  1. Yeah, I posted that when i read it online.. But have since been reading that it may not have been the secret service man who shot the killer writing it. It may be from an anonymous prankster. However, they have video of the SS man shooting the killer in the head. Clearly showing the SS man had this sniper in his sites for some time before actually taking him down. So it is plausible the SS are at fault here for not shooting him as soon as they him on the rooftop with a rifle.
  2. Jonathan Willis, the officer in the famous photo of the two snipers on the roof at Trump's rally, has informed the public that he had the assassin in his sights for at least 3 minutes, but the head of the Secret Service refused to give the order to take out the perpetrator. They prevented him from stopping the assassin before he took shots at President Trump and killed a spectator and wounded 2 others https://x.com/i/web/status/1812594071581409369 This was in X now.
  3. Pennsylvania voter records listed a Thomas Matthew Crooks with the same address and birth date as a registered Republican. But Crooks appeared to have made a $15 donation to a liberal political action committee on Inauguration Day 2021, according to Federal Election Commission records. So he gave up being a Republican. As for the AR15. That just shows you are a stout Democrat and are using this incident to try to make Republicans their fault for this to happen. Also, The gun was registered to the father legally and the shooter took it from his father without the father knowing.
  4. yeah... had marriage visa before so have all the documents they would ask for in English and Thai already. Then I changed to retirement visa for the ease to renew.. just now it seems best for me to change it back to marriage. Also, in near future I am considering opening a business and helping cook so marriage also allows me to do this. Retirement does not.
  5. I got a lot of Staph infections when i went there. So obviously there is something there hmmm
  6. So now, Trump is playing golf after the shooting. In photos it looks as there is a portion of his ear missing where the blood is coming from but I have not read anything about it in the news as of yet. I am curious why there is no news of possible links that Bidens campaign words did not aggravate or entice someone to become a shooter to put Trump in their bullseye?
  7. I am confused because in the past i had taken the train from Vientiane to Bangkok. Had that service stopped for awhile and this is new?
  8. i fail to see where is the scam? Thais do this every day in Pattaya driving or walking from place to place selling fake products to foreigners. They are annoying and obnoxious as well. If anything, these foreigners doing it are working without a work permit or work visa. But it does not seem to be a scam and the OP does not specify anything about fake products or foreigners threatened. I think some Thai saw these foreigners and got upset they were taking away business from them. Reporting it as a scam to get the police to take quicker action.
  9. Hehe... Who are they fooling? Violence is the only way they react to any kind of confrontation. As seen daily in the news. Usually it does not involve one on one altercations though. So it is safe to say that when violence occurs that many people are eager to jump into violent situations and contribute their share.
  10. Taken in full context.. did not have that meaning at all. AS it reads. Done talking about debate... So you can claim understanding it differently. However taken in context it is clear it could be construed as telling people to shoot Trump.. of course, being a Biden fan you will reach for it being innocent.. Trump fans will reach for it being criminal. Courts would take it literally. i think it could be used to convict Biden as an accomplice. By the way. I believe Biden was running ads this way also encouraging others to put a bullseye on Trump. Easily could be construed as enticing others to commit the crime. Normally something like this would not attract attention. But since someone actually did put a bullseye on Trump and tried to kill him. It should not be taken lightly.
  11. i believe there is a law for inciting someone and actually makes them an accomplice if someone acts out on being told what Biden said. Actually I can only imagine if the law goes after Biden now for this message given to the people. He is guilty and would be a criminal like his son. 2 convicts running for president. Biden supporters must be pulling their hairs out about now. Especially now they can not say it was staged. hmm.
  12. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cljy6yz1j6gt New reports from BBC. Biden encouraged and told the public to put a bullseye on Trump. He highlights recent reported comments by Joe Biden, before the shooting, about putting Trump "in the bullseye" I hope that Trump can find a way to press criminal charges on Biden for this comment that led to his assassination attempt.
  13. https://nymag.com/intelligencer/article/trump-rally-shooting-live-updates.html one bystander killed another in critical condition. Shooter killed by bullet to the head. witnesses saw him preparing to shoot and tried to warn authorities who he claims seemed unwilling to react. Biden hardliners claiming already it was set up. But a gunshot to the head narrowly missing the brain would never be setup unless Trump had a death wish. I am sure the Dems will do their best now to try to say it was staged. However, circumstances show otherwise. I wonder how this will affect the voting polls?
