Hi
Does anyone know a company in Bangkok that can get rid of scratches in Parquet flooring?
Cheers

Well, I wish I was a millionaire but I'm not, unless we're talking in THB. still I wouldn't finance something that I can buy out right with cash and a scooter isn't that much money really. You in general end up paying a lot more on finance.
I'm not sure what sort of scooter the OP is talking about however, 170,000 is a cost of a brand new Kawa z250, it's more than one needs for a brand new Honda CBR 150 or 250 and even rumored 300 shouldn't e more than that.
A 170,000 scooter? If it's a 170K bike you're talking about, then my advice doesn't really apply, so go ahead with what NomadJoe suggested.
It is a Honda Forza. Obviously if i was going to buy a bike for 20-30k I would not have even made the post regarding finance.

Finance a scooter?? Can't you save for a month or 2 and just buy one?
The bike costs 170k, I could save but getting finance would make things easier.

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible for a farang to purchase a bike here on finance, or does it have to be in a Thail person's name?
Thinking of buying a little runaround scooter.
I have a work permit.
Anyone know? Cheers

Hi MH
I have a Vari Kennel (Giant Size) The only thing is , it has been sat outside so it has become discoloured. I paid 13k for it a few years back and would be open to offers if you are interested.

thanks for that - will I get still get another 60 days from tomorrow? CheersThe Visa is still valid but expect to pay an overstay fine of 1,500 Baht.

I am on the first part of my double entry tourist visa and I should have either left the country or extended by the 17th, today is the 19th. No excuses, just a mix up with dates. My question is, has this overstay made the visa invalid. I I go to poipet tomorrow will I still be able to get a second entry (visa says I must enter the country befor March 18th)... What are the best options? Would appreciate some pointers. Cheers

I live on this road and the police turn a blind eye to hundreds of motorcycle racers every Friday, Saturday and Sunday . Sometimes it is next to impossible to drive down this six lane highway after 2 am, with cars lining the side of the road to act as a makeshift grandstand and motorcycles driving at you in the wrong direction .. Bout time they cleaned it up

Me too, back to normal

Ok, sounds like there is definitely a problem then .. Just tried CNN.com and BBC.co.uk No luck with either

Sorry, I mean that temples and other entertainment venues should be banned from keeping tigers or any other endangered wildlife...the monks at the tiger temple are a nasty bunch and blatantly lie to conservation NGOs about the reasons behind them keeping tigers ... It's been over yen years since they lied on animal planet saying
that the money was desperately needed and a new enclosure would be built within a year ... They still live in the same cages whilst the monks continue to rake in the cash !!
-
There is no restricted area at this so called temple with fake monks ... The tigers ate bred and sold to Laos and onto china ... The place should be banned but it won't be as too many people are making too much money from it !!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a 24 hour car wash in Bangkok

Mightyharris, sorry to have to tell you but Howard from Bunters passed away last month.. And you're right , he was a lovely guy.. His wife is keeping the business going so you orders can still be placed at that number..

Call the police every few days anonymously, get Thais to do it, say you have every reason to believe he is selling drugs from his house...

During a 4 year stint in Nigeria during the early '90's (with regular leave thank heaven!) Fray Bentos tinned pies were a permanent item on my wifes "buy as many as you can when you see them" list.
Here however I do not miss them at all - Lady Pie is very good, and only a month or so ago I discovered pies made by Bunters Foods which were definitely the best I have found in Thailand.
Sadly the owner of Bunters Foods - Howard Hilton - passed away a few weeks ago and I am not sure if his wife is keeping the business running.

Hi,
Yes, Howards' wife is keeping it going and you can order as usual...or visit their place to pick up an order.
Have to agree, the best pies in Thailand. Howard was a good mate of mine and its really sad that he's not around anymore, however his name will live on wit the excellent food he made.
Keep supporting Bunters!!
Cheers
