Excellent News!!! We should tell that to our Indonesian brothers and sisters!
"JAKARTA, June 17 (Reuters) - More than 350 doctors and medical workers have caught COVID-19 in Indonesia despite being vaccinated with Sinovac and dozens have been hospitalised, officials said, as concerns grow about the efficacy of some vaccines against more infectious variants."

What’s most discerning is being a fully vaccinated foreigner counts for nothing...yet, all these requirements in place as they cite their own low vaccination rates....
If you are fully vaccinated then you have nothing to worry about! You're completely safe! ????

Bingo!
PCR tests are not standardized <period> Without an international cycle-count standard test are an unreliable diagnostic tool. The cycle count could be standardized to say 27 cycles which catches those with significant viral loads without tripping false positives. But they are not.
So subjecting yourself to a PCR test with a non-standardized cycle-count could very well land you in an expensive hospital with a false positive. Or worse, field hospital. And if you were asymptomatic before being forcefully admitted to a hospital you may very well not be before you leave. And if are traveling a a family and you pop positive, you are thrown into the hospital and your kids are thrown into quarantine with complete strangers? And if there are unscrupulous enough people (never in Thailand?) perhaps your PCR test is given a cycle-count high enough to guarantee you spend your vacation and your $100,000 in a hospital. Very lucrative for the hospitals, would it not be?
I would not accept the risks of taking multiple PCR tests either especially if traveling with family and children.
The world's standards bodies seriously need to set a standardized cycle-count for PCR tests and make sure they are followed by labs.- 5

Use Gillette Blue 3-blades. The things last forever.
Shave in the shower. Grab any soap that's handy. Shave by feel.
Maybe look in the mirror afterwards, maybe not. I've never been hampered by vanity.
Ditch cologne, never have been a fan. Whatever the soap smells like is good enough although I'm fond of citrus.
Don't shave for three days, then shave under the chin and neck because it's rough, then after about 5 days I can't stand the feel and shave it all off (I could never be a "Hipster") Then may go clean shaven for a few days. Rinse and repeat. -

Got a point there. For all the China bashing that Westerners love to engage in, it's pretty much a fact that China's middle class is growing as the Western middle classes are dissolving into poverty. There might actually be something to Chi-Com Capitalism. They seem interested in building their middle class as opposed to tearing it down as is happening in the West. And here come those Chinese upper-middle class with cash in hand to buy condos. If I had kids they'd be learning Mandarin. Follow the money.

I guess they can deny all they want. What are they going to do. File defamation charges against every news agency in the world? I guess it's a tough life when the sun, moon, and stars all revolve around just you. Your poop begins to smell like flowers right when the world decides to name a virus after you. ????

The government says it will have 6 million AstraZenaca doses and 3 million Sinovac doses available in June.
The FDA on Friday approved the Sinopharm coronavirus vaccine for emergency use, making it the fifth authorised by Thailand after AstraZenaca, Sinovac's CoronaVac, Johnson & Johnson's Janssen and Moderna.
The royal academy procurement comes after Thailand was hit by its worst COVID-19 outbreak so far, with over 80% of its 144,976 cases and 954 deaths occurring in the past two months, driven by the highly transmissible B.1.1.7 variant first detected in Britain.
Just a over 1 million of Thailand's more than 66 million people are fully vaccinated.
What a freaking mess. -
Amazing Thailand Variant. I can see all those tourist streaming into Phuket July 1st to catch a peek.

Bangkok Business News quoted the secretary of the Office of the National and Social Development Council as fearing an explosion in crime as a result of easing restrictions on marijuana.
They relaxed cannabis laws so that there was an explosion of money into the pocket of connected individuals and companies. This wasn't for the public. They'll never willingly allow the public to consume anything but alcohol even if it means killing a guaranteed money maker for the country.
The power elite accomplished their goals led by Anutin of The Wacky-Weed. Now the charge will be reversed in an attempt to go full Reefer Madness and demonize everything cannabis except for Thai produced oils and no-high decorative leaves used to pretend that Thailand has relaxed its laws.
In the meantime, they see if they can stuff more users in there jails and prisons and perhaps they can push the percentage of the prison population in on "Drug Crimes" past 90%.
Da*m, if they'd just decriminalize it they'd empty their prisons.- 1

Imagine posting your post on a US-based Thai-expat forum for Thais in California.
Quote"They are prioritizing getting people vaccinated. Thai speaking foreigners are a fraction of 1% of the people that need to be vaccinated. Don't think they are ignoring us and they will get around to us as time allows."
You'd be able to hear the howls of indignation and yells of "Racism" from North Hollywood all the way to your condo in Thailand.
Foreigners (including Thais) in the United States are in the same lines as US citizens all for the public good. Here in Thailand, foreigners are at the back of the line behind Thais to placate the public's xenophobia.- 3

The government has changed tack and shifted the responsibility for registering for vaccination to individual provinces. Presumably that means that the promised application for foreigners to register for vaccination has now been abandoned.

On Thursday (May 27), Phuket governor Narong Woonciew revealed that 50% of the local population of Phuket have already been vaccinated.
Considering that Thai politicians are paragons of Truth, I wonder about the veracity of this claim?

However, in Phuket, the speedy rollout of the vaccine means the island is now well on course to reach its target of vaccinating 70% of the local population ahead of its planned re-opening to foreign tourists on July 1.
Money (tourism) trumps the welfare of the entire country as vaccines are diverted to Phuket. Can we expect the same for Pattaya and other tourist hot-spots? Some 76 year old Thai lady just gave up her vaccination to inoculate a 20 something bar-girl?

The people telling us that tourism will be roaring back come July 1st don't have the IQ to wear effective PPE. Well of course not. They're are deluged with pictures of news anchors, entertainers, and Hi-So wearing plastic visors to protect them from inhaling viruses that are microns in sizes?
So much propaganda. "Trust me. I'm an expert!"
No thanks. All that you are doing Governor Yuthasak Supasorn is virtue signaling in a mask that wouldn't stop a virus the size of a rock.Every farang in Phuket who doesn't want to wear a mask should use one of these. Completely ineffective but easier than trying to suck air through a piece of cloth. And! Now given the explicit endorsement of Governor Yuthasak Supasorn!

Killing and eating animals is a stain on humanity.
Can you imagine the Sioux eating grass?
Our world is a brutal place. Life lives on Life.
Every carnivore and omnivore on this planet live by consuming the flesh of other animals - and there are countless animals in countless species doing exactly that as I write this. Humans are omnivores. We're not all that special. Even the most devout Arahant monk in Thailand will consume meat.
That is the stark reality of life on this planet and in our realm of existence. Wanting it to be different is ignoring reality.- 1

You think that anyone with half a brain would spend the rest of their life eating chick peas just to impress a girl?
No. Just eat chick peas long enough to get laid. Btw, I like chickpeas and well as Indian cooking and short-time vegan gals. Tasty.

How can you tell if someone is a vegan?
Because they'll tell you again, and again, and again, and again.
What's the number one rule of vegan fight club?
Tell everyone, tell them again and again and again.
How many vegans does it take to eat a cheeseburger?
Only one, as long as nobody is looking.
I know vegan advocates and I know carnivore diet advocates. I consider both diets to be extremes.
For the vegans, the fact that most need vitamin B12 supplementation should be a warning. For the carnivores, having a messed up gut biome should be a warning.
More power to the people who wish to eat at those extremes.
Me? I like moderation and a mix. We're omnivores. At least I am. Middle of the road is the way to go. If you're getting macro and micro nutrients in proper proportions, then you are eating right.
