  1. Would love to, but what goes where? it is all in Thai. i tried and filled in what I thought was correct, but it was rejected.

I just looked at it & the top portion was in English, the bottom half is in Thai. It's pretty simple. Just fill in the form on the right & click the big honking "Submit Button" below it.

32 people have signed it in the last 10 minutes or so.

I just went on the site again and the box in red you fill in is all in Thai. Why have this box in Thai or is that who you are targeting to sign?

I think there is a drop down menu you get by clicking in the bottom right corner. No idea why it's in Thai, but maybe lots of Thais are signing up

Cannot get English. I'm using a tablet computer. Got my Thai wife to translate and after 10 minutes just gave up. Want to sign but finding it way to difficult and by the sounds of it others are having the same problems.

    1st box = 1st name

    2nd box - surname

    3rd box = e-mail address

    4th box = current city

If currently living/staying in Thailand, uncheck little box above big red button

    HIT BIG RED BUTTON

  2. UK Rules--you often suggest that the UK Government 'should' do XYZ--but, as we all know, this is very unlikely--Cameron has enough on his plate with ISIS, UKIP, and other anagrams and really--does he have the balls? The UK Police are about as likely to get involved as Deputy Dawg.

Having said that, the silence from everyone close to the case in the UK is soooooo deafening. Hannahs friends, Davids friends, Sean Mcanna. (stab wound in his arm same as the stab wound in davids neck) It cant be a coincidence. I've witnessed it happen with other people upon landing at Heathrow. I would imagine they were all met at the airport getting off the plane and questioned. They've probably been told to not discuss anything with anyone as behind the scenes they are indeed conducting their own investigations. Does Cameron have the balls? Just because the British elite are reserved and have manners, don't think for a minute the authorities are gonna be trod over by anyone. Our security forces are world class professionals. And to add... the murdered kids parents ...if they have been told the truth by people close to them....dont be suprised if they are arranging their own repercussions. I know would be.

  3. Jumping line.... we do not exist, that is pure bullshit from people that dont understand a shit about their surroundings... Havent you noticed..... They jump the line on their own as much as they do it on us...... THEY DO NOT HAVE LINES/QUES HERE IN THAILAND.,....

    Glegolo.

Go to any bank or Post Office & you will find a queuing system, you go to a machine, press a button, take a number ticket, then sit & wait for your number to be called. Thai's KNOW about this system & use it accordingly, they don't go around asking to change tickets with other people. All other types of queue jumping is just pure ignorance from the Thai's....maybe one day they will learn manners, but I can't see that happening while I'm still breathing

  4. This guy should thank his lucky stars he's still alive, re: last sentence in this article

    FUGITIVE CAUGHT IN PATTAYA

Pattaya police were called out on the evening of Sunday, 5th October, to Soi Buakhao in South Pattaya to attend to an attack made on a British expat by a car park attendant. At the scene behind the Bangkok Bank branch, the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Volunteers were giving Mr. John Hayard first aid after he had been attacked by the attendant with a wooden stick. He was then transferred to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for a check up. Apparently, the 70 year old man parked his car in the makeshift car park and was approached by the 19 year old attendant to pay 40 baht. For some reason, they had an argument, leading to the attendant picking up the stick and hitting the Brit and then running away. Some time later, a group of men handed over 19 year old Tosapon after they chased and caught him running away from the scene. It wasn’t long before police records revealed that the young man had 7 criminal records and was wanted in nearby Chachoengsao province for attempted murder. He was detained awaiting legal proceedings.

  5. The real reason why this guy was so wanted back in Russia was not just because of a small time theft, this guy is a nasty piece of work & hopefully Thailand will blacklist him for life....

"Police revealed that he tried to bribe them with 700,000 baht, but to no avail, as he was taken into custody and will be transferred to Bangkok to be deported back to Russia to face charges of assault and robbery."

  6. Does it sound like the kids who were attempting to escape may have left some key details out of their story ?

Please read the whole post before jumping to conclusions

"Pol.Lt.Anupong said that the man who asked the teenagers might be a volunteer police officer. However they didn’t stop because he wasn’t wearing a uniform so why should they stop. The police are now hunting the shooter so he can be prosecuted further according to Thai law."

  7. You will have to pay for a Lao visa on arrival. It will be 1500 baht or $35 dependent on which country you are from.

You will have to spend at least one night to get your visa. You apply the morning of one day and pick it up the next afternoon.

There are no other charges at the embassy other than the 2000 baht for the visa.

Thanks a lot for this information. Exactly what I wanted to know!

I went to Vientiane from Chiang Mai last month to get an ED visa. It was very cheap to get a one-way ticket from Immigration to get into Laos. Being a Malaysian, it cost like THB48 each way. There we took a bus, which cost THB20 so the cost of getting into Laos at the border was less than THB70.

Our Thai friend made arrangements with a tour agent in Vientiane who took us to our hotel, then the next morning to the Thai Consulate and back to the border the next day, and it cost us THB2,000. That may be costly but it was the best option we had compared to dealing with strangers.

