  1. To answer OPs question he/she should register at any crypto exchange (eg bitkub) and link your bank account. Transfer funds to your bitkub wallet.. Buy bitcoin. Buy a trezor hardware wallet and add the 25th passphrase word. Dont put that 25th word with the other 24 words. Never forget it. Transfer your bitcoin from bitkub to trezor. Wait 5 yrs and sell.

Just write it down.   It's what is known as a paper wallet.   Don't keep all 24 words in one place as anyone can simply plug those into a new wallet and have access to your funds.

Not if you had previously set up a 25th 'passphrase' word thats not written on that piece of paper with the other 24 words. This is a feature of trezor hardware wallets and highly recommended.

  3. The wife and I have a successful small business in Thailand and I was looking at the 6 monthly income figures because she has to pay tax every 6 months.

Basically, compared to last year we have noticed a two-fold increase in bank deposits because customers are not paying by cash anymore. They all want to use the mobile phone and scan QR codes. Also, I noticed that the number of customers using credit cards is down a lot.

When we opened our business near 3 yrs ago everyone was paying by cash. Obviously this makes it easier to do ones tax return.

But now massive bank transfers have occurred in the past 12 months. The Thais have really embraced this technology.  The government must be happy bc effectively this eliminates the black cash market.  Obviously there are ways around this if one abides by the 1.5mill limit/500 transaction rule etc on a subsequent bank account.

Have any other business owners noticed this trend?

I have the same problem, so I went and bought a fan, took it to the gym and left it there. The manager understands that anyone can use it, but it's mine. This is the second fan, the first one lasted about 3 years.

and what happens if you arrive at the gym and another customer is using your fan. Do you take it away from them whilst in mid use? ha ha

  5. I confess to knowing very little about cars. I purchased a high end hybid vechile and the rear wheels are driven by the gasoline and the front wheels are the hybrid.

I wanted to know if, generally speaking, driving the car in AWD is safer for controlling the car.

Recently I was driving the car with normal gasoline mode (not hybrid/electric mode). I proceed to overtake and was driving very fast. It was in a split second that the car

didnt feel right. I dont know if I was losing control but I took my foot off the accelerator and I felt I had control of the car again. It is for this reason I'm wondering if it is safer

to drive the car in AWD.

    thanks

  6. I read on mainstream press today that financial regulators in Bangkok shut down Bitkub in early Jan after the trading platform faced a series of lengthy service outages.

I didnt know this happened but heard from many members of this forum that they were not accepting any new clients.

I asked them about this recently and the rep told me that they did this bc they cant do KYC on new customers at the moment.

I like bitkub and hope they survive. Its another reason NOT to leave your crypto on any exchange.

    cheers

My friend (In Oz) is with ION....... last time he e-mailed me in January, he said that I was mad not to be in it & that -in time-just writing this e-mail to me he has made $672...... Looked at it yesterday, I think it is trading about $0.0232, I hope he didn't lose to much.

From last November over 1,700 Crypto Coins have collapsed.

    How many Cryptocurrencies have failed?

By November 9, 2020, at least 1,730 cryptocurrencies have failed, according to Coinopsy which tracks such failures. That is a significantly large number of dead coins, even when compared to the 7,616 cryptocurrencies that have been in existence so far.

It might be the builder returns the money

Thanks for giving me my first laugh for the day. You evidently don't sound very experienced when it comes to dealing with Thai builders. ha ha

Yes, all fine that you set up the exchange in the US and gave your Thai address, but try to set up an exchange in the US from Thailand and you are in for disappointment.

Sorry, my comment above is not well written. I was actually in Thailand sitting at my desk here when I registered with itbit and gave my id and address. They did KYC when I was here as well. Thus, it is possible to open a crypto account whilst being based in Thailand at a US exchange.
