  1. Sorry, your selectively picking years which is the wrong approach. How about over a 4 year period. The USA economy is booming and the EU is not. The data you provided shows that the USA was growing almost 50% more than the EU in 2019 and you state this is not much. Really? Hence the higher inflation. You do know that those growth numbers above are adjusted for inflation? Those number verify that adjusted for inflation the USA economy is substantially better than the EU during Bidens administration. I'll most likely be voting for Trump but just saying... Why was the USA throwing so much money into an overheating economy??? Strange and I don't see how it won't cause terrible consequences. If Trump gets elected, he definitely will be inheriting substantially more debt than in 2016.
  2. Booming economies have higher inflation as a general rule - Yes? EU has been in a slump for a while and the USA has been at full throttle.
  3. Probably but show me the data. Still think i may be right. The USA has been on spending spree vs the EU for a decade.
  4. The USA GDP growth compared to the EU is probably comparable to the difference in total debt added since Covid. Print on baby! Why worry when your investments( home especially ) are making you wealthy - it will never end. My bro just put a house on the market for $7 mil that would have sold for 3 mil 5 years ago. Sure nobody wants to buy it because of rates but there hopefully be a cash buyer or he is screwed. Lots under the economies hood at the moment and doubt it will end well but I've been wrong for years.
  5. Context? Yep, trump may not have had much to do with low inflation but comparing the USA to the rest of the world after the financial crisis is hard. The USA had a minor cold and was off to the races in no time and much of the rest world really never recovered, hence the low inflation.
  6. So when was it good? It is a mess at the moment but IMO it is a good place versus past decades. Not perfect but by all measurements, minus subjective ones, the USA is a much more productive and wealthy nation than 100 years ago. My worry is the debt but that was the case 10 years ago when it was tiny in comparison. Maybe the answer is to just print more money and all will be peaches forever.
  7. Think many feel the same as you. Don't you think Trump behaved better than usual. Maybe Trump felt sorry for him if he even has the capacity. I think I will be voting for Trump. Trump's use of blush has definitely improved. I prefer the old hue for the pure entertainment value. Putting his character aside, I hope I'm as sharp as Trump at his age.
  8. He doesn't and is just one of those that like using the racist card when it fits his weird story going on in his head. Lots of angry posts from khun BangkokReady.
  9. Good memory and like I said, I enjoy your posts. Cheers
  10. There were many fruitarians in Chang Mai that were very soft and in miserable shape. It's calories in and calories out for 99% of us and the things you listed above take a huge energy expenditure to get to a zero balance. It is that simple IMO. If your metabolically a mess from years of abuse then you are kind of screwed regardless and can blame genetics, illnesses, etc. The truth is hard to face and definitely respect those that are out of shape that gracefully accept their fate and don't blame silly things.
  11. Yuck, I try to never touch the rim. The glass was probably already quite dirty considering where most are washed here and then putting my dirty paws on the rim is avoided if at all possible. Off topic - how do people chew their fingernails knowing the bacteria they are digesting. Putting the dirtiest part of your own body in your mouth is disgusting.
  12. I don't like ice also which is added regardless. I just drink out of the bottle which is probably cleaner anyhow. Minor inconvenience and I prefer the feel of the bottle touching my lips ( yep- that sounds gay ). Now if it is a premium frothy beer served in a large mug then that is even better but I don't frequent those type of higher class establishments. I'm a grunt and when out on the town the taste of the beer is really of little consequence.
  13. Thailand has changed! Been here, minus a handful of years, since 1998. Tourism grew at least 10x, no parking spaces, Thais have much more money, and we are not too interesting anymore. If we are around, they deal with us and if we aren't it is probably better in many Thais opinions. Still my preferred place to live but I do miss the good ole days.
  14. Love your posts - really. Please explain the above in little more detail. I just can't get up to your level.
  15. Funny, you overusing pronouns and I think many are trying to piece together who he, she or they are. I think man stopped his car Infront of your wife and asked your wife and friend to get out. They saw a gun and refused to get out and had a conversation with the man somehow while they were in the car. Later they(the man with the gun and his wife or your wife) that works for the tessabhn( mafia?) looked at a video and apparently could see what on the camera coverage. Better than a crossword puzzle...
  16. I did the same for 30 years but now don't worry about the fat and feel great. If you exercise volume is high, then carbs are definitely OK which I do. For your average person that exercises little to none, carbs are awful if not monitored closely which most don't. carbs are deadly IMO and wreck peoples quality of life and this is coming from someone that might eat more carbs than anyone on this forum.
  17. I stay at resorts and don't live. Sorry for the confusion. I thought most would understand what I was saying but possibly not 🙂
  18. Just read the reviews and they weren't bad at all. The bad ones didn't really give specifics other than the numbers were wrong in their opinion. I have got my blood work done all over Thailand and have records going back 15 years. I would know if the numbers were fake. I have numbers that aren't normal so it would be obvious. Bangkok Hospital is a good option but takes more time (travel and the in hospital process) and IMO doesn't add any value. It does have a good rep which is something so I get your choice.
  19. Don't live in Pats but have used this clinic twice because a friend recommended. Great service and very professional. OP, spend a few hours on google starting with the question you asked here. Thousands of variable that impact you different than others here so asking for advice here is great but take a few hours and get to understand what is important. It is so easy and it makes you wonder why everybody doesn't get blood work as well as a few other tests. I myself bought a blood sugar test kit that was a couple thousand baht and had a blood pressure armband. Once you start learning how easy it is to be your own doctor and how much better it is than relying on real doctors that honestly have very limited knowledge of your situation in comparison to "you", you will feel much more of control. Important for the over 50 crowd because shtt is going to happen 100% eventually.
  20. Sorry, you're full of it. We all live here and stay at resorts. Maybe in the last week? Recreational cannabis though can be problematic but comparing it to alcohol is silly. Just watch all the drunks causing mayhem on Youtube here in Thailand. Now compare that to stoned fools. Maybe people just like filming drunks...
  21. We all have at least a little stupid in us. I'm drinking whiskey now and drank coffee from 6m -9m this morning. If my liver tests showed I had an issue I would stop immediately though. Don't understand why people don't understand that it is important to be your own doctor. It takes literally a day of googling health indicators and learning what they mean. Over a few years you will become much more knowledgeable than most experts in regards to "your" health. I have had doctors tell me the most insane things in regards to my health. Alternatively go to a doctor and have them tell you nothing important until it is blatantly obvious you are screwed. Doctor are busy and unless you have loads of money to spend on quality health care, not knowing how to determine your own health seems crazy.

  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2foYhMX8mMc ^^^ this is the issue I have with following the science. The Doc ate 100 burgers(no bread) in 10 days to prove a point. Carbs are a much bigger concern than fat! His already good blood numbers improved. I've known this for years because I get my blood numbers and other test regularly( before Covid). Now once every couple years.
  24. This^^^ Get enough protein (71 kg =120-150g )is my main concern. I let the mirror tell me if I'm I'm consuming too many carbs. I rarely step on the scale which I think is not wise but I exercise enough to get away with it. When it comes down to it, calories in has to roughly equal calories out every week. I get some have metabolic issues but most don't until they wreck their metabolism or even more rare, are genetically challenged. IMO, our society has created countless reason why it isn't an unhealthy persons fault that he/she is a physical mess. Odd how 75 years there was basically no obesity. Hyper-evolution? To each his own and being unhealthy surely must have benefits other than the short lived carb rush. Have great friends that are obese and most are smarter than I(low bar).
