How can we order these lens & frames from the internet at fraction of the cost?

    Places like Zenni Optical.

I've been dealing with Thai opticians for a lot of years.  Their entire business is a hard-sell of inferior products or a hard-sell of extremely expensive "designer" and "fashion" products.   I'm tired of dealing with hard-sells, high-prices, and low quality.  Zenni has been suggested by a few people I know.  And the prices are quite literally a fraction of what these optical stores in Thailand charge.

  2. I need to get a new lenses prescription for my glasses as well as a full eye exam (dilation) and a consult with an Ophthalmologist.

Do any of the CM hospitals provide
services to provide refraction and a written prescription for lens.  At the same time I want to consult with an Ophthalmologist regarding a full check of my eyes as well as discussing specific eye issues I'm having.

I want to get this done through a hospital and not a Thai optical shop as virtually every 'optician' in Thailand will only give you a refraction but otherwise demand you buy the glasses and lens from them.  I just want the lens prescription which I plan to get filled by a US optician on the Internet for a fraction of the cost.

Then he took aim at the principal causes citing familiar bugbears:

    People gambling

    People drinking alcohol

    People having parties

People congregating in too large numbers.

Such people have brought death and illness, he said, blaming certain sections of the public for reckless behavior endangering and causing trouble to others.

3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
4 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye?
5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

indeed my hotel in phuket asked me to which province i am going to continue from here, because they need to report it to immigration.

i asked them to which province am i allowed to continue.

even the buses within phuket stopped operating.

what a shame. after all the hastle and paying 8000 baht for PCR tests, all we can do  is walk around the hotel.

And you didn't anticipate just this?  It was very obvious where this was heading.  And now we're just starting.

  5. Now that Prayut and friends have successfully infected the entire country, implement totalitarian measures and claimed success while blaming average Thais and washing their hand and claiming they are personally blameless.

These people must be living in a bubble of their own making.
Even I understand what 'average Thais" are thinking and feeling like right now.  I live with them.

  6. So now its beyond obvious how this works.

    1. Immigrant labor working for peanut to enrich wealthy Thai corporate interests - to the front of the line.
    2. Chinese were vaccinated by their own country who cares for their citizens.
(Persona Non Grata) Everyone else - "Go to hell.  Free free to die foreign scum.  You mean nothing to either Thailand or your own countries." <---  A combined message from both foreign embassies led by the US embassy (China and France excluded) and the Thai government.

And elderly expats.  Die quickly.  Neither your embassies or the Thai government gives a rip about your pathetic old caresses.  You're the most vulnerable.  So just quit breathing and leave your money in a Thai bank for the government.  Just die.  Here, let us help by withholding vaccines.

  7. The Covid Czar opened the gates up and allowed infected people to travel from red zones across the country to infect most of the rest of the country which had no infections.  The government chose not to stop the infection.  The facilitated it.  The government is 100% at fault.  And the satang stops with the Czar.

So Prayut blames the plebs.  What a class act.  But everyone has known that since 2014.  I listen to Thais.  Outside of Bangkok the natives, most that I know, are not happy.
Now Prayut - "It's your fault Thai people!"  Class act.  Now keep telling the people how you have vaccines of every type for everyone.

If Thailand interferes with AstraZenaca's contractual obligations to other ASEAN countries by stealing vaccine supplies via export controls - Thailand's industrial export sector is going to take a hit that may break the country's export markets.  No one will trust Thailand to its contractual obligations in the export sector if it pulls the trigger on diverting AZ export to domestic distribution.

I wonder if they are stupid enough to do it?
