  1. Its a "Pasty" not a "Pastry" - That Fish and Chips place near Khao San does the best Cornish Pasty i have had outside Cornwall by the way..

    Hi,

for the last three month's we have been selling a lot of our Steak & Ale Pies at the Bistro and Chefsxp - they go down a treat with regulars at the Bistro and on line as well - I have now decided to add a "Cornish Pastry" to our menu which I'l be making today and which will be added to the menu tomorrow - its gonna be traditonal in a short crust pastry with nothing but good Beef Onions and Potato's as a filling - its also going to be substantial in size and a full meal on its own

  2. Thanks for that - i have just sent them an email :o

    Hi,

Why do you not contact Thong Lor Animal Hospital? They used to have training and puppy socialization classes there. Not sure how it is now, as last week I hear that their main trainer, Fred Alimusa, went back to The Philippines.

If you search this forum, you will find their website and address.

  3. Hi,

I have a 3 month old Bullmastiff puppy (male) and i am looking for someone with friendly dogs/puppies (with vaccinations) that he could spend a bit of time playing with... I know how important it is for puppies at this age.

If anyone is interested - please let me know.

    Much appreciated

  4. Hi,

I will be driving out to Ratchburi next week to collect my new puppy - i have bought a cage for him at home and because he is a big breed i got a large cage and will partition it off until he is fully grown.

My dilemma is i need to get hold of a crate to transport him home as the one i have is too big to fit in the car and it seems pointless buying it just for one days use...

Anyone know of anywhere to get one on rent or similar??

    Thanks

  5. If you ever decided to put a Rueben Sandwich on the menu I would certainly eat it.

    Hi,

would love to do a Reuben sandwich, but the problem is the Bread since the traditional Reuben asks for Rye Bread. I can see myself throwing expensive Rye away every day. I figured that the "Reuben Burger" will be ordered more often and is a good compromise,

John, any chance of adding a blue cheeseburger to the menu? at the moment to get that i have to go allllll the way to OMC at Khao Sahn. Also - do you have wifi in the bistro?

I went over to Oh My Cod and tried the bluecheesburger today after reading ur post...Wow, is that darn good or what? And its not microed - asked the staff who said freshly grilled...will go back there even thoug not in area, worth the trek over town

  6. Excellent, thanks for that. Will check with Boots tomorrow.

    Thanks

Boots have them, check the website for your local store.

They might even have them at airport shop.

I know they had them in transit in Suvarnabhumi between Domestic -International beside the Garden restaurant.

  7. They were 1.3 litre engine before. Now they are at 1.5 litre. But I'm concerned the car may not continue production next year.

Just buy a Daihatsu Xenia - thats what it is ...with a Toyota badge on it.

Drives like a Daihatsu too...i wouldn't be surprised if it was discontinued .

  9. My Fortuner was registered as a Fortuner....

Fortuner and Vigo using the same platform, thats why, its ok. biggrin.gif

So if you have a Ford Focus it is okay to have it registered as a Mazda 3 or a Volvo S40??? Same platform...

Whilst it may not be a problem now, it very well could be when you come to sell it. I would be wary buying an SUV when the registration book is for a pick-up.

  10. Freelander WAS assembled in Thailand a couple of years ago at the same facility where Volvo kits get thrown together. Its no longer assembled here as they have a large glut of unsold Freelanders. That price is probably referring to the 2002 model which has the old headlights as the most easy way to recognise it. The upgraded model 2003 with the new style lights and interior is more expensive. Last I heard they still had to shift about 250 of them before the new model arrives and they sell at the rate of about 4 a week.

The only good Freelander from what i have heard is the new model introduced this year (2007) The previous models suffer from poor quality issues.

  11. This is also my first choice , have bought pick up now looking for a car , thought about buying this in Black , if you dont mind me asking what did you pay ? any free extras ?

    JB

    Hi.

I paid 1,280,000 and got free insurance, free "active body kit" and free " Lamina" window film and rubber mats and cargo tray.

    Very pleased with it.

I sold my Fortuner to get this and i can say that the quality of materials used in the Honda is far superior. I never liked the cheap finish on the Fortuner. Ride quality of CRV is far better too.

I also changed from Black (fortuner) to Silver(crv)

I love Black and think it looks great when clean.. BUT it looks terrible with only the slightest bit of dirt or dust and also shows up the smallest of swirls and scratches.

    Cheers

  12. The Mark 2 Freelander i suspect?? Not a good car if you believe the juornos'

I guess they are trying to clear the stock before the new Mark 3 is sold here...Now that is a good car and is selling well in the UK.

Ad in today's Thai Rath newspaper for Freelander, priced at 1,490,00 baht. Are these assmbled here now - sounds too cheap for import? Sorry if this isn't news or has been discussed elsewhere, I don't follow this forum so much. Thought I'd post it before everyone rushes out & buys the Daewoo Captiva :o
