Pathetic!
The world is laughing at the elites and the low, low levels they have had to stoop to because their extreme unpopularity prohibits them from legitimately coming to power via elections.
It's business of the Thais, the world please stay out
The world has an interest because it does business with Thais and Thailand.
It is a global, multi-lateral connected world that we live in.
The shops and factories of multinationals in Thailand and the the jobs and wealth that they bring to Thailand give them and their parent nations a voice in this debacle.
Thailand has sought foreign investment and it has an obligation to uphold the promises and guarantees made to win those investments.
The last thing Thailand wants or needs is for the world to abandon her (for Myanma,Cambodia, Laos….)

The third PM from the Thaksin camp ousted.....doesn't that say something about Thaksins governing methods...?
3rd time unlucky.....
MostAll rational people would say it says a lot about the corrupted courts.I would also say that the third time is the last time.
The game is over for the elites and their crooked judges.
A new constitutions coming and the gerrymanders that have enabled these farces to occur shall be discarded in favour of true democratic principles that adhere to the notion of 1 man 1 vote.
The next Thai PM will leave office only when he / she loses an election - not as a result of corrupt old men subverting the will of the people.
Happy Days are coming
Hope you're right......although, since Thaksin came to power, there has been ongoing turmoil......hopefully, he and his cronies have learnt from it all.
Is that possible....??
The turmoil originates from the other side.
The country was controlled for decades by an unelected military - elite network.
The devastating effects of the financial crisis of the late 1990's loosed their stranglehold over the nation and its people just long enough for the 1997 constitution to slip through.
It is this constitution that ended their dictatorship and gave birth to Thaksin.
Thaksin is not pure, but in his defence - nobody can swim in the filthy swamp of Thai politics and remain clean.
He was cleaner than all who preceded him and he will be cleaner than any unelected clowns that may follow him.
The turmoil ends when those that once oppressed the nation and its poor accept that those days are over and democracy is here to stay.
Thai corruption will come under control when those same people put their energies and focus into being a good opposition and holding the government accountable in parliament instead of trying to find illegal shortcuts to power and the nations expense.

Are there legal consequences for "illegal" behavior in this case?
No.
The objective wasn't to punish a crime - because their was none.
The objective was to remove a Prime Minister, regardless of the laws of the land.
That's what the bought, crooked and corrupt judges have done
There will be no punitive consequences for Yingluck, only for the majority of Thais who elected her.

America has there own reasons and interest in keeping a certain group in Thailand in Power
America has a real interest in keeping Thailand aligned with the Democracies of the world.
All good people are like minded in this matter.
Only the greedy, bigoted, prejudiced, selfish few want to deny Thailand her democracy.

"We continue to urge all sides to resolve Thailand's political tensions in a peaceful and democratic manner so that the Thai people can choose political leadership they deserve," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
A real kick in the nuts for the elites by Uncle Sam.
Their jig is up and PTP and Democracy has won the day.

3 duly elected Prime Ministers sacked by an incestuous unelected elite appointed judiciary.
The final time of reckoning is upon Thailand.
Who owns the country?
The masses or the elites?
The choices are stark.
One road leads to a free and open society with a flourishing economy and equality for all.
And the other?
Aparthied, dictatorship, oppression, censorship, injustice, international pariah status, economic doom and national misery.
It's clear to see why this only ends one way and the victors can only be the Reds.

Interestingly enough, none fundament their "expert" opinion citing any facts or arguments.
The idiocy of the situation is self evident

She was selected by Thaksin to be his clone. That was her problem. She was first and foremost not in government to do the job she was supposed to do, but rather to carry out the interests of an unelected wanted criminal. Guilty on a sample charge of fiddling appointments in the family interest. This won't be the first time she has been used by Thaksin for corruption in the family interest, Clone is as clone does. Wow!WOW!!!
It always amazes me the amount of Farang that support the PDRC aka yellow shirts in Thailand since most if not all Farang countries are democracries. Do you ever take into consideration the simple and honest fact that Yingluck was ELECTED PM by the majority of Thai people and was run out of office by a minority of people???
Are you all in favor of over throwing democratically elected officials if you don't agree with their policies?? If you do I suggest you go home and do that with your native government instead of siding with a bunch of people who say that poor persons are too stupid to vote and anyone without a bachelors degree should have no say in who is prime minister....Or maybe that's why you've come to Thailand in the first place, you know to keep those young thai whores in the hole.
Don't worry though because the PDRC and Wealthy Thais have no need for Farangs like the poor working class does. Enjoy it while it last. Continue to watch Blue Sky television instead of any free media that shows the MAJORITY of Thais not even including red shirts that want a DEMOCRATIC country.
She was elected by the Thai people.
Her party won 53% of the seats in the 2011 election with her as the leader.
She was not elected---------------------------she was placed in the job. her party did not have 53%. no porkies please. try not to look a nit.
Speaking of looking a nit…..
265/500 = 53%
nit!

