What a joke, do they realise just what is involved.
1st a design. then it is unlikely any company can make all the components, let alone medical grade, so this needs to be an open sources very basic, no frills design, with specialist companies tendering to make the components.

The obvious question... Are they washable?
In the UK they are going like hot cakes on Ebay, someone is selling them for £6 (over 200THB) each...

Also the F1 organisation must have known the writing was on the wall from the cancellation of the main motogp race at Qatar because Italians were banned from travelling there and I think there are 4 Italian motogp teams.
Eventually F1 would have had a race where Ferrari couldn't travel to, I couldn't imagine the whole set up staying out of Italy and finding a corona free country to carry out their business for the racing year. I would have been disappointed if they has started without Mclaren as it's one of the teams I follow.
It took 8 hours from when it was agreed to cancel before it was announced...
QuoteLegal complications delayed the announcement of the cancellation but the farcical situation will be seen by many to have damaged the reputations of both the F1 and the FIA. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/51849163

I doubt that it will not start util end of June possibly France.

I don't believe for a second the UK only has 459 cases. It's a lot more.
Agreed.
Yesterday I heard in the UK we have the ability to only carry out 1,500 tests a day, seems to me they have been rationing tests, so a lot of people not tested, including some who may have died.
Predicted worst case scenario 20% of workers off sick, given the UK population is 65M plus, that's 13m sick, so say over a fortnight we would need to test nearly 1 million a day.
Latest official figures:
QuoteTwo more people have died after testing positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of UK deaths to 10.
There are now 596 confirmed cases in the UK, up from 456 on Wednesday - with 491 in England, 60 in Scotland, 20 in Northern Ireland and 25 in Wales.
It comes as the government is expected to announce within hours that it is stepping up its coronavirus response.

And the Australian F1 GP has been cancelled.

I imagine the length of time this person has been ill and the delay in starting tracing makes it pretty much a waste of time. Tracing everyone in every place he went to, talked to, touched, tracing every one on the plane that brought them home the same.
I do think the figures reported reflect the situation 7-14 days ago given the time for the infection to show, the time to collect the samples and then test them.

I am happy that it has been cancelled. Farangs have destroyed the true tradition of it and the Thai only doing it for the money they can get in selling the water guns.
Bottomline, this what Farangs do, they go to other countries and destroy their culture traditional and the people don’t care until it late to correct it.

Bahrain Grand Prix: Fans banned because of coronavirus
QuoteFans will not be allowed to attend this month's Bahrain Grand Prix because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Organisers said the race - scheduled for 20-22 March - would be "participants only" because allowing spectators at the event "would not be the right thing to do".
The Chinese Grand Prix from 17-19 April was postponed last month.

Last Sunday I recall the count as 35 midday and a further four later in the day, the last 3 days the numbers each day has been in excess of 40, by next weekend the numbers will probably be hundreds each day and the death toll in double figures barring some miracle, MINISTERS have reportedly warned local councils to brace themselves for 100,000 coronavirus deaths in the UK.
Already in Italy a quarter of it's population is on lockdown, including a ban on Weddings & Funerals, expect that by the time the UK is reporting the same sort of numbers we will realise such actions "too little, too late"...

How many cameras?
OK maybe able to get half decent cameras of Alibaba for a thousand THB but the they will need wiring up all the way to Soi 9 or connecting to the internet, and connecting to power.

Agree no point in panicking, the Genie is out of the bottle, but there are a number of things one can do to reduce the risk until this virus dies out, but for most of us all we are doing is delaying getting it.
The good news is for many they hardly feel unwell which is causing a big problem in containing it, the bad news it is a killer for 1-2% of those who get it.
As for panic buying, I do not have to worry about loo rolls as my mum who passed away last year forsaw this and I still have a years stock of loo rolls and tissues, as for hand gels that is a big problem, we had loads lying around the house that careers had left lying around but I had a big clear up after mum passed away and only had two 20ml bottles left which I have nearly depleted and every shop seems to be sold out of them.

The UK fishing industry would grow significantly without even trying or doing anything extra. Simply ditching the EU quotas would permit them to keep all they catch.
