  1. You can return same day, but perhaps your Mother may want to stay one night for a rest. You shouldn't have a problem on re-entry at any.

  3. 😭 Cry me a river, my report has just been rejected. 🤣 Incorrect entry date upon entry into the kingdom/ Incorrect visa expiration date. My extension expiry date (which is what they mean, and I've entered numerous times before) isn't a required field anyway, so should never be rejected for that reason. I obtained a new passport last year and had stamps transferred to new passport. I have made a successful online report since then. Just double-checking my details and I note when they transferred the stamps the IO has put the wrong entry date. That then beggars the question of why was my previous online application accepted. I know my date of entry from memory without checking.
  4. Then you entered other incorrect details. Did you use the 'search' function where applicable to select your details? Did you select the 'calendar' to enter dates? I submitted mine 90 day online yesterday following that method which I've always used, accepted, now pending. Try resubmitting.
  5. Chinese nationals can now enter visa exempt (without a visa). Exit and re-enter Thailand, either by land or air, and you will be granted a stay of 30 days. This can be extended by a further 30 days at Immigration.
  6. It's not a visa, it's a permit of stay. The stamp reads 'extension of stay permitted up to ....................' It's that date you enter.

  10. You can request the Bangkok bank Ranong bank transfer your account from Phuket to Ranong. If you leave the account in Phuket, you'll incur 'out of province' charges each time you withdraw from an ATM.
  11. @glegolo18 If it's your intention to use the combo method, I suggest you confirm with Chaiyaphum their interpretation of the funds part of the combo. For the income part, whether you use monthly overseas transfers or an Embassy Income letter is immaterial, as both are acceptable. These ambiguously written clauses are interpreted differently by various IO's regarding the funds in the bank part. I've read of expats using 200K funds in the bank and the remaining 600K evidenced by proof of income. Clause 5 suggests funds and income must total 800K, then 3 months after the extension is granted you can withdraw funds under the same condition as stated in (4). However, (4) refers to withdrawing half of 800K and the remaining balance must be no less than 400K. My IO's interpretation of those clauses is that if using the combo method, you must maintain no less than a funds balance of 400K throughout the year. Check Chaiyaphum interpretation about the funds part. i.e. If you're using 400K as the funds part, can you withdraw half (200K) 3 months after the extension is granted, or do you have to maintain a minimum balance of 400K.

  17. There is no 'retirement visa', you obtain a Non Imm O visa for the purpose of retirement. That permits a stay of 90 days, but you can apply to extend your stay for a further 365 days (commonly known as an extension of stay) subject to meeting the financial requirements. You must have Non Immigrant status to apply for 1 year extensions of stay. You cannot apply for a 1-year extension if you entered on a Tourist visa because your Immigration status is 'tourist' and not 'Non Immigrant'. Re medical concerns, there are Government hospitals, private hospitals and private clinics. You can either take out a Health Insurance policy or prefer to self insure. Private hospitals can be very expensive, up to 5 x the cost of government hospitals. Your experience suggests you went to a local district government hospital. Find out where the Provincial government hospital is, practically all the doctors speak English there. Doctors are invariably contracted to work xx hours in a private hospital, and xx hours in a government hospital. Many also run their own private clinics.
  18. @Red Phoenix Suffice to say, it really depends on whether CW check his previous financial method used for his current extension. My own experience is that the 12 x 65K overseas transfers have been accepted with no check on which method was previously used. But by the letter of Immigration orders, he hasn't met the conditions for the extension he currently has, in that he didn't maintain a balance of 800K for 3 months after the extension was granted, but will they check is the question?

  20. The purpose of the Non Imm O ME has been abused for years to allow foreigners to literally remain in Thailand with a few border runs. Savannahket until recently were the last to require proof of finances, though. In most instances, you needed to apply from a Thai Embassy where you were a citizen or residency, so proof of funds came from your foreign bank account. Savannahket, Lao, allow both non-citizens and residents to apply but could hardly request funds in a Lao bank. They have always been the exception to the rule. Only proof of a marriage certificate, copies of wife's Tabien Baan and ID card have been enough to secure a Non Imm O ME from Thai Embassies, without proof the relationship is dejure and defacto, so it's open to abuse if you were previously married, divorced, but still retained copies of the above documents. I don't see how you're disadvantaged, unless you were one of those mentioned above, previously married, divorced, but still retained the required documents, but now they've thrown a further obstacle of requiring 400K THB in a Thai bank that you really don't want to do.   21. What is your point exactly! You're complaining about the financial requirements for the Non Imm O ME visa from Savannahket, for what reason.
  22. You now require 400K THB in a Thai bank account for 2 months for the Non Imm O ME from Savannahket. You can apply for a 60-day extension to visit a Thai spouse at Immigration.

If you enter on a Non Imm O visa, and have a Thai bank account with 800K THB already deposited, you can apply for the 1-year extension of stay after 45 days at most Immigration offices, 60 days at others. To clarify, the MFA are responsible for the Thai Embassies/Consulates that issue visas. Thai Immigration are responsible for extensions of stay, which are permits, not visas.
  24. Just because it isn't listed doesn't mean they don't offer it. The Non Imm O ME based on Thai spouse isn't listed, but available. You require 800K THB in a Thai bank account for the Non O ME based on retirement. The same financial requirement as for the 1-year extension of stay at Immigration.
  25. No, it's not income based. The business tax is based on the floor area size of the premises. The signage tax is based on how many and what area any advertising signage is displayed.