Yippiyyaaaaaaaai Kiiiiiiiyaaaaaa!
Sums up my feelings when I heard the news on the BBC World news precisely!!!
Well predicted, short lived pyrrhic victory.
I guess a celebration can't be begrudged to the Yellows after 6 months of failures in the streets.
(Not to mention not winning an election this millennium)
What's really been achieved?
We still have a PTP Caretaker PM, Suthep's 11 final battles have all come to naught and his unruly mob has dwindled to a few murderous thugs and a handful of grannies.
Thaksin still reigns a top Thai politics
Enjoy the delusion of victory whilst you can, reality shall shortly be intruding.

I think we should all spare a thought for the now disgraced ex-caretaker Prime Minister. Loss of face is a terrible thing in Thailand and all decent hearted people will feel sorry for her sad predicament. Obviously she has more criminal charges pending but maybe in the meantime her brother can find her another job in one of his enterprises somewhere.
At least she is surrounded by plenty of other family members who share the experience and shame of being found guilty in the courts and hopefully that will be a comfort at this difficult time.
Their is no disgrace is being the victim of an unjust and corrupted legal system.
History will be very, very kind to Miss Yingluck.
She did a fantastic job for her nation, her people, her party, her family and for all women of the world.
How history records the antics and crimes of the judges handing down these ridiculous verdicts is another matter entirely.
The current contempt they are held in by their international peers is just the beginning of what awaits these stooges.
Bravo and Encore sweet lady and Champion of Democracy
You have been brilliant (and will most likely be again after the thugs are dealt with)
Time for others to bare the heavy burden you have born on your strong yet delicate shoulders for so long.
There will be statues made - of this there is no doubt.
"History is written by the victors." W Churchill.
Losers go down as criminals and sinners, never more accurately so as in this case.
You are indeed correct.
History is written by the winners.
However, you err in your assumption of who the winners will be
Only the Reds can win this fight.
They are the overwhelming majority inside Thailand and have both the international community and right on their side
The only things that remain in doubt are:
how many must die in this futile yellow offence.
how much money must be lost by the nation
and
how long the inevitable Red victory will take to achieve.
So yes, in this case, the accuracy of the documenting of the losers sins and crimes in the history books will be exceedingly accurate (and appropriate)

Booted out and she still lies through her teeth!
"Tried to tackle corruption all along..."
Oh please!
Undemocratically and corruptly booted out.
PTP have played it very well.
They have done nothing that will produce even the slightest criticism from the international community.
Going so far as to obey every ridiculous and farcical ruling of the ridiculous and farcical elite backed corrupted courts
PTP are the good guys in this debacle and will receive all of the international support.
Thailand has no choice but to hold elections ASAP.
The Reds will win and the Yellows will be consigned to the history books.

For Thaksin and his hard-line followers the objective has never merely been elections but rather total State Power which he has regularly but continuously failed at achieving. Same old propaganda though: money laundering masquerading as liberation.
Reds will win the next election in a landslide because they united and improved the lives of the great majority of Thais to the chagrin of a selfish and greedy anti-democratic few.Som nam na Yingluk.
You raped and divided the country now pay the price.
A great day for Thailand and the Thai people.
This is the expected and predicted high water mark for the coup-mongers.
It's all downhill from here for the geriatric meddling retired generals, the plutocrats, the Democrats and Suthep and his paid thugs.
(Abhisit barely rates a mention such is his irrelevance nowadays)
The struggle that began in 1932 is finally coming to a just conclusion.
It's now RED TIME in Thailand
Baseless.
The only reason Thaksin has come close to achieving total power is because the Democrats are so inadequate and so disliked by the majority of Thais.
All Thaksin has ever tried to achieve is to alleviate the misery and poverty of a great many Thais.
Read the book "Conversations with Thaksin - Giants of Asia" to get a better understanding of the man.
He's no saint - but he is the best thing Thailands' got going for it right now and he is most likely the best thing the poor of Thailand have ever had going for them.
Whether it is Thaksin, a Thaksin proxy or some other like minded individual arrives on the scene - the poor have been awaken to the true power they wield via the ballot box and will never again allow the exploitation and oppression of the past to be revisited upon them by a greedy few.
The Democrats, the Plutocrats, the retired Generals and the Yellow shirted street thugs will never again illegally gain power.
It's over for them.