My wife and I were at the consulate at 6:45 to try and get ahead of the queue but across the road from the consulate, there was a booth and we were told they would get everything done for us for THB2,000 each. I refused and he brought it down to THB1,000 each.

Knowing how tedious the wait is at immigration, I agreed. He took our documents and our driver took us back to our hotel. We were back there by 7:15. That was all we needed to do. The next day, our driver took us to the booth where we collected our passports and visas, and we were off to the border. No hassle.

If money is not an issue, I would use this option as you only spend 5 minutes letting the agents check to make sure your documents are in order. In my opinion, THB1,000 may be a lot but spending a few hours idling in queues is not my idea of fun.

If you want the person's contact, please PM me or you could just go to the booth and ask for Ton. I don't know him personally so I suggest you trust your gut when you deal with him.

Hope all goes well for you.

    Ken

As for this 'agent' you used, remember that your passport is NOT your property, it belongs to the country that issued it to you, NEVER give a stranger outside of any embassy your passport!

  8. It's incredible how people who know nothing about the case have such strong opinions.

It's a terrible thing to be accused of such a thing as murder and rape. This kid deserves to be treated as innocent unless there is some real evidence to suggest he is involved.

Don't start that "if he's done nothing then he's got nothing to fear" crap, evidence can get messed up in both directions.

I wouldn't want the police taking my DNA sample for fear that it would end up getting contaminated in some way. The accused should NOT give his DNA unless ordered by a court to do so in my opinion.

Even in so called civilized countries people get convicted of crimes they never were involved in and forensic evidence gets mixed up, just look at the mess made of the OJ Simpson case.

Are you for real? This scrawny looking 'kid' has a striking resemblance to that of the 'scrawny looking' person captured on the CCTV on the night of the double murders, THAT alone should be enough to warrant him being DNA test, if only to clear his name

  9. Meanwhile the locals are openly mocking this savage double murder / rape. It's all just a joke to them.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/401913/Holiday-Brit-murders-mocked-Thai-social-media-police-investigation

Before you hit the Enter button to post your stupid unfounded remarks, try reading the whole article that the Daily Star printed, it actually says that the local's on Ko Tao are mocking the police investigation, not the actual murders

  10. "Somdech told the police, “At first I was just going to take her to the hotel. But I saw she was very drunk, so I decided to take her to my room first so she could rest.

“Once we were in the room, she was very pretty and I could not control my emotions,” he added."

This is what the PM was talking about in his original comment about western women coming to Thailand. Its strange that such a comment is made and filtered back into the press. I just think it is very disturbing.

Poor women, she now has to wait three months to have a HIV test.

Are you really that clueless? HIV tests can be done in/on the same day, even in Thailand....

  11. I thought the Police were going to tighten up on these leaks to the Press.

Could make a good defense, a crazy farang killed the couple and then two Asians only assaulted the dead female victim.

That way they are not charged with a brutal murder but still serve time since their DNA was found in the semen they left behind.

Could make a good defense to an audience that wants to believe...

Plus it plays into the Thai prejudice against farang that is only rivaled by the farang prejudice against Thai seen on this TV forum the past 12 days.

    Necrophilia?

No, surely not. That would be worse than the murder itself to a Thai. Wouldn't it? blink.png

More Flying pig stories from the RTP in this story, methinks. laugh.png

Yep, the RTP think we farangs are as daft as ............

    .........they are!!!!

this person in the black t shirt looks the same person put on the facebook pages and another newspaper we cant quote . this is dated 16 sept 14

Is this villiage headman with the gloves on at the crime also ?

Hard to tell with the grainy imagery, look at the hairline though, the contour of it and shape.

And why is there a bandage on his left hand? Recent wounds from beating somebodies face in?

  13. Give this guy, Narinda (an Indian friend of my father located in Bangkok), a call 0066 819288656, tell him what you want (he can do both 18k & Thai gold) & I'm sure he will give you a very reasonable price. Congratz by the way clap2.gif

If anyone is going to contact this fella Narindra, please PM me first.

    -gb33

For what reason would people need to PM you first? Do you personally know 'this fellow Narinda'?

  14. The bank recently opened currency exchange booths at both the arrival and departure zones of Don Mueang International Airport.

Anyone know if the Kasikorn exchange rate at Don Mueang is the same as elsewhere in Thailand?

Kasikorn does not seem to be at Swampy but the banks that are offer very poor exchange rates.

ALL banks & money exchange booths at ALL International airports offer very poor exchange rates, they see it as your last chance before you board, so try to get as much profit out of you as they can

  15. Regarding the cigarettes (mentioned in all the threads) ...is it not possible, that they have nothing to do with the killer(s)?

There seems to be an assumption that the killer was a smoker and these were his cigs ...on a public beach where it seems tons of people may hang out and smoke and leave butts behind.

If they found a beer bottle on the beach, would they assume it was the killer's also?

"The semen DNA matched DNA found on the butt of an LM cigarette found beside a rock 30-50 metres from the crime scene …."
