  1. Some great advice here,thanks.

Bought the Saw Palmetto, straight from the "off" I will give it a shot, but sometimes I wonder if it is mind over matter. Times I have just opened the door coming in from outside and the urge to pee overcomes, just at that point ,just when so close to the pan too,why not half hour before?

I do not need any encouragement for an erection, like the Rock of Gibralter as I wake and stays all day too, until relief at 700 baht a go,defying nature, could shag a barbers floor any time of the day or night the way I feel, must be the heat, or the size of the prostate, anyway thats me.

Will be investigating that uroflow method though

  2. Here is some interesting reading about this problem.

But, IT IS NOT INTENDED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.

this information does not replace the advice of your physician or other health care provider. Before undertaking any course of treatment, the reader must seek the advice of their physician or other health care provider.

The article on the Dailymail >>> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2470412/Alternative-treatment-shrinks-enlarged-prostate-using-second-blast-steam.html

You probably are outside of Thailand or using a VPN. Daily Mail is blocked at the moment in Thailand, I read it on Kindle

  3. You do understand that prostate surgery will most likely leave you impotent.

    Thinking about this too.

I take Thyroid, and Statins ,do not want to take any more, that is why I am looking for a permanent fix.

No point in being in Thailand excepting bashing the bishop on a frequency that at my advancing years surprises even me. I am here all on my lonesome, got great pensions,do not play golf or smoke so my only vice is ...vice.

Have to give it some thought though, but I like getting checked out medically wise in India,it is a great place for any procedures

  4. Apple or pear cider try this,

Pint or two pint glass jug, get a bottle or two of that white wine from 7/11( most Thai drunks drink it as it its damned cheap) top it up with fizzy water or soda water ,empty apple or pear juice (thats cheap too ) into it all ,finish off with few ice chunks ,hot afternoon it goes down a treat

Short time rooms would be an added bonus

  5. I know the UKs Daily Mail is banned at the moment in Thailand, but I have it on Kindle.

Opened the paper today and there it was "UROLIFT" new surgical procedure, seems a good alternative to past surgical procedures, just

learn a bit more about it before commiting.

  6. From Morchit bus station to Pattaya, there are two routes , one through Chonburi town ,slow and one using motorway fast. Two going out of Morchit other week virtually same time, wish I had gotten on the fast one, took 3 hours to get to Pattaya

  7. There are several different types of medication which can be used for this, should have the advice of an experienced urologist.

Surgery for benign enlargement of prostate should not be considered unless management with medication alone failed.

I would urge you to see a urologist and try medical management first before going to India for surgery. Dr. Viroj at Bumrungrad and Dr. Thanoo at Samitivej are both recommended.

    Thanks Sheryl,

My prostate is not big it is huge, had it "weighed " by ultrasound, felt by a finger up the ass,and a camera shoved up too (that hurt),in India, not much cost either

There is a new procedure I looked at a few weeks ago being introduced, something about a "lift" was going to see if that is a procedure that they have perfected there .

Thanks for advice Sheryl ,getting old is a swine, the body likened to a machine ,things going wrong. I will try drugs first, but will be going to India if surgery required

  8. Flomax, perhaps?.. There might and probably is a Thai equivalent.

India? Surgery? Have you ever been there? I had the opportunity to work there for four years and nothing I saw instilled any measure of confidence in hygiene, which would be high on my list of requirements for people that would have there fingers on my insides.. Will listen to arguments of the contrary.

Thanks for advice,I will try the Palmetto first.

India? what to say,yep been there many times for knee ops, investigations etc, everything from hearing aids, laser eye surgery so so good, not that Im into the last two yet,but comparing prices here and there I will be off there if and when.

India can be and is a dump, but hospital/medical care is second to none

  9. Have enlarged prostate, had it checked out and no cancer, but the flow is now getting obstructed. Am going over to India to have surgery primarily as excellent reports from there and cost too , have to wait until October when visa on arrival starts

There is medicine I can take to overcome the problem in short term, but does anybody know the name of the drug?

    Thanks

  10. Pattaya is exactly the same as it was pre coup/curfew with the exception you are now assigned a military person to supervise your visits to the toilet.

