I don't know who the bigger <deleted> are. The idiot foreigners who are giving us a bad name or the useless and lazy ass police. So sickening.

I like Mcgregor but it's going to be hard for him to beat Mayweather without using any of his MMA moves.

What a bloody moron. Bitches like her shouldn't be allowed to breed. Her child should be taken away from her.
Why wouldn't her husband pick up her call? Well she looks like a c@nt and probably behaves like you! And blaming her son for crying when she's tugging the boy's neck? REALLY?! She really should have done what she was thinking and just killed herself. Kid would be better off.

Thousand baht! Each!!!! That's like more than the usual 500 baht!!! This must be a serious offence!

This country isn't perfect but for the price, it is still one of the better places to travel to. There are worse places. Or you could pay through your nose for a nicer beach to holiday.
On another note, it's expected that many of our fellow expats here in Thaivisa would whine about this award. I mean it's hypocritical to move here and stay here for years while bitching about the country you CHOSE to stay in. I mean sure things aren't perfect but if it were really that bad as a lot of whiners here claim it to be, we wouldn't be staying here would we?

Haha imagine if you're related to this idiot and now his face is plastered all over the internet with the panties in his hands. Oh the shame!
-
Sigh...national embarrassment. Please Thai tourists, don't be like the China ones. You're better than that!

Looks like a damn superhero threw that metal rod at her!
This is some scary stuff!

500 baht fine, a wai and move on, nothing here to see!

Erm? Exactly.....'If'...... Maybe wait for the other side of the story before finding the unconscious dood guilty? Just a thought......
Why don't you be a dear and also comment on all those on this thread who have already put the blame on the cabby without even knowing the facts? Just a thought....

I can only go on my own experiance and knowledge. Most Thais, not all, will not go against another Thai, in support of a Farang. Although I do know one who did? afterwards other Thais criticized him, asking bluntly "We are Thai people, why you help Farang, and not Thia person". As I say, not all Thais take that attitude, many just think, I'm keeping out of this. Same as many people in the west when they see(witness) a road traffic accident.
In other words, you have no facts on what happened either. Therefore, everyone here is just speculating. Which is what we do on a forum.

So your taking the Taxi drivers word as true.
Until a witness comes forward and says otherwise, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
Likewise, we have people on this thread putting the blame solely on the taxi driver when the facts aren't out yet. This is Thaivisa, there's seldom a middle ground.

So you are OK with just the taxi driver's version then. No need to check with the victim now in hospital how HE thinks this went down
.... brilliant deduction TVgerry. Glad I don't know you!
I'm glad for me too!

So you believe everything the taxi thug said? If he'd have stayed in the car, nothing would have happened.
All too keen for any excuse to fight imho.
Until there's a witness to what really happened, why not? I know I'd be pissed off too if someone hit my car, blocked it and grabbed me by my shirt.

the guy was crossing and nearly got run over and got angry about ti..........as I said above - this happens all the time on 2nd road.......it is dangerous because everyone wants to be where they are going regardless .................oh yes to save maybe 2mins at the most they are willing to run people down
Or drunk guy was acting like an idiot and hits the taxi and then blocks it because he's a drunk and a dumbass.
Or perhaps he really was nearly run over (could also be his fault because some pedestrians are morons) and decide to hit the taxi and block it. In which case, when you hit someone's car and prevent it from going off, what else do you think would happen when he steps out of his car? Grab a man's shirt by his collar, well what do you think happens?

Don't believe everything you read, try a vacation and get your system re-tuned.
I don't actually. But I've always notice the <deleted> here who are more than willing to give the foreigners the benefit of the doubt. You may be wrong, I may be wrong but in this case, the taxi driver could be in the right and the idiot who got beat down deserved it.
Perhaps you should take a vacation from this country. You need to spend some time away from the locals you probably despise.

Blaming gay people for HIV is so 80s. Which if you think about it is right for Thailand since this country seems 30 years or so behind everyone else.
