  1. thousands ? i thought it was six million + ?

    what a letdown sad.png

It used to be six million, but has grown to a few thousand since then.

Dear leader Suthep said more and more people are joining every day. Will soon be a few dozen.

    cheesy.gif

Yes, well the govt made a big mistake by treating them with kid gloves the day they occupied the ministries. Handing them bottles of water and opening the gates...when they deserved some firm baton strikes to the groin

Here is what Suthep himself said while he was Vice-PM, during the red shirt protests in 2010:

"But if they violate the laws, such as blocking roads and intruding into government offices, we will have to disperse the protesters,"

    - Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban (March 13, 2010)

According to that, it seems to be that Suthep himself would support his PDRC protests being dispersed, no?

  2. He also said voters had rejected the election, with 15 million refusing to vote, 3.4 million lodging "No vote" ballots and 2.4 million lodging invalid ballots.

They did not refuse to vote. There were MILLIONS of people prevented from voting by the PDRC / Democrats.

The "No Vote" votes don't mean that these people support the Democrats. We simply don't know because the "kids party" refused to participate in the elections.

And the "invalid ballots" ...well, if you don't know how to make an X.

  3. I am sure any Thai with no assets like Suthep could go to the bank and borrow 200 million Baht for unspecified reasons.

Either he would need to know the bank director and give him some money, or he has assets that are undeclared and the bank director knows about.

Oh wait, but then that would be corruption, wouldn't it?

Jack. Do you know Suthep's bank manager?

otherwise how do you know it was for an "unspecified reason"?

Maybe he bought one or two of Chalerms car's. Now there is an asset declaration worthy of an investigation.

Nice move. Instead of facing the facts, deflect the issue. Just like Abhisit and the Democrats.

The point here is that nobody can borrow 200 million Baht without backing it up with assets. The bank doesn't just give out 200 million without knowing that you can ever pay it back.

And with Suthep having declared only debts, not assets, how can he borrow an additional 200 million?

  4. "However, he admitted that payments for November through January are still outstanding. Based on the information, the ministry is only two months behind in its payments, not four as claimed."

    NOVEMBER

    DECEMBER

    JANUARY

    = 3 MONTHS, right?

Maybe I could lend him my hand for counting on, mind you I would need to check I still had 4 fingers and a thumb after he had finished!

January is due by the end of February.

Maybe I am counting wrong but on my calendar it's not the end of February yet.

The only poster on the thread that continues to blindly believe all the lies.

    What does that tell you?

Good luck the next time you need to tie your shoe laces.

It's not a lie, it's a fact. Please stop trolling if you don't know how payments are made.

  5. Yingluck is not protecting her to her position for the sake of being in power, she is protecting the rule of law, the constitution, democracy and the will of the electorate against a cowardly and bullying opponent.

Thats why she has the support of the vast majority of Thai people and full international support. In the face of this crisis, she has shown more maturity and responsibility than the last 10 prime ministers combined.

You are so far from reality I shudder to think how the world actually appears to you. This government exists for one reason only, and that is to funnel money to the king of Dubai. Already Yingluck has managed to sneak out 30 billion baht of the Thai peoples money to her elder brother Thaksin, and the only reason for her wanting to go on is to get three times more.. there is no noble cause here just theft from the pockets of everyday Thai people!

Dubai doesn't have a King, it has an Emir who is also the Prime Minister:

  7. Why on earth would she stand down...? To set the worst possible precedent ever...? To sanction blatant insurrection...? If she abandons the fragile Democracy which still actually keeps this place going.. it would be the worst thing possible...

An excellent post that puts this whole saga into perspective. The pros and cons of the PTP or the Democrats as rulers do not matter. What matters is preserving the democratic system because once that is lost it could take decades to regain it.

The farang posters in this thread and many others who blindly cheer the abolition of democracy in Thailand have hardly any good arguments to justify the judicial coup in the making - instead they rely on soundbites, a few old quips about corruption and endless tirades of name-calling. All in all their arguments are totally devoid of any intellectual or rational content. And the international media has seen right through that which is why if you want a non-biased view of what is happening in Thailand you need to read foreign media.

The farangs who live in Thailand and cheer on the return of an aristocratic/oligarchic rule to the country do so because they think they are somehow part of the elite that ought to run Thailand. They see themselves as some neo-colonial force on a par with the Thai-Chinese elite. Sadly, the Thai-Chinese elite do not quite see their farang allies like that but are happy to let the farangs stay ignorant about that. The Thai-Chinese know that the pitiful farangs ready to dirty themselves by cheering on the destruction of democracy do so only because of petty self-interest - the farangs are scared that democracy in Thailand will mean an increase to their taxes, they are scared that the great mass of Thai people will increase their lot in life which will make life more expensive for your average expat farang.

Very well written post. Thank you for this contribution.

  8. What is the accusation trying to cause?

If 'well-wishers' donate to the 'keep suthep happy fund' why is the opposition concerned about what he used it for?

Don't supposed you keep track of the money you have donated in your lifetime... It's like giving to charities and demanding a monthly statement!!!

    somtam palah

Under Thai law, you are required to declare donations you received, the amount and who you received it from, unless you are a registered charity, which he is not.

Where is Suthep's bookkeeping on the donations? I haven't seen him writing down every single name of every single person who gives him 20 or 100 or 1,000 Baht.

He just grabs the money from their hands, smiles and walks to the next one.

  9. In Thai facebook, Suthep's son confirmed that he & friend bought it.

However he said that they already agreed to buy and paid a small deposit in June 2013.

They only recently transfer the land, in a second attempt; all payment in traceable cashier cheques, and not cash (apart for the tax).

1st time the land was closed by the protesters, and has to be postponed.

During the 2nd time, due to prior arrangement, the government office came to performance their duties, completed their transaction, and he paid all the tax.

He also post that there was no corruption used. All the money was his own, and his wife hard earn saving money.

Oh, the son wrote on his Facebook page that this is all legitimate? Ok, everyone should forget about it then, it must be true if it's on Facebook. Well done to them for being able to save 10'million usd from their hard work at such a young age
Yingluck writes on Facebook and it's fact. Sutheps son writes on Facebook and it's illegitimate ..... wow.

Also what's that about such a young age!! The son is late 30's.

Hard earned savings of 280 million Baht. What does this guy work again? He signed the contract in 2013 and only paid a small deposit. Daddy told him to wait until early 2014. When I get the money from the dumb street donors you can finalize the land deal.

  10. This is all so wrong it stinks of PTP desperation at the lowest level.

2 Billion baht in donations....... cheesy.gif .... you have got to be kidding.

Photoshop is a very clever tool nowadays, and if that is a land deal, on that piece of paper... then my mum is Ghandi.

I wonder what's next? Suthep is Spanish??

One would think that the newspaper went to the land office and confirmed the story before they ran it.

Everyone can see any land record at the land office, you just need to know the number of the lot and make a request.

  11. Busted. Fingers in the honey pot and stuck.

The anti corruption movement leader - corrupt himself? Oh no...

Busted by PT and their convicted spokesperson?? Jacky you are sooo funny.
What is the Puea Thai spokesperson convicted of?

    1. read articles before trolling.

    2. Do research before posting nonsense.

How am I trolling or posting nonsense? I only asked for a clarification because I wasn't aware of it.
