    Good.

It would never happen anyway, but if the talk ever gained traction then the worse the deal, the less likely it would be to happen. Hopefully, they would make rejoining dependent on Macron becoming both UK PM and UK Head of State, with Eva Kaili as Mayor of London. Given their arrogance, I wouldn't put it past them.

I'd rather take Kalli than Khan. At least Kalli is good eye-candy when she screws us over...

More weapons will solve this. Russia can't be trusted to talk. They promised peace in exchange for Ukraine giving up nuclear weapons. They lied. They said they weren't going to invade. They lied. Russia's economy is under severe stress and the effect of the sanctions won't truly be felt until later this year. Now is the time to fight because Russia can't quickly regroup and collect more weapons. Russia is finished as a world power for generations. Until they get rid of Putin or send him to The Hague they will never escape sanctions.

The literature suggests that a wider coalition of sanctioning countries could substantially increase the costs of sanctions for Russia. The impact of the sanctions is expected to increase gradually and darken Russia’s economic outlook for years to come. But while sanctions are an important tool to restrict Russia’s possibilities to continue the war, other measures are also needed.

I think that is not entirely correct.

If the phone is per USB cable connected to a computer, then the phone (at least Android) asks how this connection should be used. One option is to charge only. Another option is to transfer data. This makes it possible to copy pictures and other data from the phone directly to the computer disk, without any wireless connection.

I am pretty sure such functionality could be integrated into a cable. And then the cable would work like a PC which could receive and possibly store and possibly transmit the data from the phone. Technically this is definitely possible.

I don't know if the user has to click to allow this. Maybe it is also possible that that is the default setting of a phone as soon as a cable is connected. But then again, lots of users never look what is written in a message, they just click ok, next, whatever.

So yes, a modified charging cable, which is a lot more than a charging cable, can be used to get user data.

Data can be sent through a cable but the phone would have to be in the users posession also bank data is encrypted end to end so I really dont think this would work.

Clicking on spam texts on the other hand...

I've always enjoyed those precious few minutes of  not being fleeced for money until entering the arrival's hall. Now, the fleecing starts as soon as you leave the aircraft and it doesn't end until you take off back home again.

Impeccable timing as usual by the way. If there was ever any doubt about what they think of us, here's another little clue. Welcome to Thailand, give us your money, now F off! With a smile and wai of course.

I really hope this go's into the flight ticket. I appreciate a lot of people use cards (some with hefty charges) and many bring cash with them but a lot of passengers arrive (including me) without baht (yes, I know the rules say you have to show funds). The queues for the ATM machines will be huge.

Entry requirements were compromised for the Chinese. There was no need to include everyone else, except the Chinese in the new entry requirements.

Lots of people who don't qualify for the new entry requirements have already paid for their trip to Thailand and haven't arrived yet. So now they will have to cancel.

2 shots doesn't mean a person doesn't have covid now.

It would have been simplier to just require a negative covid test 72 hours before departure for everyone or just the Chinese like most other countries.

    A 72 hour test before departure isn't simpler. It's a ballache.

Once the Chinese are in, so are all their variants of covid.

Unless you have something to hide I don't see the problem

I have something to hide ????

I asked my local decorator to repaint the outside of my house (UK) and he quoted £400 which is the market rate for this area but he could do it for £330 cash. Now I know he isn't declaring this to the tax man but I'd much prefer to pay the lower amount.

With a cashless society you are at the mercy of the banks. They can quite easily put up their transaction charges to the retailer which in turn will push up the cost of goods.

I prefer cash, it's tangible, I know how much I have to spend because it's in my wallet rather than a number in my bank account.
