  1. Let's hope there's more genuine evidence than ' seen strolling near the scene ', I presume if it's him he was strolling before and not after the crime.

They have found a bloodstain on his clothes but wasn't he already interviewed and allowed to go and the stain wasn't seen then ?

I'm not saying he's innocent but the BIB get everything arse for elbow and it raises doubt especially when told from the very top to get it solved ' yesterday '.

He is the one they wanted to talk to but couldn't as he had disappeared on the first ferry out after the murders had taken place.

Was it just a coincidence he left in a hurry or was he fleeing the scene............You decided

YOU seem to have already decided, how do you know he did not already have a ferry ticket to leave when he did, that doesn't make him a murderer, wait for DNA facts before you hang him please (trust it to be a Scot to 'find' an Englishman guilty)

  2. Yeah what about the motorbike gangs like the Outlaws in Bangkok? They dont count?

I saw two Hells Angles, riding in Chiang Mai, yesterday. Thailand is basically an easy country for foreign criminals to conduct business. The Thai police have never been accused of being crime fighters.

WOW!!!! You saw TWO Hell's Angels riding their big fat Hogs, and I suppose you saw they were up to no good committing some sort of crime? I very much doubt that. Most people I have known to be members of a motorcycle group/gang have been very law abiding people, who usually have legitimate jobs, I very much doubt you would know a criminal even if he was standing right next to you, please stop posting stupid comments that you know nothing about

  3. I have just been granted an extension based on marriage. I had some minor brushes with the law along time ago for silly things in the UK as an adolescent . Makes me worry a little for the next extension if this is correct, however, I'm in the north, and only 1 month ago did the extension and there was no such questions about any criminal checks..

I wonder what the implications will be, if any.....(depending on the crime and when the crime was committed)

It used to be the case in the UK that if you had any minor offenses, the slate was made clean after four years. It may still be the case.

Don't think it ever was in the first place. Google "expunged records UK".

  4. However... My best advise is to find a girl who lost her entire family in a plane or bus crash.

Gees, no way are there going to be all the sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, in laws etc etc on the same plane or bus.

You pay for the whole extended family (except you & your wife-to-be) to go on a 'nice holiday', just make sure the pilot has the only parachute cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

  5. Good to hear all the pro and con reply..

Well, i don't work 9 - 5 every day at home in Bangkok. In a week i may receive about 3 - 7 emails forwarded from my company in Malaysia. It take only few minutes to reply an email. Some email take 10 - 15 min to reply. Others email @ 30 min - 1 hour plus. So in a week my working hour is less than 10 hours in total. Is like replying a friend email with description what to do, how to do and how to solve some problems. That's all.... Easy job but need someone who know the "know how"and expertise in providing solution in my industry via email.

Only 10 hours per week. Rest of the time relax, watch TV, watch movie and spend time with playing with my 2 pet dog and wife.

I even told the immigration at Suvarnabhumi what i do and to them is not like a job at all with so much free time. So they couldn't even bother what i do or how i do as long as i don't earn money from Thai company or Thai people. They just want me to apply for appropriate VISA to Thailand. They specifically mentioned about the THB 800,000 which what they are more concern of.

I just need a solution from you guys and there was a suggestion to get VISA at Suvannakhet in Laos with showing any financial proof. I would most likely to try that out if it work. Any other suggestion or solution will be greatly appreciated.

When applying for a Non-Imm 'O' Visa you do NOT need to show any financial proof to the IO, the only time it needs to be proven is when applying for an 'Extension of Stay' at the local Immigration Office in your province prior to when said Visa is to expire, either Baht800,000 seasoned for two months in a Thai Bank Account (not Savings Account) or proof letter from your Embassy that you have monthly income equalling or greater than Baht40,000, the only difference I know of between Vientiene & Savannakhet is that Vientiene will only give you a 3 month Non-Imm 'O' Visa where as Savannakhet will issue a 12 month one

  6. So the guy pops round to the cop shop, takes some PR photos, then is released and on his way to Phuket huh? Wonder why he didn't get jailed and not allowed bail like the other Patong thugs?

Where does it say he was released ?

    >>Now I am waiting to come to Phuket.

Doesn't that sound like he was released to you?

