He can't. He has no direct command over the army nor the police. -
Debt ceiling: Janet Yellen warns US could hit debt ceiling by 1 June

That PR stunt before leaving office in 2020 was an attempt to salvage his image. He has threatened to withdraw from Nato numerous times. You fell for his insincerity making that statement. -
Debt ceiling: Janet Yellen warns US could hit debt ceiling by 1 June

Talking about stupid policies regarding national debts, you have to look at the past 3 Republican Presidents. Reagan, Bush and Trump were responsible for the current massive debts with their tax cuts and costly wars. Biden on the other hand reduced 1.7 trillion of the debts in just 2 years in office. He don’t even need extra votes to beat any Republican candidate in 2024. Republican has self destruct; thanks to Trump. -
Pheu Thai Landslide Win Depends On 7 ‘Strategic’ Provinces: Academic

I am putting my faith in the change in military command and the demographic change to prevent future coups. Ultimately what must happen is for the people choice to kick out the government. -

Yes they can be kicked out by its citizens in the next election. Repeating coups must be stopped and coup instigators put on trial. -

I share your observation on the young energized to vote. For months, youth protesters as many as 100,000 descended on Bangkok and also in campuses demanding new elections and amending the constitution. The energy has not gone away and this election will be remembered for the youth turning up and sending a clear message to the faux military government that they are not wanted. It will be an election for the Gen Z, Y and X which make up 38% of the eligible voters. Meanwhile the boomers above 67 who likely to support UTN and PPRP constitute only 6-7% of eligible voters. The rallies of the PTP and MFP are very well organized with big turnouts contrasting with the low energy and turnout for the military parties. PTP and MFP will win big in this election judging from sentiments from the ground.

If it pleases you, the next lawsuit will be out of Georgia and will be criminal rather than civil.

Tucker Carlson out at Fox News, 1 week after Dominion settlement
Eric Loh replied to Scott's topic in World News
Washington is buzzing on that possibility and why not. Tucker's base of GOP supporters are second only to Trump and he will have plenty of financial backing. He is younger and he hate Trump with a passion (his words). A Trump-Carlson brawl will be a sight to behold and a spectacle if they debate. Who will out lie the other to get the attention of the base. It will benefit De-santis but the ultimate winner will be Joe Biden. -
Tucker Carlson out at Fox News, 1 week after Dominion settlement

Murdoch's sons are cracking the whip and Fox will have to change. They will still have their audience who are unlikely to switch loyalty. Henceforth the talk shows will be heavily censored and vetted by the editors. Fox hosts will toe the line if they want to keep their jobs. Big Fox personalities like Bill O'Reilly, Glenn Beck, Roger Ailes and others were big draws and have high ratings with their controversial commentary and conspiracy theories and they got the boots. Tucker will fade away as time will take its toll. Bye and good riddance to a bad guy. -
He was ranting on Trump even on his last days in CNN. Trump fired up his spirit and he enjoyed every minute of rebuking him. Far from breaking his spirit.

Will miss his rants on Trump. He was doing great work on that count.

Lies, crazy sht and a gullible captive audience ripe for exploitation for power and grifts. Tucker learned that well from Trump. . -

The Abby Grossberg's lawsuit against Tucker for alleged sexism could the the proverbial straw that had Fox ousting him. Just one too many for Fox to back pedal their battered image. Now Tucker will have to foot his own legal fees to defend himself. Karma is a sweet revengeful bitch. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/04/24/business/media/tucker-carlson-abby-grossberg-lawsuit.html -

Prayut confident of making a comeback, but prepared “to go home”
Eric Loh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Judging from his low energy and poor turnout of people for his election campaign, I think he is in for a drubbing. Compare with the enthusiastic and sponstaneous crowds at Phue Thai and Move Forward rallies, Prayut's walk around campaign looks fake with the supporters giving him roses. Even when asked by the crowd what are his policies, he utter with disrespect and arrogance that he will only tell unless the people elect him as Prime Minister, Thailand grudglingly had 8 years of him and it's time to dumb him together with the other walking dead General. -
Why Pheu Thai handout pledge is election’s hottest topic
Eric Loh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was impressed with the co-payment subsidy scheme due to its simplicity. Million of small vendors registered for the scheme and customers pay by using the QR code. I used this numerous times. Certainly a version of this can be used for the handout policy. Just need to incorporate the blockchain database technology. -
