Run as fast as you can. You are definitely being taken. If you marry her it will never stop either

What a stupid mother. Doesn't she care about the consequences if there is an accident.

I wouldn't believe anyone could forget 3 times in row. It would be on my mind not to do it again. I think the authorities will think the same. Maybe you can try and plead dementia

If you like giving to beggars then you shouldn't question it. I have seen many Thais donate too. I always give them money and am happy to do it. If a few 100 Baht can help then I want to assist these poor people. Where else can they get help? Don't ask why just be the good person you are and keep giving.

I went to my Irish landlord and asked her to release me from my lease for personal reasons. She said no problem and would return my deposit. She returned a 10th of it taking out all the costs, commissions and so called damages she could. There were no damages. You can't get it back even from a farang let alone a Thai. I have lost 2 for no reason. Good luck trying.

I do not really understand OP story
It first appears he is saying they live in US and she has all the money because he has bad credit in US,
But then OP indicates he is in Thailand on over stay
Wife got a job in US? OP did not want to go?
OP, can you please may be re-write the story but make it little more clear

I have had experience in this. They don't look at your finances at all. You need the deposit required and 2 working Thai guarantors. They don't own the car you do but if you default they are the ones the finance companies chase. Hope this helps.

OMG you have to ask??

Go for it. Life's too short for regrets. You can always go back home if it doesn't work out.

I am in exactly the same boat. Not only did my lawyer take my money and do nothing, she is now representing my ex husband. Try the guys who give free advise here. Siam legal. They seem to know what they are doing. Good luck with it. You are really going to need it.

Why is that so many foreigners come to Thailand and insist on having relationships with prostitutes or daft, ignorant, money-grabbing country bumpkins?
Because it is easy for them.
-
Amen to that

Sounds. To me that she is getting over you but hasn't found someone to replace you yet. You are obviously annoying her with everything you do. I used to get agitated at my ex husband for nothing. I realised it was because I didn't want to be there anymore. Watch to see if the finances are disappearing.
I also don't blame her if you slept with someone else. Why on earth do you think that she is okay with that?
You mean they're not ?
Well I don't think so haha

Why is he doing this after returning your deposit. He seems to think you do owe him. I have never heard of anyone getting their deposit back including me. He seems to be honest so pay up and put it to rest.
-
I suppose you will be expected to pay. It's still business.

7 years is the limit in the uk for credit card debt.
But remember he doesn't owe the original bank anything.
This would of been sold on to various debt collectors to attempt to collect payment. The bank would of sold the debt a long long time ago.
Oh and I have more sympathy for the guy than i have in my little finger for banking system that make billions by overcharging and useing other peoples money to make the billion dollar profits.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
So are you condoning such behavior of " getting back at the banks?" so if every one will think
and act like you think, what will be left of our banking system? could we ever be trusted by
the banks again for any credit what so ever?
He deliberately fraud end the banks with the thought he would never go back. Well he has his Karma now and failed in Thailand as well. Karma's a bitch. No sympathy here.

The worst thing is the increase in scammers and corruption. Driving so what it takes a bit longer. Deal with it. It's the same everywhere you go.
