But in Thailand these license laws are rarely enforced. Checkpoints may catch one or 2. but usually they will fine them and release to drive home. In rural areas they drive 3 to 4 on one bike. I once saw 5 on a bike riding home from school and they were on the highway. The fact is. There is a cop at the entrance to every school and that same cop allows these kids to come and go on bikes knowing full well that they are too young to have permits to drive. Yet, nothing is ever done to stop them which due to their positions in the school entrance would be quite easy.
