Yes, that's the Line app everyone is using. We're looking for separate apps for iPhone and Android.
Misunderstood. Sorry, can't help with that.

There's nothing by that name in the Google Play store. Can you please give the *exact* name of the app or a link to it? Thanks.
I just downloaded it via LINE on my computer and it was automatically picked up on my phone. It is in Thai, but I'll get my girlfriend to help me with that. Not sure I'll be able to register as I don't have a pink card, but we'll see and it's a start. -

we chose to live here
there is no recipricol healthcare agreement as in Europe
So of course we should have to pay for it.
If we do get it free, and have to pay a small dr fee......so what?
People should stop complaining about nothing.
I don't have a problem paying a small fee or even a large one. However, whether or not there is a reciprocal healthcare agreement of not, in Australia and the UK, the two countries I am familiar with, ANYONE who is there will be given a FREE vaccination, regardless of residence status etc.

The official numbers for vaccination are close to 1,000,000. How they managed to not vaccinate hospital staff is a mystery to me.
Because it was much more important to vaccinate the idiots running the country and the hi-so's than the plebs.

If any farangs think that the government cares about them, IMO they have not been paying attention to what is going on.
The days when farangs were welcomed to LOS were IMO long ago.
IMO they want us all to be 30 day millionaires on visa exempt entry, spending large and then going back whence we came.
It's not a matter of the government caring about farangs, it's a matter of the government caring about the health and safety of the, predominantly Thai, population as a whole.
We are in the middle of a pandemic and people should be encouraged to take tests. Making farangs pay is hardly an encouragement, coupled with the knowledge that if you test positive you may be imprisoned in some hell hole Thai field hospital, even if asymptomatic.
Free tests and the opportunity to self-isolate would offer rather more of an incentive to test and then they might actually get some infection figures that are worth the paper they are printed on.
But such radical ideas might give the impression that the government of this country had a couple of brain cells inside their collective heads and we know they do not.

The headline and the way it is written will stir up all the PC brigade who like to endlessly claim they are victimised "It's not fair"
500 baht.
Who cares?
Actually, a foreigner in Australia would not have to pay for a COVID test. We are not talking about Medicare cards or cheap medicine here, we are talking about public health and safety in the middle of a pandemic.

The only rule I have seen regarding this is no gatherings of 50 people and more.
Is it OK for 5 to 6 people to get together for a few beers in a private home?
I have read nothing to suggest that this is not allowed, on private premises.
Gatherings in public places, in Prachuabkhirikhan for sure, are not allowed, regardless of numbers, unless a traditional event such as a wedding, ordination, funeral etc. and authorised by District Disease Control Operation Center and complies with the criteria and conditions required by the Office of Public Health for PrachuabKhiriKhan Province.
It's all in the order dated 13th April issued by the office of the Governor of Prachuabkhirikhan Province.

With regards to these measures commencing at00:01 on Sunday 18th April and concluding on 30th April.
The Governor of Prachuapkhirikhan brought in pretty much identical measures on 13th April, with an indefinite time limit, so those of us residing there are already under these measures, with no end date yet.

so alcohol in restaurants will stay, just limited hours.
what time are they allowed to start serving it?
Read carefully before commenting.....
All other restrictions will largely be the same in either zone, such as schools closed and no alcohol in restaurants, while pubs, bars, karaoke and massage parlours will be closed.

so you say all bars and restaurants should close ?
are you saying you have more chance of catching this "deadly" virus in a bar or restaurant than say a market or other crowded places ?
Should we close everything down then.?
Look at any market, see how many people are crowded together , many without masks and no social distancing , yet they stay open
Or does this magic virus only attack people who are in bars drinking ?
Such fear and scaremongering for what is a minute number of deaths and ICU admissions.
You've more chance of dying crossing the road than with covid
In bars and restaurants people don't wear masks. I don't know where you go shopping, but in every market, shop, shopping centre etc. that I go to, EVERYONE is wearing a mask.
And as for the dangers of crossing the road we all know about that and also the lunacy of riding a motorcycle whilst wearing a mask but no helmet.
But actually, the real point I was trying to make, is why do bars have to shut when restaurants are allowed to sell alcohol as if they were bars? Fine to sit and have a beer or a glass of wine with a meal, but that is not what was happening, as you would know if you bothered to look.
Anyway, the Governor of Pratchuabkhirikhan has solved that problem by banning the sale of alcohol in restaurants and good on him, because, as I said before, many restaurants were simply taking the p*ss. Now we have a level playing field.
I wonder how many bars that were masquerading as restaurants are now bothering to open? I've noticed that many are now closed, as they should be, if the other bars are forced to close.

You really think they would do that in a country where money is king they are only open for one thing money and they will not turn it away
last drink ban i see 1 restaurant using tea pots and cups on the table selling beer and know this for a fact because i used this restaurant till i see that happening
I know of at least one that did that as well and is again doing so today. Must be paying the MiB handsomely.

That's fine, but that didn't happen did it. The restaurants became surrogate pubs and bars.

Lunacy. Serving 1 beer or glass of wine with a meal is unlikely to improve your chances of catching covid as if you had a coke.
No, the lunacy is that they are allowed to stay open at all, COVID doesn't care if you are having a meal or not. The fact of the matter is that when they shut the pubs and bars the 'restaurants' took over their trade and continued serving alcohol, without serving food. They took the p*ss and now they are being stopped from doing so and about time too.

Totally agree. Here's an interesting article from the BBC's health correspondent. A long read, but worth taking the time to do so.

A very interesting article and for what it's worth, I absolutely agree. I suggest that those countries that have suspended the use of Astra Zeneca vaccine read it.

We can sit back and watch the road toll at least double with this increased speed limit .
It'll make absolutely no difference whatsoever, as most people driving on Thai roads take no notice of the speed limits anyway.

Your maths is not good. Don't you mean the other 83000?

I absolutely agree with you and generally ring the restaurant first, to see if they are able to arrange their own delivery, thereby saving them and me money. Most are able to do so.
