  1. There is lot's of Yoga on the island. That being said, even if you go and check out Agama's course and it's not to your liking there are about 5 more places to do Yoga all within a 5 to 10 motorbike ride in the same part of the island. During high season, that is.

As mentioned before there is the party scene and there is a Yoga scene as well. You can find Yoga classes and courses on Thong Nai Pan, Had Tien, Had Yuan, Had Wynam, Had Rin, and the greater Had Yao area.

Samui has a lot as well.

  2. Hi all,

I'm flying into Pattaya around 4:00. Can I just jump on a bus to Bangkok from the airport or train. Taxi to Hua Lumphong? What do you think the price.

I'm just dam_n lucky I'm getting there at all I guess.

  3. Go north on Highway 107 ... its the huge Gov complex on the left (heading north).

Finding the right building you'll need to ask ... its one of the buildings toward the left of the complex on the 2nd floor ... take a book!

Main building, enter through the main entrance, turn left on the ground floor and it is on the left.

I disagree with the above, I have been there to do two Thai passports, and have never waited more than 15 minutes. The passport is then sent to you.

my TGF ot her new passport from CM 2 weeks ago, in and out within 15-20 mins, passport was sent via ems postal service within 5 days to our address, perfect service.

What documentation did she have with her. We may try to do this in bkk, but not sure if we will have time. Chiang Mai is our second choice. Someone mentioned tabienbaan and I.D. Card? Can you ask your girlfriend what she needed to have with her.

    Thanks a lot

she took her I.D card and her old passport, we took some photo's also but there is no need as they do a digital photo straight on to the computer, also they scanned her finger prints into the computer. so basically ID card and maybe a copy of her family book if she hasn't got an old passport. If you do it in BKK apparently it is ready the following day, it only takes the 5 days in CM due to being posted to/from BKK. regards TM

Thanks for that Okay the family book... glad I asked that's the tabienbaan. He'll have to go to his village to get that.

    Thanks

  5. I live on Had Tien and the road is very dangerous if you have never been on it. Right now raining and no one is driving on the road. Earlier this year one of the trucks from Had Yuan flipped. If you have a dirt bike and know what you are doing okay, but after the road is dry! I wouldn't do it without looking at it first.

Last season about 10 people had to pay my friend to take them and their Motor Bikes back from where they came from. 1000 baht at least per. That's just one of the trucks that drive that route regularly. I'm sure the trucks from Had Yuan have been paid to do the same.

  6. Assuming you are feeding kitten formula. Making sure the little guy is hydrated and keeping nice and warm. If you've been on rehab websites I'm sure you've got all the information you need.

Proper diet and after eating on it's own, the best thing to do is to stop handling and talking to it. Even now as a baby try to avoid talking to it.

Slow release should work okay, keeping cage door open during the day and closing at night when it is inside. Make sure that you give it lot's of variety of things to eat. Branches lots of them, leaves and not too many nuts and fruit. Rodent pellets if you can find them is good.

    Good luck

Even without a cage mate he/she will wild up pretty well

  7. Sorry .12 baht

Our biggest problem is the minimum order. It is very large. We do want to get bio-bags as well and this company has them. But again the order is huge.

As far as I can tell this is the only manufacture of it's kind in the Kingdom. If anyone out there knows of any other ones please get in contact with me.

I can go out and buy corn starch straws in the super market here in California. Thailand is a whole different story, but if we group together and create a demand the supply will come and it will get cheaper as the demand becomes more the norm.

Meanwhile again if anyone is interested please get in touch.

  8. I have found a company in Bangkok that produces Corn Starch Straws and other decomposable/biodegradable products. As many of you know, my pal Spike and I have started Green Phangan. We are looking for restaurant/bar owners to join us in placing an order with the company.

The price of one straw is about 12baht per straw. We need to place a fairly large order which is why we are posting here. We have few businesses on board with us. If you are interested or know of a business that might be please pm me.

I have all the information of the company etc. But I'm not sure if I can post on here.

Please pass this on. Wouldn't it be nice to know that the straw your drinking out of will de-compost in a matter of weeks, not over 30 years? :o

  9. One of the reasons that you are seeing less people is all the construction going on. On TNP last year you could barely get away from all the noise on Yai. Had Rin same thing and no type of compansation for the poor suckers who pre-pay for their holiday on the beach to arrive and find a construction zone next to their room.

People are going home and telling all their friends and travel agents. We had people all last year coming to our area complaining about it.

  10. maybe we should get seville to put that on one of her signs around the island.

Sorry to hear about the poisoning again, but Green Phangan will not be adding anything about the Stray Animal situation. Supporting PAC is by far the best thing we can do so give what you can. And if you can get an animal to Samui to get fixed even better. They have more vets, time and money especially now to help out the four legged ones.

  11. For anyone interested we are moving forward and have had our website translated so far into German. Thai and French soon to be up and running. In addition to our sign Campaign that should be hitting the island this December, we are currently getting in touch with a company that produces corn starch bio-plastics here in the Kingdom.

They produce, drinking straws, take away boxes, utensils, garbage liners and small bio-plastic shopping bags. It is our hope to get the businesses on the island to make the switch to bio-plastics that will compost inside of a few months.

We would be delighted for business owners here on TV to join us in any of our Green projects.

  12. It would be a shame if it was just a freak electrical fire that was misconstrued as vandalism/arson which caused the organization to shut down under false pretenses. If it was indeed an act of arson it would similarly be a shame that PAC would be unable to continue operation due to fear of repeat offenses. I hate to see the victim victimized. Punishing PAC for being the victim of suspected arson is the opposite of what needs to be done in this situation. I don't have the answers, but it saddens me to see the way this is being handled.

The damage being what it is they need to close regardless. So the bottom line is, let's not let them close! They need our support more then ever. You can donate through paypal. Just a few clicks.

  13. Hi all,

Just giving this a shot. Myself and a few other TV members are starting a webpage and want to a Thai version we could use a hand. I don't think it would be too much time for the right person. But who knows.

Anyway, it's for a good cause and thought I'd ask on here.

for more information we have a group on face book Green Phangan
