Well she would certainly surprise me if she would return and face the court. Perhaps it's part of a masterplan from the missunderstood fugitive, perhaps she's her own woman and decided herself. Perhaps some secret deal has been brokered beforehand with the military government.

Fact is that so far no high ranking person from the yl government is put behind bars. And there sure is reason enough to put Tarit, Chalerm, Jattuporn and many others there.

If that doesn't happen at all then notning will change in the long run. Despite the good start Prayuth has made in less than three months. Wait and see then.

I hope people from all sectors of the country are fairly represented here, including those from the Northeast and North and the farmers.   If not things will never change here.  They will just wait for the elections and the country will just go full circle.

What is the penalty in your country for people who overstay?

It is fair that she can submit further evidences as long as they are true. However, there is a hard evidence that many rice farmers were screwed by the Yingluck administration. I am curious to see how she defends the charges.      

This case has nothing to do with the farmers being paid.

This case(s) is about malfeasance, corruption, negligence . . . farmers killing themselves because they didn't get paid would certainly have a LOT to do with how well the Thaksin rice scam was conceived and administered.

The facts are you must show that you are really a tourist and not trying to stay in Thailand using 30 days exempt entry to stay here.   The way you are asking this question it seems you are what immigrations is trying to stop.

I agree. Under the new constitution, no person can be a member of the National Legislative Assembly "being or having been a person holding any position in a political party within 3 years prior to the date of appointment as a member of the National Legislative Assembly."

So why waste time and money on impeachment?

I was unaware that there is a new constitution. Last I heard they were in the process of writing one.

As for the impeachment it serves the purpose of showing that none are exempt if they qualify.
That has been a big problem here in Thailand overlooking the law. It just encouraged the corrupt to continue on with it.

Impeach them all that is a message that even a red shirt could understand. Well most of them. Well most of them I think. Not sure now that I think of it if they are that bright.

It is an interim constitution.

How do you impeach someone from office who is no longer in office?
