  1. The good General has apologised for his comments. So that is it and he would have to be one of the very few Thais not to mention Thai MP and PM that have ever apologised for anything.

Also a Country that claims to be 95% Buddhist should accept and respect the generals apology.

and really shouldn't have "enemies, frenemies, fanatics, back-stabbers, zealots, self-proclaimed centrists and mistaken pragmatists" as this goes

against the respected teachings of the Buddha.

  2. In the first place, Gen Prayuth should not and should never be the broker for talks. Like Al Capone holding a base ball bat and circling the participants. The conclusion was never in doubt and the short 4-5 hours evident that what followed the breakdown of the talk was crafted. In the first place, Gen Prayuth should not and should never be the broker for talks. The previous government has gone beyond its limit by dissolving Parliment. Rest was staged as Rubi rumored. by dissolving Parliment. Rest was staged as Rubi rumored.

The only bit that I agree with is this - ..................." The previous government has gone beyond its limit"................................

I think it was don Corleone that circled the group with a base ball bat and that was just a movie.

In reality the good general needs to make people disappear, to fix this countries wows.

  3. What a shame, Thailand has some of the most beautiful beaches, its too bad that they don't respect their environment, or take environmental policy's seriously.

    e.g.

    1. Recognise that they are working in a high value environmental area.
    2. Practice good house keeping.
    3. Report ALL spills.
    4. Don't throw or wash anything down into the drains or into the sea.
    5. Separate all waste materials and dispose of waste properly.

    Shame..

one suspects you work offshore dont you ???....cheesy.gif

you have copied all the words in 1 to 5 off a poster havent you ?....laugh.png

  5. So far, so good General Prayuth, Sir. You had to do what you had to do to pull The Kingdom back from the Abyss. Out side of some gaffes, I think he is the right man at the right time for Thailand. Although I am a Foreigner that works and resides here (American with Work Permit and Tabien Baan) I am still a guest here as are all non-Thai nationals. However, what affects the Kingdom's internal affairs has a direct effect on my business affairs externally. I am glad General and now Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha is steering the ship of state as it has brought stability back to The Kingdom in the eyes of the Global Community. IMHO.

    Well said.

Lets hope Mr P get's heavy handed and makes an example of the corrupt and colluded rabble that have plagued Thailand for way too long now.coffee1.gif

Yeah, nothing like a rule-by-decree dictatorship to set things right. I wonder why all countries don't have one. There is that hypothetical problem of how to remove the dictator if things go bad, but when has a dictatorship ever gone bad?

ey Bruce, where you goin' with that gun in your hand....I m goin' to shoot my old lady...I caught her messin' with another man.....

why get rid of him. Keep him forever. Everyone will learn to love him. Some day they may even demand those building-sized posters of dear leader that he currently shuns.

I say to heck with the people and their democracy - keep the big boss.

oh wait, that's the plan anyway, whew, I was so worried for a moment...

Yes, good point gents....Lets hope that his next decree states that all FARUNG suspected (no evidence required)of supporting the Thaksin backed corruption, criminal gangs (red shirts etc...) and proxy stooges. to be rounded up and deported and banned from entering the kingdom for ever.wai.gif

  7. Police noticed a suspicious boat moving across the Mekong River towards Thailand at around 4am.

What does a suspicious boat travelling across the river look like?

Funnels of bong smoke pouring out the back, Bob Marley cranked up full blast, little Laotians with rastafa hair do's,tea cozies on their heads and blood shot eyes swinging off the boat???cheesy.gif