  14. Sorry for my stupidity, but is ringing doorbells actually illegal here that they can apprehend you for it?
  15. Although your reply is correct. Ultimately, the foreigner is wrong simply because he is a foreigner.
  16. This is the time of year women like the most. They can make all the allegations they want to and the men must pay or prove innocence. Either way, if it goes public it become scandal and hurts their chances to be elected. On the other hand, this is a great tactic to get yourself a win of you can find someone willing to come forward with this type of allegation against your opponent. Truth and fact are irrelevant as the damage to their credentials becomes obvious. Who is to say there is reality when a woman makes such a claim during an election year? As someone else pointed out. If it happened many years ago, why wait until the election year to make such claims? It is done for monetary or political reasons only. They should make the laws to have a statute of limitations on how long they have to make such allegations.
  17. Now that Covid has passed. Prices doubled and women do not want to give the GF experience like they did before. Short time women want a couple thousand baht. Overnight women want up towards 5000 baht or more. Plus the expense for buying their drinks and necessities. Either way a night out and getting laid has become too costly. The prices are more than in other countries. So, perhaps this also has made the streets less active. Then you also need to take into consideration that before Covid the average age of the women was mid-twenties. Now it looks to be mid-30s and 40s and even more do not want LT or giving the GF experience anymore. And many overweight. The women online offering to meet cost the same for ST in a bar without buying their high-priced drinks as well.
  18. Why is that? If leaving the country and returning on tourist visa then applying for marriage visa based on income monthly transfers. The rules say when applying you need to show 2 months of deposit transfers only. So why would that be refused in this manner?
  19. How can they? Tax is only for people living here more than 180 days. Tourist depend on ATMs for their travel. So they could not tax every withdrawal from outside the country
  20. Hehe... try blocking the door when someone is trying to get in on the subway in new york and see what happens. No matter how you look at it. A fight or worse will ensue for sure. She instigated his anger by refusing to move when he attempted to board. His reply, although it was with a bad word, seems appropriate. Although, he was not very smart about saying she did not understand English even after she acknowledged comprehension in what he said. People are selfish and uncaring. If speaking to a Thai making a request. They and most likely she, ignored him thinking he would stop trying, until he used foul language. Sometimes they only understand the bad word before they show comprehension that you exist.
  21. Good idea. Have looked into doing this for my farm as well. But currently the cost did not seem to outweigh paying the bill monthly. If they raise the cost of electric so much then my bill will skyrocket. Changing that status and making it feasible to switch to only electric solar. Are you planning to sell the excess back to the electric company? I heard that was an option also.
  22. You are correct about being on extensions. Your option poses the question about their willingness to change the reason of extension. As I have been told they really do not like or want to do this. An agent also had said to me they do not want to do it and leaving the country is the only way. Start everything new. My retirement is based on monthly income. Not cash in the bank. So all the money transferred here may be subject to the new tax laws at 35%. Which is something i am trying to reduce by changing my visa status.
  23. Hi, thanks for any replies if given. This has probably been asked before but I would like some updated info. I have been on a retirement visa for many years even though i am married with children here. Due to the new tax regulations on money sent to Thailand, I would like to make the change to a marriage visa to reduce the amount of money transferred to Thailand via transfers. Since they can not tax monies withdrawn from ATMs this seems a viable solution to avoid paying large amounts of income tax if I am only sending money enough to cover the marriage visa requirements. Can anyone tell me what is the easiest and cheapest way to change my retirement visa to the marriage visa? I have read leaving to Laos or Vietnam and cancelling my retirement visa that way then getting a tourist visa and applying for marriage visa with 90 days on it is an option. Are there any other options that may be easier and cheaper? Also, i have been told that some immigration offices do not want to allow such changes although I do not know this for certain. So any information would be helpful about this topic. Thank you
  24. I have been reading your posts and replies Richard. Other than your arguments with another person here. Your posts seem like either you do not live in Thailand or that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Police operating within their legal right? Arbitrary or unjust drug testing? You do not know Thailand police that well i can safely assume. They do what they want. Most people would never challenge them knowing it could get worse for them. As for arbitrary and unjust? If you are sitting at a bar with your gf having a beer. i would like to see what happens to you when you throw those words back at the police who came in to test everyone and you refused. Surely it will not be pleasant. The same could be said if they stop you on the street walking around shopping. Haha! You will be screaming rights all the way to the police station in handcuffs.
