By the way, foreign students have to pay their own costs for attorneys. Attorneys representing some students that were flagged by the data-base have shown that they have done nothing wrong or some minor interactions with police like traffic violations or even charges that were never brought or later dropped could be enough to land foreign students on the data-base. Some have no police interaction in their time in US. Some has no arrests and no immigration encounters. This doesn't follow due process or a chance to explain. This is authoritarianism and abuse of judicial process and lead to lawlessness.
