  1. Do you have a link for that as every video i have seen is inconclusive as he is obstructed by the ice officers around him, All you can see is one ice officer draw his gun and shoot
  2. exactly what they said to me when i told them it should be going down, not up
  3. There is truth in every one of your points but point 3 has to be the most valid. Thailand keeps saying that it wants to be a family destination but no one (if aware) are going to go to a destination, with their family, that openly sells weed everywhere. Regardless of the fact its not openly in sight, as a parent you just would not do it. Unless of course your a pothead. Their losses will ultimately outweigh the gains
  4. A complete BS smoke screen to cover up the fact that his previous manifesto idea of cracking down on the the boat gangs is and always was a load of tosh (even if they could of cracked down on the gangs, for every one they caught there would of been another 20 ready to take their place, such was the scale of profit to be made) The idea centres around not being to get a job without showing your ID but you cannot get a job unless you provide a NI number (which has always been in place) and cannot get unless you have residency so its just another, total waste of time and money
  5. That is exactly what happened in our village and all surrounding villages, last time around. everyone who turned up to listen to their speech was given 200 Baht, all coordinated by the village headsman. Surprise surprise the whole village turned up. When the opposition candidate turned up they ended up walking around the village talking to individual's or very small groups of people
  6. If only the same could be said of president Donald Trump making false statements to acquire loans under false pretences. A true criminal in every sense of the world. when will Americans finally wise up to the fact that they are being railroaded by a dictatorial madman insisting its my way or the highway.
  7. So he can join the 80% of the above average wage workers who also cant afford to live in London. The only people that can afford to live in London are migrants, people left large inheritance's, or people claiming council properties ( If that's even possible in London )
  8. with 1.5 million views on tik tok it looks like he has already found it. just needs to make a couple of blogs a week, detailing his experiences and he will have a steady income
  9. No. The one i was referring to actually happened many years ago. i only found out about it when someone i knew said he had to go and see his ex wife and she was resident in the high class flats, rented via housing society or council . Although a friend, i would of had nightmares at the thought of having him as a neighbour or even resident in the same block. Probably same area (ocean Village) though just another project. Unless things have changed in the last few years it seems/was very prevalent in Southampton.
  10. It happens, a friend of mine has worked on a number of sites has said exactly that "who the hell is going to buy these 400k+ houses at one end of the street just to have council houses at the other end " When they built high quality flats in a marina in Southampton 20% were allocated to social housing with the only stipulation being they could not be bought at a later date.
  11. The US is now seen by countries all around the world as untrustworthy and a country you would prefer not to do business with. In light of what he has done would you conduct business with him? Wherever possible, countries are now seeking alternative countries to trade with. Even if Trumps BS plan saves the country money in trade tariffs the damage he has done/will be done, will probably eclipse that 10 fold. I think it will be more important to see US export quotas in about a year as it will take time for countries to find alternative suppliers, but i am sure they will, at a massive cost to the US economy.
  12. I'm not an American so can't comment of all of the problems of the Biden presidency. What i do know is that during Trumps spell in office he never failed to be in the news for his ridiculous statements and actions. He was considered by many outlets to be the laughing stock of the world again and again and again. In the UK we also had our fair share of idiots who would campaign, making outrageous statements, offering things that would destroy are economy if put in place but looked great for the populace. Luckily none of these campaigners ever got to be in office Trump just seems to tells people what they want to hear regardless of whether its possible or not and people believe him which is not a good sign for the average intellect of the American people.
  13. This whole debacle has been painful to read. Whilst some of your advice may of been ok some of it was not and created a situation much worse. 1 - You have no dash cam and left the scene 2 - Trying to blame a motorcycle that was stationary It was hit through lack of judgement (distance) 3 - Now claiming your advice is good and he will lose face with no money ??? If he so choses he can again call the police and force their hand. They will then tell you (not ask) to come to the station to address the situation. That is how things are done here as you should know if you reside here. If you then refuse or not agree to the compensation it will then go through the insurance. Your friends' insurance will increase next year and you will have wasted 2 days filling forms and going to the police station. Whilst the son may of been an as@@@hole, rather than just trying to appease him when you were clearly in the wrong. you came over as domineering and interfering at the time which escalated matters. Maybe you should pay the other 2000 baht which might of been excepted if not for you.
  14. I agree with everything you say. however there was some truth to the posters statement. A friend went to a site and asked for a job "how much are you looking for" , "i could get 2 poles for that" were the answers. Brexit happened purely because of the migration of people from Europe to the UK putting such a burden on the UK from housing ,doctors, schools, you name it the list is endless. English becoming the second language in the primary school where my mother lived It was obviously deemed unsustainable, the government went to the EU and said we need an exemption to the freedom of movement upon which they were told to "get on your bike" it's not happening. A large number of nations agreed with our predicament and the need to address it. It might of been possible had it not been for the relentless refusals and interventions from Macron at the time Leaving the EU was never going to be a good thing, but it did, and possibly the best option in the long run, only time will tell? Options to tackle immigration has been thwarted by members of the opposition, house of lords etc at every turn by either to get one over on the opposing party or naivety from people living in their ivory towers. I don't know the answer but It's going to take something drastic . It's sad but one thing i have noticed is that you only need to take one look at most of the people rioting/protesting and it's not rocket science to see that the majority of them are unemployed dregs of society. Perhaps they all work nights enabling them to go out rioting and protesting during the day.
