  1. Reading the articles tells me one thing. It either came from the PL4 Lab or, it mutated naturally. They have hard evidence that one of these is correct. Meaning that they actually have ZERO hard conclusive evidence!!!

An interesting point is that the US has a research partnership with this very same PL4 Lab in Wuhan. It also has another PL4 partnered lab along with 6 lower level research laboratories elsewhere in China. No mention of this alliance from the press though!!! ????

But questions still have to be asked of the government... where were all the trillions when it was needed.

You kept boasting about being the best performing nation in Asia, having the best economy, highest monetary reserves etc etc.

Where was it when the nation needed it?

Someone higher up said. Don't spend my money on the plebs. They can starve for all l care. ????

prime scotch fillet export quality steak has dropped from $30 a kg to $20 a kg here in Australia in the past couple of weeks. We now have a oversupply of the stuff.

The devil you dois all good but, it will not sustain the economy as a whole. If, we start manufacturing domestically for export, the goods will be expensive thus, only niche markets will be found, again niche markets will not be enough!!!

Trump will be demanding China buy beef from his base cattle ranchers to replace boycotted Australian meat. If the American consumer hasn't shunned Chinese goods till now why in hell will they start now? Walmart didn't become what it is today by being  patriotic. Same can be said for Apple and their Chinese supply chain.  Australia is on its own.  Recovery will be long and hard without China buying its exports.

Agree. America will pick up beef, wheat and other agricultural exports that Australia will lose, 100% guaranteed.

Australia is in this mess due to the governments UN envoked policies. They should have restricted ALL foreign investment of land, resources and infrastructures long ago.

It's great in retrospect to be able to see the sense in shutting the stable door, while you still have a horse, though he is simply uttering what many of us have been saying for nearly two months now, that Thailand should have had a strict immigration procedure in place a long time ago. Keeping the arms open in welcome for so long to save tourism numbers, was bound to have consequences sooner or later.

I didn't see any scientific evidence above to back up his claim this is a different strain, so hope he has that at least partially wrong.

WTH!!! What new strain is this <deleted> on about?

Is WHO aware of this NEW ITALIAN strain???

This is the resulting wrongful statements in retaliation for the sweeping unsubstantiated generalizations, accusations, and conspiracy theory allegations generated and perpetuated from many sources in the west almost since day one ! Little if anything has been made in attempt to present the well recorded events and the timeline of the Chinese reaction to the discovery of this new virus in favor of allowing the general Media to encourage populist negativity towards China. That is despite the WHO affirming that the Chinese  authorities acted appropriately once the virus was recognized. The story of the "martyred" Doctor who eventually became a victim is a distortion of facts. He was an Ophthalmologist who was censured for distributing information to colleagues on the same day qualified Virologists made their report of suspicions to higher authorities. He was never threatened, just told  not  to make  further statements  about a subject he had no expertise in. Sadly he contracted the infection from one of his  own patients who at that time was an unknown infectious source.

Ignored is that while again it is convenient to vilify the Chinese inhabitants of Wuhan as some disgusting representation of all China it is still a mystery about "Patient zero" who had  nothing to do with the market.

Perhaps this  link may be of enlightenment  to some?

.The  Chinese Envoy would  have been best to say nothing such as he has but he  at least has  reserved the defense of it being a  "suggestion"  rather than an accusation.

I agree, and at this point nothing would surprise me. We really need to know who patient number one was and where they contracted it and where they came from. I am sorry to say this but, America is at war with China. Albeit an economic one. Anything is possible when your losing your Number 1 position in the world!!!

In a few days... the panic will be global.

There are still many people who have absolutely no clue, no info, no data.

But it changes very quickly (look at Europe. Less than 10 days ago the virus was a chinese  issue... Nobody was concerned).

Regarding Thailand it's the same. Even if the weather reduces the risk here (I start to believe it, to some extend)... Thai people are very emotional.

They will go from one extreme ("mai pen rai", "arai na khrap ?") to full blown and baseless panic.

Therefore : bye bye tour operators. Ciao little trips for rich people in Europe, Japan  that were so sanook to publish on Instagram and Facebook, etc.

Anyway too bad : Disney World Tokyo has just been.... closed (for 2 weeks they say, ah ah ah ah).

Nobody will buy cars anymore. And condos/houses neither.

More than the health issue.... the Wuwuflu is a disaster for the global economy.

    That's the real challenge.

It might be easy to put the (health) dust under the carpet... But full blown economic damages ? How the current "governement" could handle this ?

Prayuth is about to regret the good old days when he had to care only about the menu at the military canteen, and which uniform he would wear at the next ceremony...

Interesting that we have just entered the Chinese "Year of the metal rat" l was told that it means from  great hardships and decline, great rewards will be gained"

I think we all know who will have the hardship and who will gain!!!

But never forget the general waiting in the wings, who is the son of a ruthless general who was the main man in a coup when unarmed youngsters protested in Soi Aree, Bkk, his soldiers shot down and killed 200 young civilians, trucks took their dead bodies away quickly and those bodies have never been found.

And don't forget the guy in the wings and the PM are not friendly, plus the army factions they come from severely dislike each other.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the general in the wings step in trying to make further rules about preventing the spread of the virus.

Combine all of that with growing student protests in regard to justice and democracy, wow...

If the protests continue..... They will unleash the beast. He is ever so wanting it to be!!!

Bullets will fly again in the name of National Security!!!

WHO are a bit behind the curve but I think it is becoming clear that we are entering the global pandemic phase.

    https://news.rthk.hk/rthk/en/component/k2/1510158-20200222.htm

Viruses vary in how they infect. The new coronavirus -- unlike its cousins Sars, or severe acute respiratory syndrome, and Mers, or Middle East respiratory syndrome -- spreads as easily as a common cold.

And it's almost certainly being spread by people who show such mild symptoms that no one can tell, said Dr Amesh Adalja of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.

"If that's the case, all of these containment methods are not going to work," Adalja said. "It's likely mixed in the cold and flu season all over the place, in multiple countries" and gone unnoticed until someone gets severely ill.

These milder symptoms are good news "in terms of not as many people dying," said Mackay, of Australia. "But it's really bad news if you are trying to stop a pandemic," he added. (AP)

    80% get a sniffle

    20% Get more severe symptoms

    2% DEATH RATE

    Just over 2000 dead GLOBALLY

What a con job this is SHEEPLE!!!
