And amazingly high street landlords still increasing rents.

They will always do there best to, but they actually have a duty to their shareholders to get the best return on their investments and probably actually getting less with most of the big retailer claiming poverty and trying to renegotiate their contracts.

You only have to look at our high streets to see who went out of business in the last few years as the shops have not been re let.

Names like: Debenhams, House of Fraser, BHS, Maplins, The Money Shop, Bathstore, Office Outlet, Patisserie Valerie, HMV, Pound World, 99p Store, Children's World, Toy's R Us, and now Thomas Cook, to name just a few of the thousands of names that adorn vacant proprieties across the UK, If you want to invest in the UK I would suggest companies like VPS (Vacant Property Services).

The Greater London Authority (GLA) said last month it had referred Johnson to Britain’s police watchdog for potential investigation over allegations of misconduct involving Arcuri.

The GLA said the allegations were that Johnson had a friendship with Arcuri and as a result of that friendship allowed her to participate in trade missions and receive sponsorship.

Fact is that on her own admission Boris had visited her "office", so Boris had dealings with this Woman, whether they were professional interests or as a friend seems that Boris may have failed to declare an interest while holding the office of Lord Mayor of London.

The one question that she could have been asked which she was not, did her office feature a bed?

Referendums are not currently legally binding , that is not to say that legislation can not be introduced to make them so.

There is no reason why a referendum can not be legally binding, just depends on the wording of the bill that is needed for any referendum, but it makes common senses to make them only binding if there is a clear majority as done in most other countries.

Please try not to be so insulting for no reason towards another poster.

May's deal was 'leave in name only', and the boris 'deal' isn't much better.

The EU certainly didn't participate in "genuine negotiations", they dictated the terms of any talks, and May (a remainer) allowed them to get away with this.

That was not a reflection of my opinion of any poster...

Please do not try deflecting the issue with BS.

"May's deal was 'leave in name only', and the boris 'deal' isn't much better." that's your opinion which I disagree on, but why not put it to the country with a referendum?

  5. The article refers to Brits living in Britain...

London was the preferred destination, not Pattaya.

I am sure for Brits in Thailand (and their spouses to be ...or not) the figure would be a lot different.

I am sure a Stag do's in Soi 6 and the bride to be skipping her hen do for a trick or too would top the list...

Possibly the groom bumping into the bride to be in a Soi 6 bar... ????
