  1. Hey. Don't knock it.

She used the "very well English" that 99% of Thai girls use to achieve their ends.

    And she achieved her end.

Really, think back on it a little.

How many times have you heard one of these fillies just cobble together a non-stop string of idiom, slang and illogical gibberish till they get what they want ?

It matters little to them that they are making little sense.

The threat in the air is that THEY WILL NOT STOP TALKING and thus they will cause their opponent a loss of face.

In this case it worked because she'd managed to bluff the cop into thinking that a Thai woman who spoke English would be able to beat him at his authority game.

Sounds like the wife, wish she looked like that

  2. I'll be the one wearing a chang wife-beater, grubby shorts with 14 pockets, a fake gold chain, well used flip-flops, a pair of fake Oakley sunglasses atop my fake Billabong cap (worn backwards), and a 400B Rolex Submariner.

Not sure if I'll be easily recognised or not. rolleyes.gif

    That describes everyone

  3. An immigrant to me implies that you become a citizen with all the rights associated with it, something we cannot become without extreme difficulty. An immigrant to UK or us or Australia for example can qualify for a passport after a period of time.

I know that we could obtain Thai nationality, but not as easy

  4. Go easy on him.

Norwegian Viking Blood, combined with wantful lust of alcohol,

brings out the "Pillage and Plunder" Syndrome.

He was just being a good little Viking. Valhalla awaits

Vikings had a name for irrepressible violent behavior...."Berserker"

Berserkers were effectiively used as front line warriors against dreaded Saxons.

I still count Vikings as heroes, for eliminating many a saxon warrior in Britain.

The ATM, to him, probably looked like a Saxon soldier, withholding payment.

Although that behavior may be frowned upon in the land of Smiles.

    Skol Tommy Fahn....my viking soldier.

Have you watched season 2 yet ?

They mainly attacked monestries & easy targets until king Harald invaded York & got his ass kicked by king Harold in 1066, then Harold lost his eye at Hastings which started the French thing. The Danes got kicked out by King Alfred in 9 century, have to go back to my history books

  5. The British have always hated the arrogant French and take delight in thumping them. When I was much younger and living in England it was a common thing for the English Navy guys to arrange fights with the French when they were in port, not just fights but bloodbaths with knives and weapons.

Was that during the Napoleonic war ?

  6. Son the subject of BTS and Rabbits, I had a very pleasing experience after thinking it would be the worst nightmare. Jumped on at Phaya Thai, got to Sala Daeng only to find I had not one, but two rabbits and I didn't know which I had used. This would be first time in 6 months for both of them.

Of course I used the wrong one to get out, I gave security my best hansum man sheepish smile and she did something to my cards and let me out.

For those of you still awake, Bristol City are playing tonight, that will really put you to sleep, but I can't drop them

  7. The Green Emerald Buddha was taken from Laos. Until this day Thailand has not made it known to the public.

Hey you are right. Learn something every day.. Do you think Thailand will

    return it ?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_Buddha

"In 1779, the Thai General Chao Phraya Chakri put down an insurrection, captured Vientiane and looted the Emerald Buddha to Siam, taking it with him to Thonburi. "

Probably at about the same time as the UK returns Gibraltar to Spain or the US returns Guantanamo Bay to Cuba. whistling.gif

Not quite the same as about 95 % of Gibraltans want to remain British, so do you believe in democracy ?

  8. I don't like Yingluck, not because of herself, after all she is a not so bright, presentable lady, an ideal woman in my opinion, but for the damage she has caused to her country as a PM.

I don't think she will ever go to jail and I don't wish so, but this will be a good warning to all future politicians attempting to bribe the nation for their own benefit.

"she is a not so bright, presentable lady, an ideal woman in my opinion".

Finally Costas is admitting to be a misogynist and an illogical thinker at the same time.

Well done! I knew it was coming eventually.

    Brilliant!

Certainly a Looker, if she had played her cards right many years ago, she could have ended up with me