But to deny citizens a vote is anti-democratic. End of.
True.
But equally, to assume that a popular mandate gives you the right to do anything you please in government, including embezzling $10billion+ of the people's money in a so-called rice pledging scheme, is also anti-democratic.
Neither of the two sides understands how democracy should work. Worse, neither side cares.
You're accusations are unproven.
Where are the PTP convictions for corruption
Where are the statistical spikes in global rankings indicating increased corruption under PTP.
Nada, Nil, Zip, Zilch, Zero
Baseless rumours and slander is all you got - which is effectively nothing.
You and your kind are the sort of bozos the Nigerian email scammers love to get in touch with.
Gullible, ignorant and intellectually inadequate.
You all somehow think that your prejudices, bigotry and biased ill-conceived opinions somehow trump facts, reason and logic.
They don't!
Thais will vote again, Reds will win again - the last 6 months were nothing but an expensive and inconvenient waste of time for all.
Thailands' immediate future will be guided by Thaksin and his proxies not 300 year old diaper wearing failed dictators and generals
The people own the country now.

interesting that the cabinet can appoint a PM
They are the only remaining members of the lower house - anyone else would be anti-democratic.
-
Let's say she is relieved of her position. What do they hope to achieve by marching on Bangkok? Are they just looking for a fight? And are the military going to then get involved?
What silly questions you pose.
Let's say the PTP try to pass an unacceptable amnesty bill, what do the PDRC hope to achieve by marching on Bangkok? Are they just looking for a fight?…….

Irresponsible encouraging people to buy cars on credit when they probably cant afford them. Many reasons why it was a stupid idea. Very few reasons why it was a good idea. If you want to help people, encourage them to buy a home; a much better idea.
You need to attend a few courses in logic.
How on earth is it logical to suggest that people who can't afford cars without using dodgy credit should instead be encouraged to buy houses.
Last I check the average car was slightly less expensive than the average house.
-
Another failed scheme coming to a close.
Imagine a country like Thailand that has some of the worst traffic jams in the world and the PTP introduce a scheme with the incentive being that people switch from motorbikes to cars and a measure to boost car sales.
The only successful part of this scheme is that not one person committed suicide while waiting on the money promised by the PTP that did not arrive.
Your ignorance is again on show here.
Thailand has a massive car assembly industry - the scheme in effect subsidises that industries workforce by increasing demand for their product - win.
In addition the scheme also shows the Japanese (Toyota) and others that the Thai government seriously supports them and it is likely to help win more direct foreign investment for Thailand - another big win.
The scheme also stimulates the economy in general with all the extra financial circulation it creates - win, win, win.
Many countries have introduced similar schemes (cash for clunkers)
This is exactly the sort of thing good governments do.
-
all of the cabinet removed - airports locked down to stop cabinet doing a runner - senate elects new PM - current cabinet plus DSI and police heads under house arrest - redshirt leaders arrested - team investigates were the Thai peoples billions have gone - jail time for those involved - army steps in to maintain order - reforms take place including massive reform of the police.................
None of this will happen.
As soon as the first item is attempted (removal of the cabinet) all hell is going to break loose.
The anti-democrats simply cannot win.
The only questions how many people are they willing to kill before they accept their inevitable defeat.

Better than all the garbage from The Nation.
Everything…….every…single….thing that the Pundit writer is supported by facts and links.
The Nation has a lot to learn from this journalist (as do the TVF yellows).

US urges new elections in Thailand
in Thailand News
Posted
Should it not be
Referendum
Reforms
Elections
Why do you seek to deny the people a say in what reforms they will be subjected to?
The overwhelming majority want nothing to do with Suthep and his crap.
Could it be that holding a referendum is exactly the same as holding and election because the PTP will win both.
The last thing the coup-mongers want is for a referendum on returning the Senate to a fully elected body because it would pass and they would all be dead as ducks without their incestuously appointed cronies to do their corrupt dirty work for them.
