  1. Does not surprise me if 60% of people going to a clinic specialising in STD testing get positive tests, it not representing the country, it representing the worst whore province in thailand. These whore houses are pretty filthy & most of these girls are plain dumb & think of money first & health 3rd if at all !

I know a few people with HIV including a friend who came working here & had a liking for beer & girls & that got him & his girlfriend v'd up :-/

A lot more of it here than you think & many crazy expats do a good job of squirting around infected semen on a daily basis, you got be pretty desperate muck about with whores in thailand especially if you spend bit of time here & see what they get up to & how little they really know about hiv & how little is really done to keep the working girls clean. easily laughed at but if you see someone with late stage or other issues hard to treat due to hiv it not so funny & you sure as hell don't want it or the stigma that goes with it ...

The two parts I've highlighted show a contradiction.

Referring to working girls as 'whores' is derogatory.

However, the overall sentiment is clear. As crystal.

  2. Didn't know there were a couple of airline pilots on the forum. How very nice. laugh.png

Lets consider this, should the pilot be called a hero?

By the sounds of it - from reading the report, then yes, I think so.

Guy kept his nerve. His inner strength enabled him to save the lives of the passengers, in an extremely difficult time.

It is all too easy to have a glib reply such as: 'he was only doing his job'.

The real test of a person comes when face with extreme danger & how they respond to it.

Perhaps there have been other incidents where the pilot didn't 'step up' & the plane crashed.......

  3. Perhaps it is just the critical thinking mechanism that she was taught in school finally clicking in and not believing everything she has been been told or seen on Thai television. There is such a thing as empirical reasoning. Until she has experienced it herself it does not exist. ...............facepalm.gif

I quite agree. Afterall, the only thing that we can be certain of, is that we exist. Cogito etc....

Everything else is 'outside' & may be a dream.

Indeed, this whole forum could just be a clever computer & every other member, part of a program.

  4. 1. The Russians monitored everything and they wanted to be first.

    2. There is a reflector there that the astronauts set up for calculating ever changing distance between earth and moon, you can use it yourself.

Seriously though, the LLR could have been put there using an unmanned craft.

    And then there's the TR-3B.....