No, that sounds like he's waiting to be transported by police escort to Phuket, stop trying to read between the lines

  7. Of the 149 from Europe I bet 130 of them are Brits smile.png

If 130 of the 149 Europeans were British, the Untied Kingdom would be 6th after China on the list provided by otherstuff1957's in his post #5, try engaging your brain a bit before opening that fat mouth of yours

So, how many foreigners are actually in Thai prisons and what countries do they come from?

I couldn't find any current numbers, but here are some statistics from 2009:

TOP 10 OF FOREIGN NATIONALS IN THAI PRISONS (2009)

    1. Myanmar (3,787)

    2. Lao (1,994)

    3. Cambodia (1,445)

    4. Malaysia (325)

    5. China (252)

    6. Singapore (115)

    7. Nigeria (94)

    8. Taiwan (91)

    9. Vietnam (85)

    10. Ghana (65)

Not many "Farangs" listed there. Here are the figures for the Farang Prisoners:

    Europe: 149

    USA: 47

    Australia: 15

  8. Hi, Worgeordie

A better way to judge whether there are fewer aliens is the crowd at immigration. By that measure, it doesn't look like the numbers are decreasing at all.

    ...................................................

    T

Immigration has always been busy and will continue to be. The bulk of business there is done by long term residents who are fully documented, with a sprinkling of extension applications. You can always run into somebody you know at immigration,

The real yard stick is to drive around and look at the incredible ammount of houses for rent that have exploded in recent months.

No wonder people have been moving out if these properties have been blowing up on their own....cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

  9. i find it funny either the taxi driver or the police always count how much cash is in the wallet instead of just look for the ID card.

Would a Chinese man have a Thai ID card in his wallet? I would think that the taxi driver would have already done that. Funny he never took it to the police & said this anoymous Chinese man left all this moolah in my Taxi!!!!!!! LOL!!!

    Re: Post #27

He is NOT a Chinese man, he is very much Thai, that just so happens to speak Chinese, so he does Tour Guides for Chinese Tourists, correct your facts before posting please....

  10. The problem here is not the dispute, it's a KTV and there are girls and booze, so Thai (Asian) men get easily "confused". The problem is that he resorted to his gun.

What are the rules for gun ownership here anyway? I think if the authorities imposed a minimum requirement of IQ of 80 and D..k size of 4 inches (since inferiority complex leads to overcompensation), then 80% of potential Thai gun owners would not qualify and therefore we wouldn't have many of these senseless killings.

I think you are exaggerating Thai d..k size somewhat, a Thai man with 4" 's?, I would put the percentage at nearer 95% who don't qualify.... wink.png

  11. What he is probably referring to is the clearway / parking restrictions which are dictated by whether the day is odd or even.

In tourist areas the signs may also have English, but not much luck of that if you're in the countryside (even in Khon Kaen I think you'd be lucky to get an English sign)

    E.g.

    nps-20140712191511.jpg

    No parking on odd days

    e3d9dcef62f038664a5c0a6684a6f43622cfb0.j

    No parking on even days

But basically when you see a clearway sign with Thai writing, the writing often means odd days or even days as per below (incase the signs were't clear).

    วันคู่ = even days

    วันคี่ = odd days

These look pretty similar, so if you can't read Thai maybe try to remember that คี่ (Khee - same pronunciation as s***) with the symbol above is odd and คู่ (Khuu) with the symbol below, is even (it actually also means pair and is the classifier for pairs, so is used frequently in Thai).

Thanks for that! Learned something useful.

Funny the wine shop has English writing as well as Thai, but the street sign just has the noodle writing.

    Got me beat.

What's an even day? What"s an odd day?

    Sunday is even or odd?

    .

I think your having an odd day at the moment.... facepalm.gif

  12. If you need steps to drive a moped, you should not be driving. wink.png

Please read the WHOLE OP before making stupid comments, moron, he wasn't asking HOW to ride a small motorcycle, only how to buy one, his exact last words were to quote

"I can ride auto or geared"

    Who is the MORON.

Did you not see the wink.png at the end? your the moron. Idiots like you, never see the funny side of anything.crazy.gif.pagespeed.ce.dzDUUqYcHZ.gif
