Regardless, if you didn't make a claim, and let's assume something else happened to you, they could refuse to pay for anything as the contract becomes null and void once you have made a false statement.

Always disclose your pre-existing conditions, you can still get travel insurance without them covering you for your pre-existing condition, I have done it many times, having a heart condition also.

I mentioned above.... when applying for the travel insurance there is absolutely no questions about pre existing conditions. They dont require the information.

  2. i tested/ applied for several travel ins policies - up to the payment page. Non of them ask the question if I have any pre existing conditions. But all of them refer to the matter in the 'exclusions' fine print.

The above is the opposite to when I tried to apply for regular health insurance coverage for living in thailand. All policies asked if I had pre existing. I admitted to one insurer and was rejected.

  3. I have heart disease and Im on meds.

I worry that if I apply for travel insurance and get rejected due to being honest about my condition then its a pain trying to find a new company.

If Im over there and something happens I will not make a claim if its heart related as I know they will investigate and find out its pre existing condition.

Therefore should I disclose to the company or not?

    thanks

They work Minimum wages,  in the S.S. system,  get medical but personally from what I have seen with them and majority of Thais in general the hours are too long 10-12 hours with one day off which need to be changed?

This hurts the poor and the family unit I find it amusing that government seem find with 5 work days 8-9 hours day weekend off but do nothing for everyone else.

what you say is so true. we are guilty of working our staff long hours 6 days a week. I think we work them too hard and this is the reason why we have high turnover.

  5. Several years ago I arranged a visa for the wife and I to visit Europe. Im out of touch now with the process.

We want to fly to Vienna first and then Budapest and return 2 weeks later.

Do we simply apply at the Austrian consulate and surely this covers entry to Hungary as well?

Actually she wants to do a 3 day course there. Do you agree its unnecessary to mention this or does it help to substantiate the visit?

Finally, am I able to complete the whole process and even take her passport to the consulate. Its difficult for her to take time off from the bar.

If you have done this recently please assist

    Many thanks

  6. I found an old speeding ticket (photo of my car on the hwy) and cant remember if I paid it or not.

How can I find out if I have any outstanding fines to pay?

A few years ago I remember visiting the dept of cars and someone checked on the computer and confirmed that I had no outstanding fines. I visited them again yesterday and they said they couldnt confirm anything for me. They said I would have to go to the traffic police.

Anyone have any ideas about this

    thanks

Maybe the best one to use is Bitkub, which is owned by Siam Commercial Bank, the oldest bank in Thailand.

I also use Crypto.com, however I couldn't get the credit card sent to my address here -  I got my mother to send it from the UK. It is great as I also get 3% back on every payment. I pay 4 DTAC bills a month, all petrol, Macro shopping, tesco and Big C, school  and university fees. I even bought gold with it.  I had to invest in their coin to get the cashback but they also have free cards.

    https://crypto.com/cards

Binance is also OK for using in Thailand and they have a great P2P service. If I want to sell coins, I can get money sent straight to my Krung Thai account.

I recently got Revolut which is simple to use.

    https://www.revolut.com/

thanks for the info on cryptocards. Im from the Uk and might do the same as you.

Is the only reason to stake CRO with them is to get the cashback?

Is it just a matter of applying for a free card and using my uk address? Is it that easy.

Then just send btc  to my wallet linked to my card?  Would they be sharing this info with the Inland Revenue in the uk? Could I be getting myself in hot water even if Im not a tax resident of the uk anymore?

    thanks

I use Coinbase.  Being in LoS I cannot use the exchange facility or the Buy/Sell, but I can receive payments and send them with no problems

Im sorry but I dont understand. Im still learning about this. But are you saying that coinpayments is similar to coinbase?

If I look at a VPN company there are several ways to pay. One way is cryptocurrency and theres a <Coinpayments> button there. Theres no coinbase button option.

Or are you saying that you use coinbase to buy and sell crypto?

  9. Do you use any of the crypto payment app inside or outside of Thailand.

I noticed that ‘coinpayments’ accepts Thai residents. But ‘coingate’ does not.

If you use either of these wesbites do you have any positive or negative feedback?

What do you use them for exactly? I presume it’s a matter of sending ones bitcoin, for example, to an account wallet and subsequently paying for goods or services on various websites that accept the above systems.

Do you know any companies in Thailand that accept 'coinpayments.net' transactions?

A read one review stating that their systems can detect a VPN and best not to use one.

I cannot find the crypto forum and thus raise this in general

    cheers

As I gather this is new, and it may be  growing in size, definitely you should see a doctor. And quickly. Melanoma needs to be ruled out.

I very, very, very much doubt your wife is knowledgable about skin cancers that mainly affect Caucasians -  even most Thai doctors are not.

Even among Thai dermatologists, expertise in skin cancers is low and there are only a few places I could recommend going for accurate diagnosis. Where in Thailand do you live?

Bangkok. Do you know a cheap doctor.

    thanks

  11. I'm an old school farmer guy (retired) and don't normally go to the doctor unless its serious. My ex misus from the mother country would have forced me to go to ER by now, but my current thai wife says to me don't worry about it... 'its nothing' she says

Its possibly been getting bigger over the months.

Anyone with experience with this can you tell me if its worth forking out for a doctors fee at a private hospital?

    thanks

A lawyer prepared contract gives no added protection against land office coalition as the name change might happen at a later time

If corruption did occur its at least better to have the attorney contract as evidence to the contrary. Not having it means that the only real evidence you might have is a photocopy of the bank draft you gave to the seller.

The concrete does not require 28 days for each inch of depth that is just not true, if that was the case a normal 4inch or 6 inch slab would be unusable for 4 to 6 months. !! and multi storey buildings would take many many years to complete

The 28 days often mentioned regarding concrete strength, is the time the concrete takes to reach its nominal "design" strength ,( regardless of its thickness) , which is not something to worry about when considering a ground bearing slab for a normal house,  Rather is a figure used for design calculations for load bearing members  on multi-storey buildings for example, even in that situation the supporting formwork for each floor can normally  be removed  after 7 to 10 days as the concrete will be fully self supporting by this time even though it will not have achieved its full design strength!.

A normal ground bearing floor slab can easily be walked on after 8 to 12 hours, even sooner in these hot temperatures  in fact as soon as it is hard to the touch, and, it is perfectly normal practice to build block walls upon the slab the day after pouring.

Purpose made tile adhesive cement (poon gao) is actually a little slower setting than a normal sand and cement mix and personally I would leave the grouting up till the next day  .Although what ever was used,  in this hot weather I doubt there will be a problem after 3 hours.

how long will it take for the grout to dry. they come tomorrow to put the grout in between all the gaps of the tiles. How long should we wait before using the shower in there?

    thanks

If he's laying the tiles directly on a cement screed as the bonding for the tiles, it will likely take more than 3 hours, even though the screed mix is usually quite dry.

I would consider this method carefully, as there is more likelihood of the tiles de-bonding, than with a dedicated tile adhesive.
