Im going to attempt to get a WP via my wifes business. She doesnt have a limited company but instead pays tax via her personal name.
I have. a long checklist of docs I have to provide the L dept. When submitting these documents do they want 2 copies ie everything in duplicate or just 1 copy?
What is the recommended minimum salary level for applying for PR? Is it above 80k or 100k? I know for citizenship its 40k.
We are printing out/ filling out a generic work contract for me. Should it be dated the same day as submitting the docs to the labour dept?
thanks

In order to get citizenship you need PR first. Just tell you what I have been told in CNX asking each year until I gave up.
you 100% have no idea. If you are married to a thai lady and you have a WP / paying taxes for income greater than 40k a year you can go straight for citizenship (bypass) PR. Google it or ask on this forum

Only living here for 29 years, married for 28, Business WP etc etc, that's what I got as an answer after asking for 17 years and the years after. Ask others, you will get the same answer so where did you get your residentship not in CNX I guess? You must be aware that each immigration office and each officer has the freedom to a different interpretation of the same law. If you got it, good for you if not, what are you talking about. Have a nice day.
I think you are misguided on the thai citizenship topic. From what I've read there are rules for applying and they are the same across thailand. Theres a pinned topic on this issue and many farang get ctizenship based on marriage. Non married guys have to get PR first which is harder but then they go for citizenship

My girl, age 22 now, has never been allowed any 'private' contact with men, unless as part of a group or with a parent present.
I have a daughter myself. But read your comment and thought it was a bit over the top. Is she not allowed to have a boyfriend. Its normal you know....

I'm actually going to have this done tomorrow! I'm in my 30s, slim, healthy enough, don't snore much that I know of, sleep fairly well ( however wake up on occasion) Reason for the test, fluctuating high blood pressure and potential heart issues.
what have your symptoms got to do with sleep apnea? why are you getting tested for this?

Just register all foreigners automatically.
Why does this have to be complicated?
With TM.30, TM.47, TM.7 they know who we are, our email and phone number, our gender, how old we are and where we live.
But no, we've got to go queue somewhere and fill out more paperwork. Now there will be a gazillion separate smokestacks of data scattered about the country.
The focus on registrations is INSANE. Focus on getting the vaccine(s).
Get real. YOur comment indicates to me that you have no idea about thailand or how incompetant their computer systems are. It would be the biggest mess of all if we relied on them using data from TM30, 47, 7 etc. But thanks for giving me my first laugh for today

Are you taking any medications or alcohol?
no. Sometimes have a beer at night but found it doesn't help me at 4am having to pee
-
I have been waking up at 4 or 5 am daily for ages and cant get back to sleep. I often wake up in hot sweat with irregular heart palpitations. I sleep with the air con on 26 'cool mode'. Sometimes waking up with dry throat. I have to pee at that time. I wonder if its just that I have to pee?
A few days ago I remember being in deep sleep and woke up not feeling well at all. I felt so tired and didnt want to get up to pee.
I have a deviated septum. I think when I sleep I only breath through my mouth not nose.
Should I get tested for sleep apnea? Whats involved with this testing?
thanks

Yes 40 K is what you have to make for the immigratie for your extension but the same immigration will only consider your request for residence when you make 80 K + minimum
A married guy can apply for thai citizenship after having a WP / income of thb40k. Its recommended to be slightly above that. ie pay taxes for greater than 3 yrs above that level

I'm shocked it would be accepted at a bank for ID with no photo. Your driver's license has your pp number on it.
The national park I spend huge amounts of time in would just laugh. I am on O visa, married to a Thai national, over 60 and have a WP. No discount. Doubt any pink card gonna help there.
you have no idea what you're talking about. The pink card is accepted along with the PP at the bank when opening an account. The national parks accept it and you get the discount.
I use it all the time when they ask for id.

If anyone is interested in my final decision then read on.
I asked my wife how much and how long does she think we should give a reduction and she said give one to the end of this year which I didnt agree with.
Thus, I decided to ask this question to the tenant and take it from there.
He said he wanted a 12k reduction for 3 months. The existing rent is in the low 40k mark. So I agreed to this on the priviso that they leave the recently installed metal structure for the signage on the front of the building. We asked our sign guy how much he would quote to do the same job. It came back at 60,000 baht. The tenant agreed and everyone is happy.
Last night we drove around our city trying to find a restaurant that was open. So many closed at the moment. The economy is on its knees. We only have China to thank for all this....

I wish I knew about Ethereum 2.0 when I bought 10 ethers "just for fun" ????
adding 22 ETH more is quite expensive now, so I'm waiting for the price to drop, but if the price won't drop until the 2.0 update then I'll have to swap some non-stakeable coins to ETH.
Do you want to buy another 22 to become a validator? Why do you want to do this?

until Ethereum team release 2.0 update there is no "real" staking, you just gave your tokens to some exchange to play with.
When are they saying that Eth2 will go live do you know?

I converted my ETH to ETH 2
Please correct me if Im wrong but is this technically correct? I thought there is only 1 ethereum token on the market at the moment? Or are you saying that bc you have staked the tokens then they become Eth2 tokens when Eth2 is live?
I still think its high risk for low return staking them. I don't like the idea of losing control over them

I have 421 Ether tokens
Wow. Thats huge.
When I staked some on Kraken a verfication message was stated that they will be locked away until Eth2 and that theres no guarantee of its success or of the staked tokens.
Do you see any risk in staking your ethereum? Staking all of your tokens implies you're extremely confident of getting them back one day. Do you mind if I ask who there staked with? What if you change. your mind and want to take profits?
What do you estimate to be the price at the time of Ether2 going live?
cheers

3 weeks ago I decided to sell some bitcoin and buy Ethereum. It turned out to be a wise decision. In the last 7 days its up 27.13%.
Is this all based on the up coming EIP1559 upgrade?
From what I've read... the real winner will be when the Eth2 upgrade occurs where the network will scale up transactions from 15 to 100,000 transactions a second. This has got to be the real game changer for Ethereum.
But software upgrades can have bugs/ faults and I still see this as high risk. Everyone remembers what happened with the KriptoKitties issue and the ether price tanked big time. This could easily happen again.
I think I will try not to sell until Eth2 is live but it will be hard not to if the price goes to 10k beforehand.
What do you think?

Having been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in the USA, this guy is a great example of why Thailand should do further background checks on people who wish to stay in the country long-term (in the same way a Thai who wished to stay long-term in my country would need to provide a police check from Thailand). If something like this guy's past comes up in a background check then he simply shouldn't be allowed to set foot on Thai soil.
hope they did one on you
