Now this part really throws me for a loop. There are so many, so many mothers who have left their kids with their own parents to raise whilst they go off to another city to work. Why would the government only now be stepping in about an aging society raising young kids when they have allowed it and encouraged it for as long as i can remember. The real parents never raise the kids unless married with someone who can provide income and security to support a real family setting. Dumping their kids on the grandparents is and has been a common practice. Now, many adults are getting smarter and not making babies they can not afford to raise. But this also is creating a problem which will be evident in the next generation. Too many old people and no young new workers.

Yes.... i think so too. Not much of a choice though. People are forced to choose which one is the lesser of 2 evils. So although they have a choice. It is quite limited. i would love to see a year where the people choose NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Expecting different results? Noooo! The people who set this in motion got exactly what they wanted knowing full well the resulting outcome. They have done it numerous times. I can not think of one instance where a party was not dissolved after gaining so much support from the people yet losing the elections. There always seems to be a reason to dissolve them.

These Thai men in black shirts were supposedly lectured and trained recently by the Pattaya police about how they should never lay hands on a foreigner and if something requires this then they should call the police to intervene. We have the app and never look at the paper bill left at our door. It is too easy to fool someone with a fake bill using QR codes for payment. But the app will be what the PEA reads on the meter.

Bob, you should have googled what happens to asylum seekers coming to Thailand. Many are returned to their country to face jail or worse. Thailand rarely accepts people seeking asylum.

Rubber tubes always lose air. They lose less when driven daily. But if sitting and not driving around the air loss will be faster. You need to ask for the better tubes offered and make sure that is what you get. They leak air slower because of the thickness.

What makes you think the posters in this site are experts? Just this comment alone shows you think you are the expert for Thailand. Everyone has their own experiences and opinions and the readers can discern and make decisions about their own opinions or beliefs. I do not think anyone can make claim to be an expert on Thailand, not even Thais. This country changes its agena and rules at an instant without proper thought how it affects the future or the people. They try things and then go back on them when it shows conflict or something drastic happens making Thais complain a lot. There is no set rules even when laws make set rules. They may get followed for a short time but then people do what they want instead.

I think Trump has a point about his request to use another news station to host a debate. ABC is of course very biased left-wing. He already did a debate on their channel. So he should be allowed to choose where his next debate is going to be in all fairness. What is Harris afraid of on where to do the debate? She is only using this as a smear tactic for her party to use against Trump with no valid reason. Trump should be permitted to choose where he debates next.

Wishful thinking. Humans will never give up their creature comforts even if it destroys the planet. The governments will never allow alternative means of producing the electric demands as long as they profit from oil. Even this push for EV will find more opposition than acceptance but still will need coal and oil to sustain the demands for electric. For those who think all this is propaganda for global warming they simply need to look at temperatures, basic sea life patterns, and the ice caps to know it is real. This OP is definitely political propaganda. His meeting with those other leaders is not one-sided unless the current government fails to do their part by meeting with them at other times. Seems someone in power is afraid the Move Forward party is making friends in other countries that have the same views. Maybe the current government does not like the idea of Democracy.

Haha.... It is not our place to say where or how you throw your money away. But you do of course realize you do not need this visa. Currently there is no visa requirements to stay for a very long time here. A year here can be done with only a one time travel outside of Thailand and i am sure there are agents willing to take only your passport out of the country and return with a new entry stamp and visa. Why would you need a visa to work and never do any work? There is a lot of risk in getting screwed over doing this. Either by the agent or by the immigration and work permit office. Do you not know that immigration checks workplaces with foreigners to ensure everyone has their documents accurate? They raid school and small businesses all the time for this.
