can somebody explain to me how this service is any more legal than the 100s of other free but very much illegal streams on the internet?
i'd like to purchase but worried if i get a year subscription it will be banned by game 3
I have asked the same question and I think it's reasonable if they were to publish their answer here since they are a sponsor.
any update from the OP?
i hope support is better

i guess the myth of immigration turning a blind eye as foreign teachers are "needed" can be put to rest now then

Id be more worried about all the ilegal building that has ocurred on Koh Tao. Phuket has already been targeted, expect very soon 70% being raized to the ground and returned toits original state........was only a matter of time.
good point, lots to knock down both there and on samui

if things are as bad as you say then for sure building a business based on easily available illegal labour isn't the soundest footing
but business is about solving problems. the strong have to solve to survive
samui and phuket's dive industry adapted in the past, i'm sure Koh Tao's will as well in time

ED visa is not a workable long stay solution. It is good for 3 years only.
ads everywhere for ED visa 1-10 years

Unfortunately, some like "Bald Eagle" this morning are getting caught in the drag net. His situation, and those of other oil rig type workers who get frequent R&R but live in remote areas without access to Thai consulates/embassies, fall into a grey area, whose only viable option is the visa-exempt entry.
Clearly they are not the target of the crack-down but have occupations and lifestyles which allow frequent vacations during the year. And they choose to come here.
i feel for them really because on the one hand it appears they are spending frequent holidays here but on the other, they appear to be living here full time and working offshore
right now that's one hell of a grey area to leave in the hands of an immigration official

On the plus side they won't need so many immigration officers, probably be able to cut 30-40% of those lovely friendly people. I'm sure they will quickly find new employment in the hospitality industry.
wouldn't that be ironic. get tough at the border, lose job a few months later lol

kind of ironic all the posters wishing harm on those wishing harm

@op

It can't be illegal when there are so many agents and law firms that offer this service, including forum sponsors.
Many people do it so it can't be illegal?
he's been in thailand 26 years, the place rubs off

You can get the O visa just by having the kid. Married also, even better. For either, you just need 400K or 40K per month. I believe you need your embassy to give you a letter if you go for the 40K route.
can you get an 'O' visa for having a kid? i though had to have custody as well? possible to extend based on this as well?

However, it seems from reading the comments here that the people who will be unfairly victimised by this are the offshore workers.
These guys probably have more than enough money to support themselves during their stay in Thailand, they don't work in Thailand, may not be married to a Thai and are probably under 50, they get tourist visas because there is no other visa class for them!!
if this really bites they'll have to dig into that bankroll and poney up for an elite card

^^^^
couple of hours mooching around bintabang then samsong bar at midnight and Cat disco until the early hours
he should find what he needs there

I hope that at least, stories like this finally put an end to the often repeated statement here, that 'proper visas are easy to obtain!'
well.. easy to obtain, difficult to use

I was stranded in no mans land in 1997 for about 3 days as neither Malaysia nor Thailand would take me in.
Yes, I was riff raff and drunk.
Can't everyone see what Immigration are trying to do really?
I have 5 friends i Khon Kaen who buy their yearly visa from the Immigration.
I know of many other who buy their visa from other immigrations. They want to keep the money!
Myself, I was told I needn't do the 90 day reporting if I gave them a small fee.
Corruption but the good news is that, or maybe bad, is that the undesirables can stay but just giver their money to another place.
maybe much more of this, i've heard many reports of these from expats in my area too.
under the counter visas (from immigration) are the new backhanders

How about u are rich and young and not married? As the news of this spreads, more and more people will likely put of trips here as the confusion reigns.
^I seriously doubt this.
What it will do however is stop these people that have exploited a system that was not strictly enforced as it should have been. I support it 100%. I am glad those multi visa runners were displaced. I doubt they will be let back in from the airport
Either you are a tourist occasionally or you live here with a retirement, Marriage or Work visa.
I expect more borders to follow suit soon.
What kind of visa please?
thailand elite visa

I hope you are correct - wouldn't fancy being in a tourist related business at the moment. I find it hard to understand why if the so called undesireables were such, how come the Embassy issued them a visa in the first place? The brakes should have been put on right there IMO.
it's probably a logical next step, especially if people start going back to complain and in numbers
