I see. Thank you. So in effect once I get the 1-year extension I will have a 60-day one sort of in my pocket, so to speak, in case I need it?
That's reassuring. We wouldn't expect any issues with getting the non O and the 1-year extension if not for the money cock-up, but I just didn't know I could be visa exempt on the 30 days as a tourist and rock up at CW and apply for the single entry non O there. That's cool.
We're in Talingchan, almost in Nonthaburi. Poipet is one I went to years ago and I recall it being extremely busy and a bit hectic. Much preferred Pong Nam Ron, but I'm open to any suggestions. Any decent non-Cambodia options? You can get 1 x 60 day 'visit Thai wife' extension each entry into Thailand excluding re-entry permit entries.

My passport will expire June 2025 so my plan is to either renew it on my next trip to the UK (May) or wait until after that trip & renew it when I get back.
Either way I’ll be renewing it before my next extension is due (Sept).
I would think for you if that's the way you are thinking would be to renew in UK, easier to do, cheaper and easier to sort out any potential problems.
another way would be to obtain the next extension which will be issued for 10 months ( passport expiry date), then renew passport early 2025, before the new yearly renewal date in June, i am in the same boat as you, with a passport expiring in may 2025,( issued for longer than 10 years) with yearly extension renewal in early december. i am still thinking what to do, no trips out of the country planned.

do we have to have this tax return sh*t rammed down our throat every thread
op you would be better trying to get a multi entry tourist visa prior to traveling

Thai passport from MBK office takes about a week.
I think if the child leaves on the US passport it will not be a problem, except that you will have to pay (I think) 20K for the overstay.
children don't pay overstay fines

The OP is looking to convert his current visa status from Non O family to Non O retirement.
However not sure he will get away with that on first extension from the visa.
agents can work miracles

Based on ?
My understanding is that his first extension needs to be same as the visa he entered on. In op case marriage.
This comes up more commonly with someone doing first extension from a Non O-A and wanting to do the extension based on marriage.
he stated the agents could do it, see here ''I've already had a chat with Maneerat Travel in Soi 13, and they said yes they could do it''
i don't think its allowed, but the point i was making is that if the agent said it can be done, then it makes no difference if the permission to stay extends past the visa expiry date, which is what the op asked, see here '' So, if I were to apply for a retirement conversion from this Non-O during the 90 days after the visa itself has expired, would that be an obstacle to getting the retirement extension?''

Actually I think your post is very confusing! Even for a retirement visa you would need to show you have funds in a Thai bank. If by chance you did get another re-entry permit it would be valid for all of 2 days, up to the 28th when your Non-O visa expires.
If you are married why not just apply for a Non-O based on marriage you just need 400,000 in a Thai bank two months prior to applying for it.
Read this, from The Thai embassy website.
https://www.thaiembassy.com/thailand-visa/retirement-visa
he has a visa, so he can do a border bounce using the multi entry visa and get a new 90 day entry stamp, that takes him past the visa expiry date, nothing to do with a re-enty permit
op the entry that extends past the expiry date of the visa is as good as one that doesn't, so the agents could still obtain a 1 year extension
-
I believe if you Dial *500*9# will Add 30 days validity for 30 THB taken from balance
-
maybe you could obtain a 60 day visit Thai wife extension as close to your departure date as possible ( you have not said when this is) together with a re-entry permit which will cover you to 14th November as the 60 day extension will start from the 16th September.

The Tories and Sunak in particular have chosen of their own volition to promise to deliver the Rwanda policy in the face of consistent advice that it won’t work and will brake both UK law and international laws the IK is bound by.
It’s a mess of their own making.
They could have focussed on something the general public are concerned about, the NHS, the housing crisis, the economy, education ….. nah, they chose the Albatross and strung it around their own necks.
I think number 1 on the general publics mind is prices (electric, gas, council tax bills and food), immigration is a close 2nd

A friend of mine went through this in October. He is a US citizen and his wife is Thai. His son was born in Thailand. They have a US passport for him but needed a Thai passport to exit Thailand. A little over a year ago there was a thread discussing this.
how would that work for a child born in Thailand to a non Thai mom and dad, the child would only have a non Thai passport.

The immigration officers accept folk not presenting it as the requirement is so naively not known and MANY do not present it at passport control.
not saying you are wrong or right, but in 20 years of coming and going to Thailand i have never presented, or been asked for a boarding pass, to the best of my knowledge
I think there is more to this matter, than has been told

We get so many complaining they want longer Visa Exempt permissions when they visit Thailand, yet their own countries will not let Thais in without some tiresome visa requirement.
so it should be restrictive, Thailand need the income from the vast amount of arrivals. Europe as well as overs have problems keeping people out, therefore the UK and Europe need tough visa requirements for counties that will overstay and disappear.

No, that causes a much gentler noise. When I say screech I am not exaggerating - brakes only make that noise when the pads and warning strips are completely shot or thed caliper is falling off.
Trust me, I know about this stuff
come on, how often do brake calipers fall off, and if they fell off there would be no screeching noise

I don't know what 'run flat' tyres are, but your best deals (probably) would be from a tyre place, not a combined shop.
Decide what brand you want and go to a tyre place.
A reference would be to pick your brand and then visit Lazada. See what their price is and then negotiate with your tyre place.
'run flat' tyres are just that, tyres that can still be used when punctured, normally on more expensive cars

The UK Personal Allowance is roughly GBP 12,570 per year.
don't forget you can get 10% from the wife's/husbands allowance if they are not using the full amount, but they have to be registered and have the tax free allowance in the UK

You shouldnt make definitive statements like that, a lot depends on the office and type of extension. A friend of mine has been doing a 60 day on a non O for several years, he did it last week again with original KR2.
I did a 12 month a couple of weeks ago and got the KR2 about a week beforehand, not a problem.
my office rayong don't require an updated kor ror 2 for a 60 day wife extension. only for a yearly extension, i get it the same day, not sure of the rules, easy for me to do it, then into the bank for bank letter and update bank book then straight to IO, arrive 10ish out within an hour at the most
Three Young Teens Injured in Motorcycle-Truck Collision in Sri Racha

there appears to me to be a clear view to the lorry to stop in plenty of time if paying attention or not driving too fast, the opening post says ''the motorcycle, driven by a 14-year-old boy, lost control at a curve and collided with the truck'' so maybe a bend prevented the lorry driver seeing anything coming when he started the turn. as to the bike, he should have been driving at a speed where it is safe to stop in the distance that you can see to be clear
