I can confirm that the basic fee is in the region of 30,000. That is no frills basic cremation. Anything else is above and beyond but the base fee covers all of the necessities right up to ashes collection by next of kin/friend.

Bumrungrad in Bkk has an excellent dermatology center, I speak from experience. Not cheap but very good. I have had numerous basal cell carcanomas excised so consider myself a fair expert. Liquid nitrogen is only effective for keratosis, pre-cancerous lesions. Surgery is required to confirm entire excision of affected tissue. Most of the Bangkok Hospital chain have dermatology units, I use the Bangkok Samui for my events. Please feel free to pm me if I can be of any help. Good luck!

Ok, going to try to do this without being sued. I have been trying for the last month to get an explanation regarding the tightening of the resident card for discounted fares. It has been....frustrating to say the least. Basically if you are not married to a Thai or the owner of a company (which is illegal if you are using nominee share holders) you cannot get a card. I operate under a 30 year lease in our property in my Thai partners name which is not good enough apparently. I guess it is just another case of a conglomerate monopoly doing as they wish.

They just need to call it what it is, a foreigner tax. It wont matter if you have a visa or not, any person holding a non Thai passport will be charged.

I have just done my renewal and it has been streamlined. You need to pass an online test, photocapture the acknowledgment of completion. Bring expired licence. Medical certificate, got mine at Thai Inter in Chaweng, eye test included. Face page from passport, signed. Visa page from passport, signed. Licence office is upstairs now, you can go any time. Present your documents, do the Depth, color and reflex tests. Pay 505 baht and done. I was in and out in 20 minutes.

Can anyone post requirements for renewal lately? My license has just expired and I would dearly love to get the renewal right the first go. Thanks troops.

UPDATE! Just got back and here is the skinny. Copy of TM30, Face page of passport, signed, Current visa, signed, They give you the proper form downstairs and the one week wait is still in effect. No charge. N.B. If you have renewed your passport since your TM30 issue you need a copy of the visa transfer stamp in your new passport, signed. No pictures!

Was out there today and went down Ghost Road at the 7/11 intersection to Bangrak, into arrivals and down the service road to departures. Thanks all for the updates.

Anybody been up the road to the airport from Bandon Hospital lately, heard it was closed for roadwork a few weeks back. Cheers
