Once again the mines department are not mentioned , the NCPO need to review this departments charter, mines inspectors should make unannounced monthly visits to mining sites throughout Thailand , monitoring of waste material dumps , water way's , safety of people , machinery, to make sure that mining companies are complying with their obligations and to handle any complaints from nearby residents, the Environmental Authority should also send out inspectors to check for Environmental damage, both should have powers to place probation notices or close mines down .

What would a man like the good general know about democracy?

If he has spent his adult life in the Army, I would think that the answer to that question would be very little, as the military does not operate in a democratic way.

Its a shame that the people can't conduct a peaceful protest regarding energy reform and rising power costs and the dropping of rubber prices, (with out the threat of arrest) which are serious every day issues concerning the people of Thailand.

there is no logical answers on your response., nothing happened never in these funny 100% thai mafia clubs to you because perhaps you have been lucky or they can see that you like their way to be or you are very carefull...anyway myself i dont like men who look like woman or pretend to ....so i never go to these places.

What would happen if he got caught doing this back home?

He would be treated guilty until proven innocent he would be held for as long as 72 days until the police collected all of the evidence and witnesses necessary to convict him.

The police would also beat a confession out of him.

the sentance would be a lot worse.

Voters should be educated about the policies in order to improve their judgement for casting ballots.

After how many years of claiming to be a Democratic Nation? still are unable to agree on what the nations style of democracy is ...Come on, really???

What they should look at doing, is pimping out all of the old planes and turning them into mile high planes, set them up inside with bars, casinos and the all so famous Thai bar girls and lady boys once they are flying in International air space they can open for business, they can have all types of themes to suit all of the different types of intrepid travellers and adventures.

I have only ever had one thai ever apologize to me, he was a chinese thai and a Christian.

I explained to my thai wife, that was the first thai I have seen a thai give an apology. And she agreed it was the same for her.

My current Thai wife only realised to apologise, after I pointed out the above statement and until that time I actually thought it was part of Thai culture not to apologise e.g. loosing face and "I am older than you therefore I know better than you" etc....

My first Thai wife, not only would she not apologise, she would deny everything, then make such a song and dance about it to the point she made you feel guilty and sorry for ever asking for an apology, or ever pointing out that she had done anything wrong.

If you are interested I can give you many more examples of Thais not apologising for their actions (it will be a massive list I have 30 years worth of them) or even put up a post on TV about this topic.