    Also three to a bed

,...helping the supervision and management process that the military reconciliation panel are implementing

  11. Hi,

  12. Only problem with BKK for the bus back to Pattaya is they can get booked solid for a couple of hours ahead, better to take that 30 baht shuttle bus from DM (think the A1) to Morchit bus station then to Pattaya, or taxi to Morchit (about 100 baht) then Pattaya bus...or Victory monument get the van

  13. My girls Son is same age and same attitude. He stays with his Grandmother not with us. He was supposed to go live with his Dad but refused.

Problem is he has not had a Dad in his life to discipline when required and he wont go to his Dads as he knows he cant just do as he pleases as with his Mother and Grand mother.

I wouldnt take a kid on like that especially if you dont have the Mothers FULL support.

If i were in your position i would just load up my truck and drive off into the sunset.

Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

he wont go to his Dads as he knows he cant just do as he pleases as with his Mother and Grand mother.

Why should he go, the kid has already sussed out where he is on the totem pole of Thai society and upbringing.

The Thai father wouldnt stand for such nonsense so why should the farang?

Me thinks the farang love her mak mak.

    Pack up and leave.

For all others reading this, DO NOT get involved with a Thai woman with a male child in tow.

Right, do not get involved with any of them period, just a domestic servant ,well paid one, but a servant.

  14. Malaysia and Thailand was once a united country called Siam

Bless my cotton newbie socks, you learn something new everyday.

"contextual information" for sure, why exclude the start and finish?

Hope those cotton socks are given a good washing, can stink in this heat. Can feel a mature student sort of thing developing

  15. Thailand is likened to a train crash about to happen throughout the western world (and probably the rest) it is recognised as a lawless quagmire, but it will implode under its own inertia

Hard to imagine Malaysia and Thailand was once a united country called Siam, so far apart, little co-operation,and so so different

  16. Thanks everybody for the comments, the pup gets delivered today to her new home, a lucky one to have been saved and given a home.

Dogs young and old dumped at the local temple , heartbreaking to see, just wandering outside the Wat gates onto the road and being killed,... as I write three really beautiful pups, maybe 8 weeks old, dumped few days ago, just waiting for the accident to happen , I move them further inside the temple grounds as I see them to no avail,if anybody else can help save any of them, please stop at gates of the temple Soi 9 Pattaya Klang off off Third Rd and pick one up,two black ones ,one brown one, really healthy looking too

Spaying is the answer,I get as many done as I can, even sat in with the vets assistant a while ago as she operates on them, she wanted to train me up to do it too,but my fingers are not supple enough to cut and stitch

Just feel so sorry for them all, given an option none of them would choose to have been born, death must be a welcome relief for many of them

  17. Very cute, good on you , let's hope she finds new home fast.

I can help financially if needs be , but can not take her, have 15 already and the last one as I mentioned is disabled.

    Will ask around as well

Thanks anyway,no help needed financially, just the vets bills can be a bit steep, but the ones I use knock a third off usually as they know all are Soi dogs

I get chicken carcasses from Big C ,put them in a bucket with cheap rice, boil it up for an hour or so,some salt and squirt Thai cooking sauce into it,watch it go down, about 25 dogs a day (at least) get fed

No pain killers thanks, she is going along OK,when she yelps I know where it hurts,so ease her a bit more

No probs. I may have someone who will take her, discussing it now.

What area are you in to come see her?

Near Pattaya Klang , I will send PM with telephone number Thanks

  20. Couple of pics, was a case of watch and wait with the vets, was night time, and awaited the following morning Would have had her put to sleep if permanent damage, but she is recovering,no swinging legs, can walk short distances, getting stronger as the pain subsisides. Looks a bit like a fox, loyal dog and house trained too by her habits

    Make a good pet

The budget only goes so far, taking yet another Soi dog for spaying in an hours time,500 baht at govt vet. No need for x-ray this time,if she had not recovered, would have let the vet make final decision if she would have walked again, then would have PTS She is OK though ,no lasting damage

  21. Unconsious left for dead at side of the road, took it in with suspected broken spine, was going to have it put to sleep following morning if that was the case, but came to

Few days later and no spinal damage, hobbling around though, still with some pain, but will make full recovery. Nice mutt, clever and loyal, about 12 weeks old,but I look after a ton of dogs, and looking for a good home.

Do not know if boy or girl, but will have it spayed for anyone that takes it in. Just one of the dozens that are dumped by the temple in Soi 9 Pattaya Klang. All good looking ones ,good markings, mostly youngsters and most have been spayed.

Anyone interested please PM me and take a look
