The Capture and A Confession, both new series, both very good. Episode 1 of both available.
Yes, I'm wishing the week away to see parts 2 of them.
Good to see Martin Freeman in a serious role.

Yinn, thank you for posting the pictures, they make me so sad, because many people have so little, which then gets taken away so quickly.

Perhaps rent is cheaper in Thailand, but for what? Looking at a sea that you can't swim in? Breathing hazardous air, garbage laden streets, tap water that is not safe, dirty food, the most dangerous roads in the world, what about the other things u didn't mention, food more expensive in supermarkets, booze prices etc etc etc.
corrupt police, visa rules.
lets hear u rave about these.
were all waiting.
Don't forget the Rattlesnakes....
What a dreadful post Ronald.????

Ahhh...so it's your fault it's raining in Udon.

Didn't rain here during the day, but at around 6:30 last night there was a thunderstorm, & gusts of cold wind for 45 minutes, then it all stopped.
Started raining at 2am, doesn't look like it'll stop.

Many different opinions here. I was at Bangkok pattaya yesterday, appoitment with a orthopedist, xray and back to the doctor again. 2100 Baht, not that bad.
on the other hand, to replace left hip 450-500.000 Baht. Happy for my insurance.
A hip replacement really doesn't need to be so expensive.
I paid 130k for everything at the military hospital in Udon.
Pleased with all of it.

I had a Spinal MRI at a Government hospital about 18 months ago, & it cost 8000 baht.

Yes, so you said; I too live in Udon.
Where's the pub then?

One of my regular pubs has London Pride and Black Cab on draft. The other one, just a couple of clicks away has Old Speckled Hen and Guinness, East Coast IPA, Magners, Asahi, Jakobi Weissbier Hell among about a dozen others on tap. This is up in that parochial, provincial backwater of Udon. Apparently the other nbight, one of the English regulars got all slappy with another English regular so despite the distance between the OP's fine pubs and mine, it seems that the English p!sshead travels just as well as their beer.
Where's that then Nan?

I come from an era where very few folk even had a TV, most houses were in walking distance of a pub, the pub for centuries was the entertainment, a beer, a smoke and a chat....
I remember our first television - 405 lines it was, had a radio tuner as well.

Redpill, Matzzon, how about sorting this out man to man - Queensbury rules of course?

It really is lovely to see people helping each other in need. I hope mother & son are feeling much better.
No doubt if this was the UK, the driver would be facing a disciplinary for 'inappropriate use of a company vehicle'.
