I see, i thought they were swat team members but i might be wrong.
I also remember a pic where 10 swat guys are hiding behind an ambulance...don't they know that bullets from a war weapon easy fly through a van?
They need a better swat team, this took far too long...
I do not think they were swat guys hiding behind the ambulance...

Highly likely. Seemed to have retreated to a kitchen storage area. Probably could only take 2 hostages with him. a boy and a girl, their bodies in close proximity to his. The question is did he kill them or were they the victims of friendly fire?
As he had a number of weapons and likely the goods guys were also using the same or similar weapons and ammo it will be down to a forensic ballistics expert to determine by which gun the casualties were shoot from, big question is will the authorities really want to know?

RIP to the many victims.
Shame to FB who let this guy use FB live for hours !
FB did take his page down, I think it was after about 3 hours I heard quoted, I would suspect FB would have first liaised with the Thai authorises as taking down his pages could have antagonised him causing more fatalities.

Even the TAT will have a hard job spinning this. Whatever chance the Thai tourism had this year, that's the last nail in the coffin
Does not scare me...
This could have happened almost any country in the world, most people in the shopping mall got out alive, of the fatalities how many were shoot in the mall excluding security forces? and how many thousands would have been in the mall at 18:00 on a Saturday afternoon?
So where would you recommend that would be safer??? USA???

Lights out, a few flash bangs and then go in shooting.
That is too predictable, remember he is military trained, the best way to resolve it is with something he is not expecting or planed for.

But how can a normal soldier suddenly lay his hands on guns a ton of ammo
Dont they have checks n balances in the army?....... ok seems i answered my own question
Someone needs to be accountable for this! time will tell..
The fact he was able to walk into the arsenal and grabbed guns, ammo, grenades and maybe explosives as well, and nobody stopped him? do they not lock or post guards to stop that happening?
I do not think he will be taken alive, the army does not want him explaining how easy it was.

Elite police, army forces lay siege to Korat mall where gunman is holed up
Elite police and army forces from the Crime Suppression Division in Bangkok and Lop Buri-based Special Forces have arrived at Terminal 21 shopping mall in downtown Nakhon Ratchasima province, where a gunman is believed to be holed up with many shoppers trapped inside.
Glad they have the army, hope the PM is telling the army commander to sort out his mess...

with human studies in the summer if enough funding is secured,
Wow...
But probably already half a million already infected (reports that the Chinese are vastly under reporting the exact figures), and that number doubling every week, so 1 million next week, 2 million the week after, then 4 million the next week, and so on, by the end of April is would be more that 8 billion, that's more than the entire population on this planet, with a fatality rate of 2% that's 160 deaths or more to the point 1 in 50 of us will not see the summer...
Lets pray for a miracle.

I don't see where Tom Cotton suggested where the virus came from. Perhaps I missed something in the post you are reacting to.
As for "deflecting", I don't find that valid. A US Senator deals with many issues, both at home and abroad. To think he should simply shut up about a very serious health issue because you think he should be talking about ______________ instead doesn't seem rational to me.
Yes you did...

Wow, I never thought of the Lancet as a nationalist organization. According to Wikipedia:
The Lancet is a weekly peer-reviewed general medical journal. It is among the world's oldest, most prestigious, and best known general medical journals.[1]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lancet
I'm not sure how makes a leap to attacking Americans because they cite an organization like the Lancet. Perhaps you can articulate where the Lancet is going wrong with their scientific analysis on the issue? Or is there some track record they have as to why we should trust them over the people who stand to benefit the most from spreading disinformation?
The Lancet questioned the Chinese versions of events... they certainly did not even suggest it came from Wuhan Bio Lab.
I suggest this is a Republican defecting attention from issues closer to home.

One thing for sure one of the first things to go will be the "for personal use" customs allowance on fags and booze from the EU, many hardened smokers who rely on under the counter cheap fags wont forgive the Tories for this.

Here we go again...
Americans having a go a the the Chinese without any hard evidence, should keep it shut until they can prove it, it could have been manufactured by the Chinese but at this time the is no hard evidence.

A flat front tire does not cause loss of steering control; the rim of the flat or burst tire will leave two trails in the roadway and the vehicle will stop very quickly
I beg to differ, I watched a car take a corner at speed with no tyre left on a front wheel... the driver hit the curb hard and nearly rolled before driving another 200 yards when driver and passenger decamped and ran, and they were not even being followed by the police, (this was in the UK).

This is nothing new, Fires and Electrocutions caused by cheap "aftermarket" chargers that are made in China.
They will have many endorsements printed or stamped on them but in reality those CE, UL, TuV, BS kitemark and other logos that imply the product meets the appropriate safety standards are worthless.
Thankfully we have Trading Standards confiscating and destroying these dangerous devices in the UK that have fake endorsements but still I know a number of people who have firsthand experience of the devices Exploding, catching fire and users getting a nasty shock.
But at least in the UK we are doing something about them.

Same reason as Markle's dad, daughter sided with mom in the divorce.
It appears to be fairly common.
I do not know if that was the case, It was only days before the wedding that there any talk there may be a family rift, there was a lot of talk that the real issue was that Megan's half siblings by her farther were not invited to the wedding and getting royal titles.
Megan's mother was invited and attended, and she was well received.

don't you think the US & Israel would have been monitoring commercial radio traffic?.
Probably not, the range of VHF radio would probably not extend to even 100 miles at low altitude, and the only practical way to listen in was either a covert listening station and anyone even suspected operating such a station would be toast if caught, maybe satellites but they would have to be nearly overhead at the right time, again maybe possible to from a reconnaissance aircraft outside Iran's territory, but there again such planes and satellites would probably be monitoring military frequencies.

Better chance in Thailand as politicians don't get kick backs from an organisation representing gun manufacturers funded by gun owners...
