Then for Squadron-level exercises, live-fire, and integration into Ukrainian command (e.g., SEAD missions) a realistic (Combat-Ready Squadron) takes 3-6 months. All this gets 10-20 jets operational... It's also difficult to get any accurate info but fighter pilots are the scarcest resource, with heavy losses (~50-60 confirmed since 2022, including 3 F-16 pilots by mid-2025). Pre-war strength was ~100-150 qualified fighter pilots; current estimates account for training surges. Gripens does not look a game changer... F16s have not achieved that either.
