utterly unfair isn’t it. those that put something aside for a rainy day, or even instead of paying into a pension fund, have to pay, while those that didn’t save a dime get the service for free.

This is not a matter of boredom during an Pandemic, but about procedure. since artists are typically appointed on merit and peer review, as well as number and quality of exhibitions or publications, it is, in most countries that I know of, rather unusual that a Government strips such sign of recognition. Even if one does not like certain works of art, it still is art, and should be shown to educate the spectators.

covered this in my Final Directive, Under what circumstances to pull the plug, and who gets what, signed with four witnesses that are not beneficiaries. I have the impression this is sufficient. -

Thai Government Asks Businesses to Prepare for “Company Isolation Rules”

Sounds like a great idea, for large corporations. -
in my understanding: Unless in a private compound, I do not know of prescribed design / style, and, as far as I know, Communities do not have a "design approval committee" that needs to approve plans. Ampheu checks that the design is in line with prescribed structural specifications. (in this area Over 100 sqm, they issue a building permit. under 100 sqm they issue a certificate of approval. ) Try to find an engineer that does the technical design for you. (Ask recommendation at Ampheu sometimes is easiest way.) If it is a first house you design yourself, ask an interior design professional to give a critique on the layout , the plumbing, wiring, East/West axis etc.

an interesting article in the Economist this week about benefits and consequences of travel restrictions. https://www.economist.com/leaders/2021/08/14/most-covid-19-travel-restrictions-should-be-scrapped "" Thailand bans entry from some countries and requires all other travellers to submit to a two-week quarantine. Yet of 21,038 cases identified on August 10th, only 19 were imported. Once a variant of the virus has started to spread in the local population, infections double every couple of weeks. Entry bans make very little difference to the total caseload. "" whether you agree or not, an informative read !

if refundable, lock in the reduced prices. IF travel were to open up, the huge discounts may disappear. having said that, holidaying may be different in years to come, but making plans is enjoyable anyway ????????

you should read up on superficies and usufruct, or talk to a knowledgeable lawyer. in the case of empty land, superficies is what I prefer. who will sign for building permit, i.e. become de-facto owner of the house? as for construction possibilities, probably talking to a local architect can be helpful. (FYI, and in my humble opinion, for building a house, the ground cannot be firm enough) then, make sure you have access to the land, meaning the land is bordering on a public road, I have seen proposals where a strip of other people’s land prevents such access. who owns bordering land, and what do they intend to do there ? (chicken farm ? apartment blocks? garbage disposal facilities? factory?) Check whether there are plans for new overhead high voltage cables. who is selling the land, and why ? are you sure living so far from other people is a good idea for you? how long is the drive to the nearest emergency room ? Will this be a sellable investment cum asset, or an illiquid burden? Talk to an English speaking, foreign, real estate agent to assess resale feasibility, and go see some alternatives that might be more liquid in case of need. real-estate is only good investment if it has re-sale value, otherwise suggest not to buy it. wish you good luck, and, above all, wisdom

what is the difference between treating a broken leg, a pneumonia, or a Covid patient. All should be treated with proper care. Legislation by disease is rather arbitrary and inefficient, moreover this disregards that Medical Personnel have the same duty to any of their patients.: give the best care possible!! -
good idea ! as traders do not use those market differences and the ensuing opportunities, someone gave a good example and transported 2.000.000 grams of food, (that is a total weight of 4.000.000 , FOUR Millions) between regions to demonstrate market economics. Market Arbitrage at its best !! Also, using those planes for a country wide beneficial marketing project seems better than let them fly around empty or with just military equipment and personnel, …. apparently.

that were not a business enterprise but a benevolent fund. a business is by definition set up to make a profit. If there is a profit, one can donate to the poor. however, donating to poor, if that happened, and if that was indeed the plan, and was demonstrated by many years of transfers to relevant organisations, and the amounts were in line with the intent of benevolence rather than making a profit, does not make drug pushing a noble activity, it remains a despicable crime.
