Interesting ,mate. Have just returned from Australia where I used an expired NSW license as proof of who I was at a pharmacy to buy psuedoephedrine tablets. I cannot keep the license current as being over 75 cannot do the health/eye tests in a short visit. I bank with Kasikorn but they are getting ridiculous with their rules so intend to use my Krungsri account for the next visa extension after the stamp (marriage) is done on Friday.

If you are using an ImmiAccount, after you have uploaded all of the necessary documents, I think (as it is 3 years since last time) , before you hit the apply button there is an option to submit additional information. I have included a letter request for the 3 year period because of my family situation (older siblings) where we might need to return to Oz on short notice.

The normal is 3 months max stay. They can also give a multiple entry with 3 months max each stay. My wife gets a multi entry for three years each time but have heard they can give 10 year multi visa for frequent visitor. Will try that next time.

I am Australian so do not know if you can open an ImmiAccount to get the visa (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/tools/immiaccount). As said above there is a lot of paper work but approval is quick if in order. The main problem your wife will need to have biometrics done at VFS Global in Bangkok or Chiang Mai and they only give you two weeks to do it after the application is approved. Crazy system as the biometrics are already in her passport.

They must have improved their game since the last time i was there a few years ago for the wife's biometrics. Between then and the time before they changed to the appointment system unknown to me. They insisted on charging for an on the spot appointment to get the biometrics done.

That is true in my case, after them speaking to the call center, and also for my wife's account that holds most of our money.

That is if the bank will agree. My Thai wife is under 60 and we went though all the channels to get her limits increased as she has been set the same limits as a foreigner. The end result, No!

As a follow up to my previous post I also received an email stating that the maximum transfer will be 50,000 effective 23 January. When I checked today's limit is 49,999. Maybe they have finally coded their limits to 50,000 instead of >50,000.
